I find your TH-cam videos interesting! I'm learning things I never knew about Ontario. I've grown up here. My grandparents and folks moved here in the early 1960s (after living in Van Nuys for a few years). I've lived in Ontario my whole life except for my college years. When my grandparents and folks first moved here we lived near I St and Del Norte. The homes they bought were brand new and there was not much else around. We shared our neighborhood with grape vineyards and field mice. My father still tells stories about those field mice and now he is quite elderly. I currently live near Hawthorne Elementary School.
Hi Susan! Thanks for sharing. I appreciate your interest. Your family help build this area, which is really cool. It seems like there've been lots of changes around here recently. Who knows what our city will look like in the future.
If you're referring to the zoning map then, no, the blue areas are public schools. The map doesn't have agricultural zoning. It's like 99% has been rezoned to residential. Farms and dairy farms still exist, but they are slowly being bought and built on.
Yep, as long as the Port of Long Beach is the largest container port in the U.S. and a major gateway for trade between China and the U.S., then the surrounding areas where there is enough land to build and store those goods for transport, will have warehouses and trucks. In short, it's an American thing. 😉. Also, homes on corners receive lots of dog poop from your neighbors and trash from teenagers riding around late at night, throwing out their fast food containers. Great video, and yes, we are moving to the area after years of being there so often due to our trucking schedule. 😉🙂

Are the blue area still agricultural land?

Welcome Soon-to-be neighbor! There is good and bad to the trucking industry, right? I did not think of the dogs or teenagers, that's a good point.
