  • In this short Springfree trampoline instructional video I explain the best technique for removing a Springfree spring rod from the mat.
    This Springfree trampoline was a large oval model (092) but using this technique should help with the removal of spring rods on Springfree trampolines.
    Removing a Springfree rod can feel almost impossible sometimes unless you use the right technique. I explain the stance, hand position and movement as well as the application of water to help.

    Thanks so much Lucas
    I was trying to pull the rods out to change the net this morning. I was ready to set the whole thing on fire, then set my house on fire before driving my car into the wreck. Your video saved my trampoline and my life.

    Don't hesitate for a moment to engage Lucas, you'll save time and stress getting your trampoline assembled or disassembled by a pro. Thanks Lucas for providing a first class service.

    We couldn't get ours to fully budge using this method so we had to combine this solution with another one we watched on YT. What we did was use this method to half-push the rod out, then go underneath and spray the joint with water, lie on our backs, grab the rod and use our foot to push the plastic joint free from the rod.

    Hey, thanks for this. It really made all the difference when we went to do this. And mad respect if you are doing disassembly and assembly as a one man team. That is impressive.

    Thanks mate, you are a life saver. I tried the 2 person method with my son and it took about 15 minutes to remove 3. Was about to call Springfree and pay them but luckily found your video first. Still wasn't easy but it worked.

    Thanks for this video!! It really helped my husband disassemble a springless trampoline faster. He watched a video before this and it didn’t help him at all. Once I showed him your technique he was powering through it. 😅

    Thanks. This made it possible to do myself. The only thing I'd add is there's a little switch on the top spring holder. Flipping that switch makes it a lot less difficult to release the ball (see th-cam.com/video/X2ESUFbsCRc/w-d-xo.html but don't use vice grips, use the Bay Trampolines method with also flipping the switch). I couldn't get a single rod out before I found the switch. After finding that, I had the whole thing down by myself in under an hour.

      @thebaytrampolines6543  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Rob
      Happy to have helped 👍🏽 the switch on the mat connector that you’re referring to are on older model Springfree trampolines but is definitely worth mentioning - thanks for the feedback

      The BAY guy must have super human strength. I could NOT do this. These things would not pop out.
      I tried using a WRENCH but you just have to be gentle with it or snap the plastic holders.
      Fold the mat back a little then wiggle it a bit and then POP, they will pop out eventually. Finally got mine apart!

      Thanks for the tip, I've been offered a springfree that's about 12 years old so long as I disassemble it myself to take it. So I'm guessing it probably has these little hidden switches that I now know to look out for.

    Hey - just replacing the trampoline floor - stuck on the first step of lowering the netting below (outside) of the white pegs. Any tips :)

    • @thebaytrampolines6543
      @thebaytrampolines6543  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi - do you mean the netting is too tight and you can’t get the net over the floor/mat? This can happen sometimes....sometimes it helps to gradually lower the net until you get to one section that’s still over the floor/mat and then try to lower that section gradually - the net is pretty rough and can handle being pulled about roughly. If that doesn’t work you could just leave that section over the floor/mat and start taking out the rods in the correct sequence - it just means that when you remove the rod at the area where the net is still up you have to take out the rod as soon as you release it from the mat so it doesn’t leave tension in the net...does that make sense?

    • @hillbillyjj
      @hillbillyjj 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thebaytrampolines6543 Yes that is what I meant, the net is too tight to pull down around the outside. Tried a few ways but cant seem to get it. Was considering the rod removal, so will go ahead with that. thanks for the advice.
