They still have the tent option that covers everything. What’s the jump height like? I’m looking for a quality trampoline with good bounce height.
The thunder is great for kids above the age of 10 as the jumpers need to have a some weight/force to get the most out of the leaf springs. If younger I’d go for the ultra 2 or ultra 2 pro. Springfree’s are great for all ages
Thoughts on the ultra 2 vs the ultra 2 pro? Is the Vuly better than jumpflex?
If your budget can stretch to the ultra 2 pro I would suggest going for that… It’s components are a better quality and the jump is that little bit better. I prefer Vuly to Jumpflex
thanks for all your great videos Lucas. Q? I have a 16 yo boy practicing tricks on his tramp bike. currently on a Kmart tramp, he is chasing a higher bounce to practice his tricks. probably weighs about 70kg atm. I'm tossing up between the Vuly thunder or the spring free but I have heard that some people don't like the bounce on the springfree. I would get a Vuly as I like the price point when on sale but lot of reviews for the Vuly are saying that the springs are breaking after after 18mths which has scared me off a bit.
Hi With the new Vuly range I’m hoping that the leaf Springs on the Thunder 2 and Thunder 2 Pro last longer because of the coating that should prevent rust - it’s the rust that weakened some Thunders (especially near the ocean). Both would be good choices…perhaps ask around to see if you can have your son jump on someone’s trampolines…
I put together a Vuly on the weekend 3 of the 10 poles that support the safety net aren't in completely. any advice on how to get these to fit?
Is on an ultra? They can be very hard to put on. Get them all in position and then go round pushing each one in - it’s not easy. If you’re in NSW feel free to get in touch for me to help if you want
@@thebaytrampolines6543 it's an ultra and I'm in Brissy mate. I'll hit the last 3 with a heap of WD40 and give it another go.
This video helped so much! Thank you!
Happy to help Alex 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Why do you think springfree over vuly?
Better bounce and more durable
I know it's been 3 years for you, but THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO!! It saved me from disaster!!
Really glad it helped 👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you
You're welcome
Do you recommend spraying railings w rust protection spray?
Sure it’s likely to extend the life of the frame
Do you recommend spraying some rust protection on the flat feet at time of installation?
Sure it’s likely to extend the life of the frame
Yo my bro. Can you get me one of these the biggest one?
I can’t but you can get them from the Vuly website
That’s awesome! Thanks mate
No problem 👍
What size is this in your video? Thank you
This is a medium (3m)
Is the rust on the bottom legs a big deal? There’s no holes just chipped the paint.
I’d only be worried if there were holes - you will get many more years if it’s just chipping. If it’s being placed on concrete/paving I’d put a gym mat to act as a barrier to extend its life
Thanks for review. Is there much of a difference between thunder and thunder pro?
There is a bit more force in the bounce in the pro, chance of rusting is less, the black frame is a nice look but the price is a lot more
Broke wrist and lower ribs. Got one rod out. Send more directions
If you’re unable to remove them using these instructions, it may be best to get a specialist
Thanks man, very helpful and thorough 👍
My pleasure!
I'm in Ireland so rain water congregating at the lowest point is a huge concern for me (less of a concern in NSW obviously) Will try a tiered approach 👍
Good luck
Thanks - good to have a visual idea of what 'good' looks like 👍 Love the bombastic music at the end too!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Tks a lot. Appreciate your fast and well explain vidéo !! 🙏
You are welcome!
Can adults & teens age 16 jump on the Vuly Thunder? Do you know anything about Jumpflex trampolines?
Vuly rate the Thunder at 150kg. I wouldn’t have two adults jumping at the same time. I recommend Thunders over a jumpflex
Great review. Really informative and helpful, thank you. Would you say that the bounce is as good as a traditional spring trampoline? Also, I was contemplating purchasing the large square shape version - any advice on placement of those jumping please?! Thanks so much
Thanks for the positive comment Charlie. Compared to the other commercial trampolines yes I prefer the bounce of the Springfree’s. Ideally jumpers should be in the centre but if you have more than one jumpers should be opposite each other so there’s not too much stress in the springs
This worked out great. Also will add that if the mat is wet it makes this 100X easier.
Glad it helped 👍🏽👍🏽
These things are way more of a pain to take apart had to do one today for my boss
Yes they’re not easy - hopefully this video helped you out
Can you not just bury the legs on the high side to level?
Which vuly trampoline is the best for 6-8 year olds? Or is there a better brand you recommend?
The Springfree brand is my personal favourite - it’s a little more in terms of cost but they last for many years and have a great bounce. If you wanted to go for a Vuly I’d suggest a Lift 2 or a Thunder
@@thebaytrampolines6543 thank you 😊
It would have been best to buy the XL so the kids will have plenty of room (and fun) as they get older.
If budget and space allows it it’s a great idea
Can you reattach them because 1 rod came out
Yes they can be placed back in doing the reverse of this process or If you live in Sydney/central coast of nsw I can help
Hi, looking at ordering the Lift for younger kids under 6. Is it difficult for a child or adults to enter or exit the trampoline? Does the closure area over time ever get stretched out? And does this item get made in China? Thank you.
It’s not difficult to get in and out at all for kids. Bit harder for adults. After years of use the entry can sometimes stretch or rip if a lot of weight is put on it. I don’t know where it’s made
Awesome tips Lucas you saved us a lot of time pulling our Trampoline down with in 20 minutes it was all packed up, this was a worth while video to watch
Great to hear!
Would you recommend springless if parents want to jump with their kids
Yes for sure. The traditional coiled springs on commercial trampolines can stretch over time due to the heavy weight/force of adults jumping
i have read reviews of the thunder outside of vulys website . And all the long term comments have stated that the leaf springs start breaking and at $100 for 7 springs it would be cheeper to buy a cheep trampaline every 5yrs
Personally I haven’t come across this often though it does happen occasionally (same with all trampolines and probably quicker and the cheaper ones). Leaving by an ocean can determinate them quicker due to the salt
@@thebaytrampolines6543 Personal experience, the leaf springs are a inherently flawed design on the trampoline and will start to fail due to accumulated metal fatigue at the flex point where they meet the frame after about 12-18 months. Vuly obviously have known about this for a while, which is why they have a warranty of only 12 months on their leaf springs but offer 5 years on the coiled springs. My old cheap coiled spring trampoline lasted 5 years of heavy usage on a poorly levelled site without missing a beat but the new expensive Vuly one has barely managed a year and half before being a money sink and disappointment.
I’ve got a massive slope in my garden. Really looking for how to manage a trampoline installation there?
Best option is to as has been done in this video
Wow thanks for helping us out 🎉
No problem 👍
Amazing very helpful thank you so much ❤appreciated
You are so welcome!
If only Vuly had different shapes to maximise space :(
Yes agreed
What are your thoughts on the compact round vs the compact oval, our boys are 4 years and 2 years. Thanks!
Having an oval means two jumpers can each jump with a bit more space than a round as the best jumping spot on a round is in the middle. If you have the room though I’d go for a medium oval rather than a compact oval
Great video. We just ordered ours. Thanks heaps for info!
Happy to help
Best video! Super helpful. Got the whole thing done on my own in less than 30 mins! Thanks Lucas!
Glad it helped!
Since you work with both, what's better? Vuly Thunder or Springfree?
Personally, I prefer the Springfree
What is better for lots of people
Bigger the better - jumbo round or large square springfree
This review is fantastic! I am picking one up second-hand for $550; it's three years old but in excellent condition. There is one tear in the mat upon entry, though. My kids are 2 and 4, so the point regarding the traditional springs being better for younger kids to provide easier bounce was something I didn't consider. It's large and comes with a tent and basketball hoop attachment. Is this a good deal? And can I fit it in a station wagon once disabled?
Hi Deborah Glad it helped. Yes it sounds like a great deal - a brand new lift 2 in large is usually $1100 when on sale
@@thebaytrampolines6543Yeah, we picked it up yesterday. Your review sealed the deal. Not even the owner knew you could flip the mat, which is excellent as the yellow side is sun faded. Thanks!

good job lucas from oscar
Great video. Do you think the bounce on a Vuly Lift 2 would be better for a 2.5 year old, from the traditional springs, versus a Springfree? Thanks!
Hi I wouldn’t say the bounce is better on a Lift 2 or Ultra but for the younger jumpers they definitely have a great bounce performance plus they are more affordable than Springfree’s. I wouldn’t hesitate to get an Ultra or Lift 2 - they are great options
@@thebaytrampolines6543 thanks so much!
Thanks for video! My husband and friend found it easy also to have the second person underneath the tramp and pull rod towards them selves while person out outside pulls ball out of socket.
Great job!
We couldn't get ours to fully budge using this method so we had to combine this solution with another one we watched on YT. What we did was use this method to half-push the rod out, then go underneath and spray the joint with water, lie on our backs, grab the rod and use our foot to push the plastic joint free from the rod.
Yeah they’re not easy to take apart - well done
Thank you!
Yeah I found this was 100x easier when wet.
Do you own this brand?
I have a Springfree trampoline at our place
Thanks for this great video! I live near the ocean. What trampoline would you recommend for salty air? I really appreciated your detail that the leaf springs in the Vuly Thunder and Thunder Pro tend to rust more quickly near the ocean. We don't have a huge budget, but if a Springfree would weather a lot better than a Vuly spring trampoline, maybe we should try to find a way. Thanks for any information!
Hi Amy Thanks for watching. The Springfrees do tend to last longer near the ocean so if you have the budget it may well be worth it 👍🏽
Hi Amy Yes the ocean does impact on the trampolines unfortunately. A springfree trampoline is probably the way to go
Thanks. This made it possible to do myself. The only thing I'd add is there's a little switch on the top spring holder. Flipping that switch makes it a lot less difficult to release the ball (see th-cam.com/video/X2ESUFbsCRc/w-d-xo.html but don't use vice grips, use the Bay Trampolines method with also flipping the switch). I couldn't get a single rod out before I found the switch. After finding that, I had the whole thing down by myself in under an hour.
Hi Rob Happy to have helped 👍🏽 the switch on the mat connector that you’re referring to are on older model Springfree trampolines but is definitely worth mentioning - thanks for the feedback
The BAY guy must have super human strength. I could NOT do this. These things would not pop out. I tried using a WRENCH but you just have to be gentle with it or snap the plastic holders. Fold the mat back a little then wiggle it a bit and then POP, they will pop out eventually. Finally got mine apart!
Thanks for the tip, I've been offered a springfree that's about 12 years old so long as I disassemble it myself to take it. So I'm guessing it probably has these little hidden switches that I now know to look out for.
