    How is this s200 calibrated? Can you help guide our baristas on how to calibrate the synesso s200. Thank you

      Hi, you have to calibrate a machine and grinder to your coffee. Your roaster should assist you with this.

      @@iDrinkCoffeeCanada thanks for the response, actually I was asking for the procedure to register a recipe on the s200, after getting the right taste

    hi. is it possible to change each Group Head to a different flow count? coz i dont trust copy/paste or dialling the first group head and then it will take that recipe to the rest of the group head. thanks

    • @iDrinkCoffeeCanada
      @iDrinkCoffeeCanada  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it is. The groups can have independent volume and temperature settings

      iDrinkCoffeeCanada why do you only reply to one in 10 comments? Pretty terrible customer service.

      Hi, I really don't know, you would have to speak to your local dealer.

    Nice video! Good intro to the S Series. Tiny correction: it's 4.5 volumetric counts per ml, not 5.5.

      Thanks Scott, I was going from memory, I should have looked it up.

      Hi, so to find how many ml the extraction the I will get.
      For example in the video:
      Single shot there is 280 flow count, then divide into 4.5 the answer will be 62.2ml
      Am I correct? If not kindly correct me.
      Thanks

      @@kennethonate3408 Since you don't know how much the puck will absorb baseline You should use the count adjustment to bring your final volume up or down, but you will need to run a shot with your grind and tamp to get a baseline and adjust from there (add ~4.5 counts per additional ml of output liquid desired). If you adjust the grind, tamp, or shot volume (i.e. double vs single), you should run another 'baseline' shot and make any volume adjustments required.

    Hi,
    great video, thanks a lot to the idrinkcoffee team for that valuable information!
    I have some questions:
    - is hands free frothing possible, is the driptray ok sized for this?
    - how precise can I set the water spout temperature - would u recommend using it for tea (I appreciate Scott Rao has an aversion against using waterspout water for tea in general...)?
    Thank you!

      Marc Rueckziegel hey! Scott has got aversion because water chemistry gets weird in steam boiler. It’s kept too hot for too long and you evaporate good bit of that water when steaming 😉 that’s why you dont want to use that for tea (or americanos). Try to compare americano made with water from clean grouphead (leave it cool a little!) and hot water tap, taste it blind and you’ll see

    Can the Synesso 200 profile espresso shots like the Rocket N91?

    • @iDrinkCoffeeCanada
      @iDrinkCoffeeCanada  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No it cannot. It does have preinfusion but it does not have pressure profiling like you would find on the R9 One

    The fit and finish doesn't hold a candle to the Italian brands or KvdW, Slayer.

    • @iDrinkCoffeeCanada
      @iDrinkCoffeeCanada  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wholeheartedly disagree. We are authorized distributors of Slayer, La Marzocco, Simonelli etc and I have also personally owned a Speedster and Synesso's finish is right up there and their reliability is industry leading.

      @@iDrinkCoffeeCanada while the MVP looks ok the S Series looks like it was built in a garage by an "enthusiast". There's quite a difference between purposeful industrial design and straight up laziness. I've also seen most of the machines in person.

      @@devlin2427 I now understand what you mean, you don't like the look of the machine. I've heard that from some people but I also have others who love the look. The same can be said for many designs though, for example the new LM KB90, this machine has very polarized opinions about it's appearance. Personally I am a fan of the S200, I believe that form follows function and this machine functions very well.

      Devlin M. I’d also say it looks ugly compared to hydra/cyncra, but i guess its because of its price point. If you want great AND pretty machine, you have to pay more..
