    I am super passionate about coffee and educating people on all aspects of this amazing drink. I love bringing the stories back from the other side of the world about how they grow and process the coffee differently in each farm, in each region, in each country. I also love helping baristas around the world make better coffee for themselves, whether they're at home, professional, competitors and or even just venturing out into the wide world of coffee.
    About Ryd!
    In a world where coffee has become elitist and over-the-top hipster, Ryd is on a mission to make specialty coffee inviting and undiscriminating; creating a community of coffee lovers who want to share their thoughts, ask questions and appreciate that we are all on a journey uncovering the delights of home-brewed coffee.

    I’m hoping to see side by side comparison with other 3 Groups Machine even in this range of price points.
    Thanks much for explaining it
    Waiting to see more videos in a future ✌️

      Yes absolutely! I'm tee-ing up with some manufacturers to get in and compare machines. 👌

    Mate I’m really hoping you can get your hands on the new ES-1. That’s my dream machine because it has a tank. (Automatic higher Wife Acceptance Factor)

      Yes I'd love to test one out. They are still only able to be sold in the US because they haven't got safety ratings for the other countries yet but as soon as I can get one in Australia I'll be going heavy on it. I am still waiting to see what upgrades they have in store for the Hydra MVP so fingers crossed I can get my hands on both!

      Thanks for your additional comments, I might have cut the but where I talked about using M mode to set the profile and then use VP.
      As for the MP how many times do you actually use it? I just found I never used it, it was quicker for me to dial in all in M mode rather than MP.
      Let me know if you keep discovering anything else helpful too 🙌👌

    Got one at home.
    What pressure are you using and for how long ?
    What temperature do you use ?
    Have you tried to play with these pressure and temperature and found your sweet spot ?

    • @Rydecoffeecoach
      @Rydecoffeecoach  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes my sweet spot is: pre i have ~3bars, then ramp up is ~5 and then full is just above 9. for our coffee we use 94C temp and thats for medium-light roasts.
      however, on my Decent I have a completely different profile for my signature blend (Il Caramello) and its similar to the Synesso but more refined.

    I’ve noticed that with pressure profiling machines (or any sort of profiling, including flow) that the pressure/flow adjustments are always stepped/indexed. Are the machines designed with stepped adjustments in order to achieve easier repeatability with shots or is the lack of stepless adjustment a technical limitation? What if you’re someone who wants the freedom of profiling with the freedom of a manual lever machine and rely on muscle memory to manually profile for the entire shot?

    • @Rydecoffeecoach
      @Rydecoffeecoach  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Synesso was one of the first, if not, the first to do pressure profiling and probably due to the infancy they went with stepped. But these days there are lots of machines that do a stepless profiling system: Decent (although you need to preprogram it but you can set all sorts of curves and waves etc) San Remo YOU, LM GS3, Mara X and Bianca and more.
      So you can have a look around and find the right system.

      @@Rydecoffeecoach very helpful information. Thank you. Any idea if the MVP Hydra is due for a re-design or refresh soon, such as stepless profiling or the integration of that external pump into the machine?

    It's a very nice-looking machine, and the profiling is needed at this price. The implementation has a long way to go. I recently purchased a Decent machine, and it's obvious the Synesso is very rudimentary.

    • @Rydecoffeecoach
      @Rydecoffeecoach  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, agreed. I also have a Decent at home and a combination of Synesso and that would be ideal.

    • @RB-xv4si
      @RB-xv4si 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What’s wrong with the implementation? Are you throwing shade at any machine that doesn’t come with an iPad attached to it?
