Marissa, hello! I tried to make a separate video about the french wire, where I tell everything I know. But I really don't like the result. I don't like my face in the frame, I can't make normal lighting and sound. I want to explain to you that I have not ignored your comment all this time, I have spent a lot of energy on this video. To answer your question briefly:
the french wire is hard (used for contours, processing the edges of the product, it is sewn from above. In this video, such a french wire is used)
and soft (used for decoration, it is sewn like beads, a needle is threaded inside the tube. th-cam.com/video/2xFkhsDtl5Q/w-d-xo.html - for example in this video, a soft wire around pearls and crystal)
But I do not know how to correctly call this "soft rigmarole" and "hard rigmarole" in English, sorry
