- I love to watch other craftsmen's handmade processes. I know I'm not the only one. So I made a time lapse embroidery video of myself working on one of my recent brooches, a maroon Paisley. Fashion for Paisley jewelry does not go away, does it?
In this brooch I used two types of french wire, rhinestone chain, seed beads, crystal pearl and sequins
Probably because of my little experience, I spent a lot of time editing videos! Much more time than the embroidery itself. But I really like the result and hope you will appreciate my embroidery and camerawork 😉 For information, the original video lasted about 4 hours before editing. So I will be grateful to your 👍

What size thread did you use? It looks very fine, so I think that's where I went wrong. When I use trying to use french wire for the first time, when I out the thread between the wire loops, it seemed to sort of "bend" my wire and it looked obvious where my thread path was. :(
Hi! I use nylon threads - the online translator calls it "fishing lane", but it's specifically for sewing. It is thin, moderately elastic and at the same time durable. It fits easily between the loops of the wire. I use the simplest threads:

I think you can find quite thin nylon threads on etsy. Enjoy your creativity 😉
What kind of fabric do you use?
Can you use any fabric for a base?
I take any unnecessary fabric and sew felt of the right color on it for rigidity. You can fill the hoop with a whole sheet of felt, it's just uneconomical. I have green fabric here - old ikea bed sheet))) my eyes are tired of this color, it's better to take a calmer color
