As an "explorer" (I like to go out and explore lots of the woods and nature) a fence is literally the best thing you can do to keep curious folks like us off. I would never knowingly go on private property, but signs can be few and far between, but if I see a fence, even a simple wood one, I know that that's someone's property and I need to stay away. One of my biggest fears is missing a sign while looking at a bird or flower then getting shot for trespassing.
AMEN put God FIRST... I had 2 Massive pits, I live alone in the woods but between My Savior and my dogs ONLY God Himself can help you if you come here😉😉 of course a few boom sticks as well. Everyone stay safe and God Bless you and your family from middle GA 🙏 Kendra
One of the enhancements we have in the layer of dogs is two dogs. One little dog that barks at all things out of the norm and a 90-pound giant schnauzer that will test your track skills as you attempt to exit the property with you rear end attached. No one has been able to out pace him yet…lol. The other thing for the dog layer is training…training…training. Our big boy is trained and tested stable under gunfire. He doesn’t flinch when you fire a weapon.
Good information. I was a private armed alarm response officer. When working the suburbs there was to many people leaving there garage door open for hours even at night. The entry door to the side garage and the one leading inside the house is of poor quality and need to be replaced for a steel one. In the ranch areas people post signs as a warning and they make not excuses on being armed. Unfortunately fences are in disrepair and most don't use cameras.
God our Creator and Ruler of the universe a great protection? You bet. And yes, He also wants us to be wise and take care what He’s entrusted into our care. Thank for this.
Those cameras are great for you at that "price" but certainly not for us. Different types of trail cams are a great option and one of the best is the Walmart Tasco cam for just $29.00! Time and performance tested against high $ cameras they are THE best buy. God Bless.
We just got some Reolink cameras but having difficulty setting up push notifications with our Yahoo email. It keeps saying error. Did you have to do anything extra?
Thanks for this, especially your acknowledged priorities. On the cams, and their alarm feature, can that be disabled if not wanted? And if enabled, is there any feature to prevent it alarming if you, the owner, would be the one to trigger it? How about family members? Some such cams offer that feature. Couldn't find mention it the Amazon page. Thanks.
You're welcome. The alarm feature can be switched off by using the app. Not sure how it would recognize a specific person or family member though. It does not have that ability.
@@CountryLivingExperience Thanks for the clarification (and I'll assume that's an option that could leave the alarm off permanently, such as if one had it mounted somewhere outside their home, to be notified of visitors without wanting to give them an alarm.) As for how other cams can be set to not alarm (or indeed trigger motion activation), they can do it various ways, such as the system detecting that their mobile phone (registered with the system) is detected as being on the same wifi network as the device (for the wifi one).
Can you view both cams when you choose. Even if you didn’t get a notification… can you be on a beach in mexico and decide that you want to view the cams… can you? Or do you have to wait for motion to trigger them??
I love the fact that after all you shared that WE CAN DO to make our property more safe, that you turned the rest over to God, our Heavenly Father who loves us all and will protect us AFTER we have done 'our part'.
Great video Brother!! Yes, security is so important! I’m diggin the camera!! I like it . You know my fav is that guard dog.. you’ll see mine in Instagram.. she is my Princess. Again, great job!!
I had a big shock this morning: One of my black Big Berkey filters came off its plastic end cap and I am dismayed to see a ring of translucent caulking-type of glue was holding it in place! Does this make our filtered water toxic?!? Thought you and your viewers should be alerted so that you can check this out for yourselves!
Neighbors. We have a new couple next door who are trying to lay the ground work for an adverse possession claim against us for a portion of our property. We've uncovered a couple buried plastic drain pipes that run from their house 200 feet away and daylight on our land and we've observed them weed whacking our woods and walking the perimeter like it's theirs. They even unleash their German Shepherd whenever I go on that side of my land which is unfortunately for me, landlocked by a stream that runs inside my property line. I cant just fence it all but I have fenced two thirds of the boundary The rest has a power line buried and a stormwater easement with the county which they dont like fences on. And my house WiFi wont reach over there so placing trail cams is all I can do but they usually fill up the SD card pretty quick with leaves blowing and birds chirping. Would love some recommendations to shore up security of this property line.
Sorry you are having this issue. Neighbors should be good. I think some trail cams allow for looping video or streaming to your phone. My brother has some that last at least a week and record to his phone.
Just an FYI out there for anyone considering a reolink security camera system. Turn off your automatic updates especially if you are satisfied with your setup. Reolink automatically updated my system which rendered it useless to me for months. All for the flip phone customers which I am not. I would find another more reliable carrier other than reolink. Just my 2 cents from experience. Currently own 5 cameras from them and a dvr.
I just think you should have mentioned plastic film that you can place on the inside of windows to strengthen them. Even if they manage to eventually break through, it’s going to take them some time to do so.
How far does the camera detect motion and is it visible to any unwanted guests? We want to get one of these but it look's very visible or is that good in your opinion?
It detects out to about 50ft but you can set the sensitivity to be less. The Go model which is the 4g enabled one has a camo sleeve that comes with it. In my opinion, you really have to be looking for them to see them. Most won't notice them at all and if they do, that also works as a deterrent factor.
@@CountryLivingExperience also if they see the camera it mean you are notified as well. So even if someone can grab the camera doesn't take away the fact that it already notified you and at that point all they should hear is click click with a greenlight on them if they are in your house already. Great content, thanks for the useful information. Be blessed and be safe. 🙏
Reolink gave you a script, didn't they... Now I'm willing to let that slide if you post another video with your own thoughts about homestead security. hopefully we can all learn more from you and your experience that way.
@@CountryLivingExperience I have a reolink go on my boat which scared off a thief two days ago trying to get inside it, the footage led to me catching one of them an hour later so definitely worth having
I have a neighbor from hell, he is Paranoid to say the least. He went as far as to slash my tires on my wagon, he laid smoldered wood pieces around my sheds, he also poisoned three of my 4 dogs that NEVER WENT OUT OF THEIR FENCED AREA, he tore down my "no trespassing signs" so he could come on my property and steal my trees, and I am NOT ALLOWED TO do anything according to our Police department, unless I have him caught on a video, to prove that he keeps damaging my property. He ment to KILL MY rooster, but got my dogs instead. I lost 9 hens in one week mysteriously before my dogs died. I thought about hanging up Wildlife cameras on my trees, but if he finds them he will probably steal them too. I own 14 acres of woodland all around him and he got mad at my Mennonite neighbors, because they installed my driveway and my waterline to the back of my property where I live. IT IS MY PROPERTY AND I CAN PUT MY DRIVEWAY ANY PLACE I PLEASE. Now he through brittle chunks of wood onto my property so the noise can alert him when I walk up my driveway. He even went as far as Knocking down my mailbox so I got me a PO box adress. About two weeks ago he shot off his 22 gun in my direction, after my other farm neighbor used his hydrolic fence stretcher (which sounded like a AK 57 gun...only lightweight), and the rest of that day he muttered really loud, so I knew he was drunk. If I install a fence by the front road, he will cut it, and destroy it. So u been thinking of putting a used shed by the front road, and posting "cameras in use", in hopes to discourage him from damaging my property even more...I can't see over the Hill to the front of the road, and that is where a lot of the damage accurs, like stealing my trees, leaving burnt pieces of wood laying around for me to find... And he keeps spraying Poison for weeds on my property as well...
You need cameras and police. If your local department won’t do anything, call the sheriff’s office. I will pray for your safety. Pray this will be resolved quickly.

I actually don't like push notifications so I did not enable them. sorry.
Thorny bushes! If they have edible berries on them, all the better. Also, gravel on your walkways is noisy. Concrete not so much. Good video! Thanks!

That's correct. As far as the personalized alarm function, some of their other models may have that feature but not the two that I own.

Yes, you can view them at and time from anywhere. You don’t need motion to trigger in order to view.
