    yea huge assist T. i got the squeal on my 95 tracker! mostly when i turn the A/C on! replacing both though! I'm gonna remove the belts and take them to Oriellys with!
    YOU, SIR ARE A GEO TRACKERS BEST FRIEND! CANNOT EXPRESS HOW MUCH I APPRECIATE YOUR VIDS AND PARTS YOU SELL! iVE BEEN A WRANGLER GUY FOR 30+ YEARS AND STILL AM BUT MY TRACKER( GIFT FROM MY SON) IS MY NEWEST PRIDE AND JOY! iT'S IN AMAZING CONDITION AND WITH YOUR HELP IT'S GONNA STAY THAT WAY!!!
    however I'm a PBR guy! sorry T BUT MY ALTERNATOR WILL NOT BUDGE ROD OR NO ROD GRRRR! REMOVED ENTIRE BRACKET EXCEPT BOLT UP AGAINST OIL DIPSTICK HOUSING
    ( NO CLUE IF THAT COULD EVER COME OUT) SO I GUESS ILL GO BELOW AND TRY TO FREE UP HINGE JOINT (PB BLASTIFICATION...)GRRRR! THEN LIKELY PUSH UP ON ALTERNATOR WITH A SMALL FLOOR JACK AND PROPER LENGTH 2X4 You make it look awful easy T THINKING (WITH PBR BRAIN) I SHOULD JUST REPLACE ALTERNATOR NOW! HMMMM...

    My idler pulley did a thing I've never seen one do, and it exploded internally 😭 I'm so done with today 😭 the belt snapped when it exploded 😭

    So I just bought a 1989 Sidekick first one, had it for a week. I'm driving home the other day and all of a sudden the battery light came on and engine temp started climbing. I pull over and look and one belt is nowhere to be found. I replaced both belts using this video,since the other belt was cracked and looked old. Now it is squealing so bad. Since it wasn't before I lost the belt is it maybe an adjustment bolt thing and not any of the pulleys? If so where do you know where the right adjustment is? Thanks for any help.

      @Hwy83SUZUKI  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @NTashaHunt clean the pulleys and tighten belt. Sometimes need multiple attempts of tightening to eliminate squeel

    Hey so mine are squealing brand new from the mechanic. Do they have to break in? They seem not too tight or loose. Thanks

    • @Hwy83SUZUKI
      @Hwy83SUZUKI  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Tighten them again. These belts can be a pain to stop squealing. They usually stretch after driving a week or so and need to be adjusted again

    • @Otherverse1
      @Otherverse1 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Hwy83SUZUKI I actually did tighten them today or at least the one because the other seemed tight enough. Now they don't squeal when starting the car or at idle but they start squeaking and squealing again after I drive over 30 mph and then they don't stop until I shut the car off.

  • @JohnStacy1

    Hey Tony, do you know the part number for the belts right off? I went to autoZone too and I put the belts on and they are both too tight! I misplaced the old belts so I dunno what they were. I have the same exact 16v setup as this one
