Love these tips. Very helpful. Do you have tutorials on what your guitar tone settings should when leading? Like basic settings for pedals delay, reverb, Distortions...easy quick access while playing and singing.

Thank you and subbed. I’m a worship leader who uses electric guitar as well.

Liked and subscribed. I’m primarily a bass player for my team but have had to switch to acoustic more. I LOVE rhythm guitar and the percussive quality of acoustic but find myself wanting to play it like an electric guitar with more subtlety and without losing presence. Your videos on this topic have made me confident in the occasional switch to electric guitar for accompaniment as well as giving our newer electric players a great resource for rhythm playing in general. Thanks so much!

Also, curious to know what kind of Tele you’re playing. Thanks!

Many thanks, this will add some spice into my guitar playing... I haven't been going to church for a month due to the pandemic. I am going back to prayers tomorrow evening and then perhaps our worship will be back again practicing. I am really going to add some of your tips into my playing. Thanks again.

Matt, FINALLY got the time to view the complete vid. Great stuff, loved the comment about the open E songs......remember playing that way all the time for a while. Would love to see some examples of what you play with some specific songs, sort of a real world scenario....Would love to see some vids on the equipment you use also. Thanks for the tutorials, they are a blessing. You're a gifted teacher, continue to elevate him he uses you to help others!!!

Haven't watched the whole thing yet but cool video! One thing you said around the 10 min mark that there isn't a real easy way to hit the 2 chord from that position. The minor. You went to the barr chord but it isn't too difficult to wrap the thumb around the top E string, mute the A string, and Barr the rest of the strings with the pointer finger and you can hit all the strings or the just the top end and let the band hit the low Root. Make sense? You probably know that already but in case you forgot about that voicing, it's a nice one too.

Ah yea I didn’t think about that!! Good call!

Around 18:30 talking about the ii chord, an alternative might be the relative major (IV chord) although I think your minor shape isn't hard to reach from the rest.
If you play IV while the band plays ii, everyone hears ii7 (Dm7 if in C).

Skip to 13:30 for C formations for keys not in the G to C range
