You are AMAZING!!! Thank you so much for making this WONDERFUL video! The chord diagrams on top of seeing you play the chord is super helpful! And the way you explain things is perfect! I can't wait to learn it and sing it with my students for our first sing-along of the year! Keep making tutorials, you did a fantastic job! :)
This video was awesome! You’re very good at teaching and I learned really fast! The way you pointed out the repeating hand positions made it seem so much less intimidating! Thank you thank you!
Omg I have always loved your version of the song And tried learning it from watching your vid but I lacked the practice and knowledge to get it all down. Thank you so much for taking the time to teach us.
Я конечно английский не понимаю,но в туториале все так показано подробно,что даже без знания английского языка можно выучить эту песню! Благодарю вас!!!
Thank you so much for this video. I absolutely love tangled and I've been trying so hard to learn this song on piano but the chords just don't translate so now I'm learning guitar for the first time using your video.
This is beautiful, I love playing your chord patterns! Did you ever do the ending of the song? I was trying to figure out chords that would work for the soft part at the ending but couldn't figure out how to work it.

Do you have the tutorial of the last part of when will my life begin? the lyrics starts with "tomorrow night, the lights will appear" pls make more of this guitar videos, this has helped me a lot! thank you!
Sorry, not quite sure what you’re asking for-I’m sure there are other videos that can help if it’s about playing chords in general, or it may just take practice. I’m not a professional and this is about as in depth as I’ll probably ever be able to get on a tutorial!
Hi! I came to your tutorial because I was looking to play this piece. I'm having a bit of trouble playing some of the chords. I'm sure that I have pressed all the correct frets in the correct position, but when I strum it makes strange sounds. Do you have any advice on how to fix this?
Just letting you know I finally tried to break down/explain the strumming pattern and added that to the video description, in case you're still trying to figure it out!
I talk about that at the end of the video-I'm not a professional and don't know how to explain it other than to say rewatch the video slowed down and practice!

I know it's been 2 years since u posted but at the strumming pattern...I don't get it:))If you could just write it here in comments like :down , up , down , up , up , up , down , or whatever it goes,PLEASE!!
It's just up and down over and over, but with pauses...I have only ever learned strumming patterns by feel (and trial and error!), but let me try...this is broken down by D (down) or U (up) along with the count each strum lands on (counting sixteenth notes, i.e. "one-e-and-ah"). If this doesn't work, I'm out of ideas! (D)one-e-and-(U)ah (D)two-(U)e-(D)and-ah three-(U)e-(D)and-(U)ah (D)four-(U)e-(D)and-(U)ah
@@sarahhowellmusic I'll try to figure it out, this makes it easier anyway cause i really didn"t understand what your fingers were doing in the video, haha.Thank you for taking some of your time to explain it to me,I really appreciate it!!!!!
I talk a little bit about this at the end-I don't quite know how to explain it except to say watch the video back on a slower speed and see if you can work it out!

Thanks! This question makes me realize I got my first guitar almost 20 years ago-so now I feel old, thanks. :) I've been at about the same level of proficiency for the last 15 of those though!
As a complete noob to guitar I understand chords somewhat, but the strumming confuses me when she actually plays it out, as she is only strumming downwards when going step-by step. Is she hitting the strings going down and then going up as well? Does she go through all of them or omit certain ones on certain chords?
Hey! I'm hitting the strings both on the down strum and then the up strum, I'm just pausing at certain points, and sometimes I'm probably muting or shortening the motion-but that's all stuff that comes as you get better/is stylistically individual to different guitar players. I recommend playing it back at a slower speed to see if that helps. I do not know any technical terms on how to explain rhythm on guitar, unfortunately-I learned by watching and listening and trying to imitate, not sure if that's the best way but it eventually worked for me. :)
@@sarahhowellmusic Thanks for the response! I listened to both versions on your channel and what a great job, think I prefer it than in the actual movie.

I talk about that a little at the end-you can slow the video down, or I’ve seen tutorials with sheet music that gives the exact rhythmic breakdown.
