I'm authoratative. My parents were too. They did what youre saying, and i did with my sons, too. It definitely worked.

Also she isn't can permissive parent because you can't be a permissive parent while also needing to drag your kid out. Also that's not authoritarian your kid shouldn't have a phone or iPad before the age of 16. If you do your ruining your kids life.

These problems are so easy to solve. You simply tell the child if he doesn’t be quiet, you’re gonna take him to the bathroom and give him a spanking and then follow through if you’re consistent with this one or two times you almost never have to spank a child just telling them if they don’t behave they’re gonna be spanked is enough. The problem is his parents have no power no control. It’s incredible. The most important thing with raising kids is being consistent and punishment being immediate because their time horizon is so short.

Millennial here. A lot of people my age won't discipline, but if I had kids? Unfortunately I think I'd have hands, cus kids being snots in public is one thing I don't tolerate, and I will put the fear of God into them for it.

When my kids acted up in public, I just walked away. Of course I'd watch them like a spy from a distance, so they didn't come to harm. And when they had fits at home, just ignore them. Just let them know tantrums don't work. Sometimes I'd laugh and say, "If you feel sad, go to your room and have a nap. Come out when you feel better. We have ice cream for dessert."
    Works every time. ;)

And I was a leash kid. If my mother set me free I'd run in some random direction and hide in the clothes racks. :D

@@MajorMalfunction Why was that such a comforting place I wonder? Maybe we were overstimulated by the store? I loved hiding in the clothes, it was like as soon as I seen a clothes rack I needed to climb inside lol.

@@NiaLaLa_V Probably the same instinct that makes fledgling birds hide in shrubs after they've left the nest.

Nope, the kid is a brat. You need to establish boundaries with this monster. Their actions will incur repercussions. Their choice to be well behaved or behave poorly and loose out.
