    Hi Ben. Cheers for this mate. I'm only a hobbyist & am considering getting the lumberjack kit & adding to it as time goes on. This was perfect info for me. Could you do a quick review /video of multitools as to be honest I'm not really sure what they're for. Thanks again

      Hey Jim, I’m pleased you found this useful. A drill & driver is usually the starting tool people buy so thought it was the best place to start. I’ll look at getting a review on the multi-tool sorted soon mate. Appreciate the comment and feedback.

    Love it Ben, its like watching Neil Buchanan on Art Attack.
    This is a LUMBERJACK no this is LUMBERJACK lol
    Love it
    My LJ impact doesn't make that noise, but then again its warn in and has been abused

      Interesting. Maybe it’s just my impact then. I’ve used it quite a bit but not as long as you’ve used yours over the years so maybe it’ll settle in but it’s had zero issues and doesn’t impact the use whatsoever.

    Knowing the owners of the lumberjack range I did some testing of these tools in there prototype phase and thrashed them they held up very well even against my every day tools as a tradesman the owners are good guys too

      Yeah I’ve got no complaints. They are good tools, especially for their price. I think what sets them apart from other brands is that they price fairly and have amazing customer service with real humans at the end of the phone/email. Such a nice bunch of people to deal with.

      What other batteries are compatible with

    • @lionandbear
      @lionandbear  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @agnosticevolutionist3567 as far as I’m aware it’s a singular platform but will check with Lumberjack for you. The good news is that the batteries are a much more reasonable price than Dewalt etc so the need for the cheaper compatible batteries is lower.

    • @lionandbear
      @lionandbear  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just checked and they aren’t compatible with any other batteries but as I mentioned. The price point is much more reasonable compared to other brands.

    Did you happen to find out if the sound your impact driver was making, was normal for the lumberjack brand? Or was it maybe a damaged drill?

    • @lionandbear
      @lionandbear  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I know other people who have it and they say it doesn’t make that sound so it might just be mine. I’ve used it loads and not had a problem with it to be fair so I have no idea what it is 🤷‍♂️

      @@lionandbear I mean, if it works....! Thanks for the feedback. Love the tool reviews and no one else is reviewing Lumberjack - so extra kudos. Good luck with the channel. I'll be watching 👍🏿

    Do they use brushless motors? It doesn't say on the tools or the rest of the range and that would account for them being longer.

    • @lionandbear
      @lionandbear  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No I asked the guys at Lumberjack that question and they told me they’re brushed which definitely accounts for the size difference (and price). I thought it was interesting to compare against higher end tools that cost a lot more though and they stood up to it well to be fair.

    • @tonydaddario4706

      @@lionandbear Well they don't cost that much more, @ £180 for the twin pack it's a bit too near in price to Dewalt & Milwaukee equivalent especially when they're on offer. That drill set are gateway items so if I was boss I'd drop the price on those so irresistable to DIY'er or budget buyer who is then nudged onto the platform.

    • @lionandbear
      @lionandbear  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @tonydaddario4706 yeah I’d probably agree as you can definitely find bargains on other brands occasionally. That Dewalt drill I’ve got was a bargain from B&Q on sale. I guess it depends on how you look at the entire range on the battery platform as the other lumberjack products are a lot cheaper price in general. I really like the nail gun, circular saw and jig saw. Most brands are pretty decent nowadays though to be fair.

    Does anyone know if the batteries fit ozito tools too or einhell??

    • @lionandbear
      @lionandbear  หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve got no idea to be fair. Usually the tool batteries aren’t interchangeable but you never know. I don’t know anyone with either of those two brands to try it.

    You do realise after tightening the chuck on the drill, you turn it back one small clock to lock it in

    • @lionandbear
      @lionandbear  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve never heard of that. Is that genuinely a thing? I’ve never done that with any drill before. I’ll give it a try. Every day is a school day!
