Probably most of the track was smoother than the corner where the cameraman was. Better to have the tightest suspension possible even if you have to sacrifice speed on a couple curves
no its actually not drift requires a fast entry speed but what you meaning is drift in every corner which is false for drift can be done there is needed a hairpin like road and for clearing a road in a fast manner you need to drift thats what is drifting but yeah in your meaning drift is slow because people trying to do it in smooth and slow corners
Polo33 rally cars and drivers don't drift because it's faster, they drift because it's the quickest way to get the car pointing in a straight line. As wrc cars can pretty much out accelerate anything they use this to their advantage by drifting through a corner it means they can accelerate in a straight line quicker. However if you watch a tarmac stage they actually don't drift that often. But really, who cares? We all know they do it because it looks cool as fuck.
