I appreciate that you includes the reassembly now. Cheers
I appreciate when they includes it's too
At first I thought this was going to be super challenging, this looks really simple, at least to me. The hardest is here, is probably trying not to lose a screw.
Opening the phone and changing the battery was the easy part, but removing all the glue residue... that was pain in the buttocks
@@XtrAMassivE Bro just appreciate the fact that it doesn't have any software pairing like another brand
Use a piece of cardboard write where the screws are then put them in it
Just wanted to share.
My S10 plus display was cracked. I sent it to official Samsung service center. They didnt separated the display from the steel frame(housing) like 2:15 they replaced the whole body of phone including the steel housing and all the accessories attached to it except the camara, battery and motherboard etc. Even the vibration motor and copper cooling plate is replaced .as the whole housing contains. Because as the display is permanently attached and the phone is IP68 water resistant. And removing it from frame and reattaching can cause the water leak inside. Thumbs up Samsung for service .
Though they charged nearly 200 dollers. 🙊
May I ask where you got this done? I would gladly pay around $150-$200 for a legit replacement
where did you do this?? I need pricing like that....
only 200???? where?
Official samsung service centre (Brand authorised Repair Shop)
It's a very good guide, but you can't really just breeze over aspects like 'with new adhesive applied' ...I don't work on cell phones for a living, I don't know what that means.
easy as always, if you repaired over 10k phones
This honestly looks extremely easy, try taking apart an iPad literal fuck loads of disassembly just for the battery
It’s easy. I do mine all the time it’s not bad at all
It is really easy....IF you have the right tools
It's really not that hard. Be biggest Problems are the adhesive, not to lose any screws or break the back glass. Just be careful and its as easy as they show it. But it will take you more than 3 Minutes.
I've taken apart my S6 Edge Plus twice. It's quite easy. This seems a bit more complex, yet still reasonable if you're careful.
What do you use for new adhesive on the back panel?
Super glue
My screen works perfectly now! Thank you for the tools and replacement screen. This is not a hard job to do at all! I didn't want to transfer all of my information to another phone.
When you replace the screen is all the data still on the phone?
@@gispechy Yes
What glue did you use?
My replacement screen came attached to whole new housing so I had to do it a little differently. Thank you for the tutorial. very helpful!
Hi there, sorry to bother you, would you mind telling me where you purchased your display screen from n is it a OEM part and how much? TXS U
You guys need to revise your pricing for this phone's LCD kit. It's $510 in Australia, and a second hand mint condition S10+ 128GB can be had for $400 or less. My mother broke her phone and i had no choice but to send it to ewaste as the repair cost was more than the device itself.
2 dollars on aliexpress
Glad to see someone's still using screwdriver and not some fancy power tool to open screws.
wow! you make it looks almost routine!!!
1:37 I'd also recommend anyone to cover those cameras with some masking tape gently so dust wont get inside. obviously dont apply it to aggressively or the tape will touch the lens
Was excited to find this, but man you are selling the screen and adhesive for $350 when the "local" repair shop charges $262 to replace it, parts and labor.
how about a link for the screen
u ever find that link?? I just broke my screen
@@noodleboy2492 I did find a few, but their all around 480$ plus. I have insurance for as long as the screen lit up they would do it for 50$ and under.
@@badlynice4692 what kind of insurance do you have? For some reason Verizon won't let me have any insurance to get a new phone.
Use Aliexpress to get a replacement. The how I got mine and a panel for my computer monitor. Fixed them both and they work great.
@@andrewtanner2707 link for display ? Also for the glue ?
Thank you so much My S10 screen was broken and the display almost fell of (NO JOKE) and This repair Video really helped me
Thank you iFixit😀😀
where did you get the screen and how much does it cost?
@@MuhammadAdil-oi8om I dont know the price of the display but i do know ill be around 100 or 200 dollars
Was it hard?
@@Haylem That's what she said
U fixed it?
What type of adhesive was used?
Is there a place to get the replacement display and tool kit used in this video?
Yup time for a new phone :0
I only have one question, where do I get the adhesive from?
Just shattered my screen today at work. I was so mad. It fell to the street and cracked. There goes 300 dollars. Luckily it doesnt look too hard to replace. Thank for the video.
Curious to see how your experience goes
any updates? If so what adhesive did you use, and did you see any side effects after repair?
I miss when the days when all had to do was pop the front off and replace the glass. Now if you have a small crack on the screen and you want it gone you have to replace the entire front side of the phone! 😡
Fell sleep atop my s10+ woke up to a small ping-pong ball sized crack right in the middle of the screen I didn't even cry just sighed and rode to the repair store 317$ later with a new case hoping I don't crush it again but I like to sleep sometimes while I'm watching youtube the screens not durable at all
YEAH!! They could have mentioned that at the beginning and saved a lot of people a lot of time!
So the back has to come off too? How warm does the heating pad have to be to loosen the front and back covers?
Why not cut the display cable? I mean it's broken anyways, no?
Where can I buy the replacement screen?
That's cool I fumbled a couple times with the adhesive tapes and trying to find out what one goes where so many included so yeah a little more time to show that would been nice but really it's fairly easy hahah
I was wondering if you still retain water resistance after the screen repair? If you re apply the adhesive
No, it doesn't unfortunately
How many minutes do we heat it up.
Sir where could i order the samsung s10+ screen display
Literally anywhere on the internet.......
Super nice video, it seems to be quite a tough repair though
Really? Looks super simple.
How do you apply the new tape arrow the screw and where can I bye this ?
If you dont mind me asking could you share a link to where you got the replacement screen at?
oh yes
This is my first time repairing this phone. On my phone just the screen and digitizer is damaged, Should I buy the part with the frame included or just screen with digitizer?
Would it be waterproof still?
If you used original S10+ screen and back plate with the factory adhesive it comes with?
No
That was such a perfect video I very much appreciate that you should have seen the last one I watched thank you
I haven't broken my S10+ yet! I hope to never break it, even if I broke 2 Galaxy S7's.
did you break it yet?
I broke my s7 edge twice already, first just the display, then just the glass layer. Then I smashed my s10+ cuz I raged over gta san andreas :'(
@@kurbonmirzoaliev9600 Oh, how badly my comment has aged. I did in fact crack the back.
@@maxwellj7299 but at least it's the back. Lucky guy

Can i transplant a working screen from one phone to another? Noticed how they mentioned only try to remove screen if already broken.
I can't get the first step done. The suction cup won't move the back cover even a bit no matter how hard I try.
Can I also heat up the back with a hair dryer?
Question where to get isopropyl Alcohol and what would a hair dryer do the job to soften the adhesive?
Best video short and sweet to the point.thank you so very much .
Does this maintain the fingerprint sensor functionality?
Yes, this is not an iPhone
@@XxmatixX6videosdiariosdenadav Very true, thanks.
Ben Amram no. It has a infrared sensor that iFixits kit doesn’t have
@@XxmatixX6videosdiariosdenadav Unsuccessful attempt at making a joke. This replacement unit doesn't house the fingerprint sensor.
No, this is a Samsung phone
Where do you buy replacement from ome parts for anything you can find can you leave a link on Parts you replace where I can buy them
Ali Express, Ebay, Amazon to name a few
Hello, I have 2 s10 Galaxy phones, one has a broken screen. Can I just replace the motherboards? I wouldn't play with the screen, it's too sensitive. I only need pictures and videos. And that's all on the motherboard? Am I right? Thanks in advance for the answer.
Madam where can i order an oled front screen replacement on samsung S10plus US version? Thx
can't find an original display panel for sale here in the philippines:
Just been quoted £240 to replace my shattered screen. After watching this I think I'll have a go at doing it myself. Just need to get a good screen.
I was quoted $262, I wanted to do it myself but iFixit sells the screens for over $320 and I can't find them for under $290 on ebay.
Where should I buy a replacement screen
Is this something I should try if my screen is cracked and display is not working? Phone is locked too
Can we put galaxy s10 motherboard on galaxy s10+ display
Does anybody know where I can buy the screen that she put on the galaxy S 10
where can i purchase s10+ motherboard?
Can i ask how much screen replacing? Thank you
Front screen adhesive? How does it look?
And what about ip68? I guess it doesnt work if u separate back/front glass?
Where to get the screen and how much does it cost?
Anyone know where I can procure OEM parts?
Can I replace the front glass only? Is it easy ? do you have a tutorial for this ? Thanks
No, you can't.
U can there r videos for it but it is difficult
@@FrozenHaxor yes, you can. There are other videos on it.
@@FrozenHaxor yes you can
Where buy the display
Where did you buy the lcd? Because i need to buy it for my fix
ebay
This video omits a big part of replacing a screen. They don't mention that the "display" really has three layers. 1. Screen protector 2. Glass cover 3. Display. You should first pull off the screen protector, then carefully separate the thin glass cover from the display. I think you will find that most of the time the cracks you're seeing are the glass cover that's cracked and not the expensive display! Check this BEFORE you pay for a display.
you just save me with 270 pounds ... thank you so much for this video .
Hi, Is the g975f screen compatible with the g975u screen. I have a g975u china import with a bad screen, here in europe I can only find the g975f screen but all the selles are saying its not compatible, anybody knows if they compatible?
Where can I oder the s 10 plus lcd
Thanks!
I hope anyone watching this video does not think it’s this easy. They have pre repaired the screen before making the video it is a lot more difficult to separate the glass on back and front.
Every video but one on this model implies way less heat usage than needed. A hotplate seems the way to go.
A good option is to buy the front screen with the metal frame. This way your only trouble will be removing the back glass
Blow dryer not even on hot can hear the glue enough for this phone.. It's actually super simple.. You just gotta go really slow. But if you really want best results just make sure you have everything she has and a heat gun and got light source..I HIGHLY recommend getting a magnetic pad.
Warranty after changing the display??
i dont know how hot i sghould get it and it burns my hand and the back does not still come off, HELP!
its tempting, i just cracked the screen and damaged the display on my s10+ and have been contacting multiple places. samsung was 300 to replace it, local places around me want 375 to replace it.
Then looking at the replacement displays seems to be averaging around 250+ no including the specialized tools required. I found one place that sells the display and the picks and suction cup for 279. But then im thinking.. okay if i attempt this an mess it up than i just wasted nearly 300 dollars. if i have samsung do it i know its not gonna be messed up... i'll pay a little more but atleast its gonna be samsung factory quality.
If i were able to find a replacement shipped with the tools for less than 250 id probably just go for it. but i'll continue to look.
It doesnt look that difficult but then again when its pro's like this they always make it look easy.
The phone only sells for like 300$ rn... I wont spend 250$ on a display..
@@Kayshots yeah i ultimately ended up purchasing a new phone. If the displays ever go down in price though i'll forsure replace it because the phone is still a great phone and works fine. takes nice pictures. its just a matter of the display only showing half the screen makes it impossible to use.
@@CarsnStuff Yeah my s10+ fell on tubes today. Screen protector hasn't a scratch but the screen is cracked. Still works though so no problems
Always pushing out great content. How hard would a glass only repair be for this be?
@GLORYWINGS [POV] Possible, just needs special equipment, time and lots of skill
close to impossible
far to possible
Basically impossible as the OLED screen is glued quite permanently to it with some very strong glue that is basically insoluble in any adhesive remover. Add that to the extremely fragile OLED screen that when looked at wrong can break without the protective glass on it. You need some very very very expensive equipment and unless you want to start a business doing this is just plain stupid. On say an Apple watch cutting the adhesive is possible but on a phone is not feasible.
Check jerryrigs apple watch screen replacement. Its not impossible.
Why is everyone asking where they can get all this when it's literarily in the description. Also.... _the internet_
Short and simple
This is is over $300. What about the kits on ebay for
thats just the glass
Link for the screen?
Why do other youtube videos remove motherboard. But this one doesn’t why is that?
Yeah. Good luck everyone separating it. Ive tried for over an hour
After replacing my screen&frame, my speaker no longer works. I tried a new speaker as well thinking it may be the culprit, but it still does not work. Audio only comes out of the earpiece when playing music or on speakerphone. Headphone jack works fine.
Hello does the new screen has the finger print scanner.
@@toxicace2860 Yes, fingerprint scanner works just fine.
Thx for the info.
How can I tell if the new screen is original?
what adhesive can i use for the rear panel?
Me personally i would use B-7000 glue its very stromg and you can get a 50 ml tube of it for about $10 off ebay
The s8 s9 and s10 all look the same in the INSIDE l like that the back glass is where you start unlike iPhones it be cool to see a clear mod on s10
Mr Gadget but are you gonna care more about a broken back or a broken screen the back can be hidden by a dbrand or a case but a broken screen affects your entire device usage
Recently messed up the display on mine. The screen appears to be cracked beyond repair and some of the screen doesn't work anymore.
Is that a guitar pick
Waterproofing makes these phones very difficult to repair now, and most people never get their phones wet anyway, it’s just overkill

What if you just need to replace the glass screen and not the digitizer?
I tried that, ended up damaging the both screen & digitizer. Spend the few bucks more, less issues.
What’s the price for the screen ?
Awesome video !
If anyone change the Ss10 + screen, does it work well now, or are there errors in it?
How much is the screen

where can we buy the cheapest original display? it's 230$
My display didn't crack/break but the under panel did go black on one corner.
How much does it cost all over???
Will S10 not be service pack screens with frame included? 🧐
Yes
I ordered a new lcd for my sg s10+, it came with the lcd & the frame. I only needed the lcd so i removed it from the frame & I followed these same steps & my new lcd screen is black. The phone turns on & all but the screen is black. Ik i didnt do anything wrong. Nor is the new screen damaged in any kind of way. Can anyone tell me if this has happened to them too?
how much was the screen and where did you buy it from? check the screen ribbon cable connection, it might be loose.
I have to do my s10+
Why wouldn't you just get a display + housing unit?
It is more expensive
Jamie Northcott obvious but some people don’t think
It's a lot more complicated with ribbon cables, screws, and just plain inconvenience.
That's exactly what Apple does for their back glass replacement, replace the entire housing.
It gets real expensive really fast
It's usually like 15-30 dollars more expensive. But in my opinion it's a lot better to do it with a housing because it's harder to break the screen during the repair then. And looks better
