Excellent video took me just over an hour because every component was glued down. I bought the whole frame. So I wouldn't have to pry off both sides. Saved 150$ doing it myself and got original parts

Excellent video. I just used this to replace frame with screen on my broken Samsung S10. Still a very good phone even by today's standards with the newer phones. I'm pretty handy with fixin' stuff, but it helps a lot when I don't have to worry about which screws to remove or what part will come up without breaking (for instance when there's some hidden clip I needed to know about).

@@JeromeBeckett really? I just finished mine did it in about an hour I just ordered a new back glass with pre installed adhesive, luckily the iphone repair kit I have did just the job. Spent about $220 in total but much better than $350 I was quoted.

Same boat, I’m ready to order a used screen now. Keep in mind the “new” replacement won’t have fingerprint capabilities, so it’s best to try to get an OEM screen even if it’s used

Me too I destroyed my phone because I don’t have heating tool. I was only supposed to replace the battery but I cracked the screen because I thought that prying it apart is easy as it looks on the video. I end up replacing the screen too and after that it works fine again. This is not really advisable if you don’t have tools.

Got the same problem too, sent it for repairs and those guys had the audacity to tell me that the screen absorbed a shock on the inside. They asking me to pay for screen replacement when it's still has 2 yrs warranty.
first phone ive broken, my second phone, first hand a beefy case, this on has a slim one. a line of screwy pixels in the center of the screen and a fuster cluck of cracks spreading from the same area. hopefully my parents got it covered, otherwise im stuck with it until it breaks more when i will probably just get a shitier phone again
You'll lose much of the waterproofing if you do it. Most likely to the point where it's pretty much effectively not water proof or risky to assume that it is. It might be "water resistant" not waterproof. So stay clear of water Lol

Replaced my S10plus phone's AMOLED screen, with vertical green lines that appeared recently with a TFT screen with frame. The phone becomes thicker and heavier the screen sensitivity is a little less so typing needs to be a little slower..even after turning up sensitivity a little higher. There is no finger print sensor..thats o.k..the wake up screen with 2 taps does not work so is screen capture by swipe...but the screen switching off by 2 taps does work. While removing the internal speaker from the original frame..it broke (replacement is about US$2..and battery removal was the toughest and it started with some sprks and smoke!..so one needs to work with eye goggles and near outdoor excess... so an OEM replacement battery about US$10. Another problem that took a long time to solve was when replacing the black wireless charger "flaps"...that looks likebcardboards with some leads the problem was when the contacts were not exact with the screws the charge display shows a temperature yellow triangle because of the battery temperature (??)..and the phone will not charge the battery..so after many tries i left out one screw on the wireless charge flap and the charge problem got solved.😢

I was rocking my cracked screen on my S10 for about 9 months, until one day I woke up and the screen wouldn’t turn on. I accidentally realized that the screen sometimes turns on when it’s getting a charge. Which is a hassle, but ok. BUT, the whole bottom of the screen is a bright white! It’s so bright it hurts my eyes, not to mention the whole bottom is useless. Now I HAVE to change it
For me the problem isnt the crack the crack is on the edge and its small doesnt really bother me but my screen doesnt register my touch so i need a screen replacment
And just like that, I'm happy living with my cracked screen.

Um try ali express for cheap or Ebay for expensive or amazon. There should be a screen product number attached somewhere. If not search s10 screen

This design of these new phones is really screwed. Gorilla glass is not all that fantastic.
What about the finger print on the screen and the waterproofing? if you remove the screen will it affect it?
