On earlier models the coils sat in that space at the top of the frame under the front of the tank, to get that nice see through look, we used to do some creative wire rerouting and reposition them down near the key mount.
It makes a difference having all that space under the tanks doesn’t it?! My coil pack was there, but I ended up relocating them a while ago, down near the spark plugs.
Mad channel bro awesome content ! Quixk question What seat do u have? I just bought my sportster 2006 and seat is uncomfortable af Im gonna try some mods
Thanks brother 👍 Just the standard sportster seats at the moment, I have a single and 2 double up seats (all standard) but it’s going to be an investment for sure to make the ride more comfortable. Let me know how you go with them or if you need any help let me know in the comments.
i personlly highly advise against removing the rear belt guards it really doesn't improve the look all that much more remove much wait. if you don't mind the extra maintenance id just wait till its time to replace the belt (wether age or miles) and do a chain conversion. cost just a bit more than replacing the belt and adds a wicked look to the bike.
A chain conversion is on my list of things to do for sure! They look a heap better, but like you mentioned I’ll wait until the belt needs to be replaced.
@thewhiskythrottleclub something to watch out with a chain conversion is if your running 13in shocks or taller you'll need a chain slider otherwise the chain will grind against the passanger peg mount.
I got a first Gen evo sportster 883. Been a fun pain in the ass building up over the years. It's currently a Hammer 1275 with V2 cams and some other fun stuff. I had to do all that just to get it to out run my 96 suzuki intruder vs800.lol I hate the fact you Aussies have to pay a premium for harley stuff just to get it there. I got a few videos of mine on here as well to check out for some ideas.
How long did it take you to get it to where it’s at now? It makes it harder to mod bikes, especially when the shipping for parts from the states is the same price if not more than the actual parts themselves.
@@thewhiskythrottleclub I've had that one for about 8 years. It's spent most it's life as an 883. I had a 1250 kit on it for a couple years and the 1275 be a year on Christmas. Part of me wishes I kept it an 883 for safety reasons lol.
Hell yeah! What sporty did you get? Mods can be bloody expensive and they start to add up when there’s a couple of things you want to get done. No worries, I’ll get cracking on a video! 👍
@@thewhiskythrottleclub awesome dude! I picked up a 2021 iron 883. I'm a bigger dude and everyone was saying I'd be bored with the power, but honestly I love the thing. Sporties rule dude. Love your vids!
Awesome! Really appreciate it. I really never thought to do any of that.
Thanks brother, let me know if you get any of the modifications done and how you go with them 👍

@@motopanda3741 that’s something I wouldn’t have thought about, cheers for the heads up 👍
Why would you remove the belt guard? My 2022 Harley XL883N Iron 883 has the belt guard on it and to me it looks really cool.
Some people think it makes the back end look a bit better and it gives the bike more of a “chopper” look.
You should go to a swap meet look belt chain guard cut it just reach’s the sprocket looks good and stick have the safety 🇺🇸🤙😎
That’s an awesome idea! I’ll have to have a look into it for sure. Cheers 👍
Bro, that was awesome, thanks for this vid 👍👍
Cheers for your support brother 👍

@rustyshackleford4059 it would have a fair bit of poke to it now! I checked out a couple of your shorts, the bike looks good.
just bought a sporty. would love to see vids for mods under $20 and under $50. Feels like everything I want to buy is like $500 haha

@chezfeliz they are a good little bike with enough power for what they are hey?! stay upright, and thanks for the support 👍 I appreciate it.
If you live in a city. Marketplace is your best friend!
That’s it. Where I live in Australia, it doesn’t have a great deal of Harley parts on it usually but I’m always on the lookout for a bargain!
