Armed Civilians? Security Guards holding an area and screaming if a bad guy runs by or they hold the exit door so you can tell Civs to run to them for extract, or even a Security guard tapping in if you lose an officer, they become a third unit you can control but they can only provide cover?
I was thinking maybe even you enter a room and the civilian runs over to the gunman and starts wrestling them and you have to take a careful shot and if you dont help them in time they die idk there are so many scenarios.
That plus the screams and the haunting gun fire.. yeah, audio designer did an exceptional job of making it difficult not to just try to action man into danger. Very well done.

I enjoyed this video. As a retired patrol LEO, in my 30 year career, I've participated in large building clearings and also taught them as a firearms instructor at my agency. Moving to the sound of the shots is key, even if some areas need to be bypassed. With multiple suspects, though, it makes the decisions harder. This would also be cool to run through with one other player as your partner, as if you were the first unit on scene and made entry before SWAT was activated. Nice job.

Yeah I guess since there's been around 400 school shootings since Columbine people are more used to it. Valley of the Dolls is more interesting due to the real life inspiration behind it and simply because most people hold child abuse as more disturbing than murder.
valley of dolls is the sickest mission in my opinion. The moment you go down into the basement and see those barrels...i had to pause the game to take a break.
Suspect AI is still a bit janky and overtuned. their morale is apparently bugged to where things like blowing up doors and killing/arresting other suspects raises their morale instead of lowering it.
A pistol is basically a bb gun if someone is wearing rifle grade armor. They will barely feel being hit. So you need to shoot extremities or hands which is kind of hard to do when you are being shot at close range from an AK Any cop in the US today will have their AR15 variant in the squad car with a few mags
I have a guess why they put so few npc's (civilians) on this map, but that makes it kinda feel empty. But sure, they didnt want to have the mass killings in a level like this like at the airport mission in (i believe) CoD or the Hitman 2/3 maps😅. All in all but an great game

The only problem I have with this game is that gunfire doesn’t have a realistic noise propagation; the noise it emits when firing might be realistic but the way you hear it 10 meters away isn’t (e.g : 4:16 - the shotgun sounds like it’s 3 closed rooms away)
@@nathanmitchell7961 Its definitely not a skill issue when the Ai can clearly kill you in ways you cant defend against. Go on the "thank you come again" level and stand in front of any of the windows and try to shoot the AI while they shoot back. They get to kill you and you can't hit them at all.
This can be the case but in other instances even the AI being this borked can still be overcomes with the right tactics, deployables and and skill. People are trying to blame every facet of their experience on AI when they play a role in their success whether they ignore it or not. @@aerball
What do you mean? It's just buckshot. It has no penetration and is easily absorbed by body armour, metal surfaces and is unreliable at longer ranges. Are you disabled?
I'm struggling with FPS, I sit roughly at 40-50 fps and often drops to 15fps at times (basically unplayable). Does anyone know what fps I should be expecting with my set up? How are people able to play these maps? Is it just because they've played through all the others in the past? I'm stuck on the 3rd level but I keep wanting to try new ones. Also, how do you go solo? Sometimes the commander roll is great and sometimes the AI is what gets me killed lol
The game doesn't have alternate modes on each map anymore, and for some stupid reason (wah story/narrative dissonance reasons) they made this map a simple bomb threat map.
There's problems with the map. Even when rushing through without giving the team orders I can't explore the whole map. I have to hope I just get lucky with the bombs. The breifing makes no mention of the bombs. When disarming a bomb the player address TOC but then says nothing. Breaking immersion. The breifing states there's a active shooting situation. But makes no mention of the bombs until the last minute. At least of the 13th december release of the game. 10 mins is too short for a big map like this. SWAT 4 gets away with such a timer because the maps are designed so the player comes across all the side areas easily. This map isn't designed like that. Even when skipping even going outside I blow up before searching every location. In the privious map (the valley of dolls or whatever it's called) it's a hard map but the player thinks and changes tactics. In this map it's a matter of "getting lucky" with finding the second bomb. The map could be more engaging, but there has to be some changes to get the player more engaged. As it stands if I so much as tell my AI team to do anything I don't have enough time to cover the map. Every time the player fails there's also two loading screens and having to walk to redo the mission. Which makes the map even more frustrating to play. At least in the valley of dolls map I knew I was losing because of bad tactics on my part. This map is just blind dumb luck.

How are we gonna know where they are. Ive cleared the building fast and smooth and find the bombs everytime simply because im clearing all the rooms etc. 10 mins is too short? Well school shooting raids tend to be short. You must act quickly or everyones gonna die theres no time to be perfect and safe. Risk taking is required in these situations. Complaining about map design doesnt make sense. The map is aiming to look like the science block of a college not square rooms for you to perfectly clear with ease. Realism is the key factor in all of this and its the key note this game strives to complete. The ai thing is a little tricky i agree but in all honesty there is only so much ai will be able to do for this game. At the same time i simply find that getting my men to “fall in” and me go first works best. Maybe send a group to breach a room besides down the corridor whilst i do something else too works. It comes down to knowing what to do in this situation. The load times and not correct voice line bugs are bugs and can hopefully be fixed. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but to me it just sounds like you maybe dont enjoy the realism as much? Correct me if im wrong.
I think adding pvp in this game would be something that would keep me playing this, otherwise missions can be pretty much easy for me as a veteran fps players (even dough enemies are good designed). Pvp would increase dopamine levels and increase/keep playerbase.
I think it is very dynamic and no 2 play thrus of the map are the same but I agree it gets easier and a little monotonous if we only get the same missions but I appreciate the ability to mod in maps
Worst school layout I have ever seen. Also very frustrating, that the suspect AI is broken beyond any hope. The animation and movement mechanics would require a complete overhaul in order to render the game somewhat natural or realistic. Flanking, hiding, covering, peaking, intertia, natural reactions, interaction with objects - all that can hardly be achieved with the mechanics in place. Instead, the Devs chose to simply crank up suspect AI to terminator mode, oldest trick in the book to fake "difficulty". Yes, you can surely edit quite a few good looking videos, but in the end it's a unfulfilling and pointless game due to the absence of comprehensible AI behavior.

Suspects will shot themselves if they're alone and under a heavy suppression fire, they will run and hide from you if they see you coming, they'll even fucking squeeze through cracks in the wall to escape from you. Are lone cops permitted to respond to situations such as these? Seems irresponsible and just putting their lives, and also the civilians lives inside in danger.
@@tinzalix8624 Not the standard response, and honestly not always the best response sadly. One officer running into a situation like that has no clue how many shooters are or what the situation is. His actions could lead to an escalation and further loss of life. Things aren't that simple and the chances of a first responder having that level of experience and training to pull it off is unlikely. Even that notorious lone SAS operative was walking into a situation that was already had a perimeter set.

The devs for this game seem to lean too hard into right wing tropes. I respect that a lot of the levels are built around "realistic" scenarios; but lots of things in the game make me think the devs are just neck beard basement dwellers who fantasize about themselves being in these types of scenarios where they get to blast away people they think are in the "other" group. Kinda lame.

I’ve found flash bangs to be a saver on that mission, and I think you just fire them to go solo.
AI helps me a lot - if you just want to try them solo then you can host a multiplayer game for friends only, and there all maps are available

When there is an active shooting, you go in and run towards the gunshots, alone or not. Priority 1 is neutralizing the threat
