My WORST Custom Level Yet... New Super Mario Bros. Wii is part of the New Super Mario Bros. series alongside New Super Mario Bros., New Super Mario Bros. 2, New Super Mario Bros. U, New Super Luigi U, and New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. By modding the game, I get access to more assets than in Super Mario Maker and Super Mario Maker 2 and can create the worst troll/little timmy levels in the world. In this video, I show off my terrible alphabet level and my other terrible alphabet level. We also go back to 1-1 a bunch of times.

I hope you're going to continue with Nightmare Mario Wii even though you completed it, thanks for updating it, because even though annoying, we can help you with the ideas for the levels and I have some of them for World 6:
W6-2: Completely underwater with green and red Cheep Cheeps. In the middle of the level, there's going to be a wall with a pipe that goes to 1-1, underwater where the 3rd Star Coin will be here, almost hidden by the Bowser at the end. Also in the 1-1 section, there's going to be Roys off-screen, shooting their projectiles at you.
W6-3: You gotta be mini because the passages are going to be blocked and you can only pass them with the mini.
W6-T: Flipped 180° degrees and you start where normally the door you go to fight the boss is there so you gotta get up with Skewers trying to stop you in your way though but around the midway through, you're going to be sent in 1-1, where the door is there, sending back to the tower where the platform is almost totally covered in lava, leaving only the 2 Skewered platforms with the Skewers being very fast to arrive and go. At least just make the lava high enough so it leaves only the 2 platforms and also change the players position so it doesn't die instanly.
W6-5: The water is going to be replaced by poison and it will rise often so the player must go very high to not get inside the poison and wait for the poison to go down. Add some extra blocks to make this more possible. Also the hidden exit will be just 1-1 but with the rising poison thing and add some extra blocks if needed.

Idea: a remake of 8-3 from Mario lost levels in this game, but you have to go through it like 4 or 5 times to beat it and at the end you need a mini mushroom and the red blocks off. You don’t have to do the mini mushroom though because I feel like it’s too hard

World 8 idea: the 8-2 secret exit that takes you through the middle of the world is really easy to get, but then the level that it leads to requires some info from the airship level at the very end of it so you need to go around anyway

I love that recurring gimmick of the final boss being in every world, but since world 6 has that annoying darkness water level, you should replace that one with just the final boss, but in underwater darkness.

The story of the game is that the only way to stop bowser is to get 8 red coins, and after the final boss, you finally get a red ring that gives you all 8 red coins

I'd love to see a level where you have to remember patterns or you're set back to the beginning.
I'd also love to see a level that is literally a carbon copy of 1-5 (aka the maze level), but its in a cave (aka its dark).

6-3 is everyone’s favourite level with the gimmick of the water moving up and down. This is obviously a concept that people love, so making the water shoot up and down constantly at uncomfortable speeds would if anything improve the level.
I think there was a toad house like this if I remember correctly.

I was thinking maybe it would be a funny idea to have a level that is really difficult but after dying enough times the luigi guide blocks would show up and form the actual intended path to the exit

i like that every time you get hit or die you just make a cut to another clip without a single sound or anything
except sometimes you hear her go "aww :(" cut right at the end

Glad to see another video in the series, and thrilled to see the red blocks have made a return. Randomly punishing the player for having the switch in the wrong state is funny every time
After binging the whole series again, I understand if you don’t want to extend the mod further. However, 6-Tower is one of my favorite 2D Mario levels and I kinda want to see that completely destroyed.

I have a suggestion if you are continuing this hack. One, make it auto scrolling. Two, have a popular but annoying song playing throughout the level, making it a musical stage of some sorts! Maybe All Star by Smash Mouth? Idk maybe not but whatever one works. I hope my suggestion doesn’t make you feel pressured, and I hope the same for everyone else’s. This is a very unique mod, and there’s a very good reason for people to keep up with it and give their own suggestions!

Idea: Make a level which is ver one of the slots for a level with a secret exit. The level stars off as 1-1, and when you beat 1-1 it leads too the secet exit. But you ride the rolling hill into the secret 1-UP area. This leads to a pipe which leads to the main level. The main level will be an annoyingly malicious level full of trolls snd bullshit. The main level will be the one that ACTUALLY lead to the regular exit.

happy to see this series back in some form! if you’re still taking level suggestions btw, i think it’d be really funny if the pipe at the start of 6-3 just warped to you the end; since that’s how pipes are supposed to act! there’s no crazy level inside of pipes that’s insane!

For one of these levels that has a required red coin ring, you should put the 8th red coin in a fake wall. You've conditioned people to assume half the red coin rings don't have an 8th coin so it might take them some time to figure out the scam :P

(Would still like a rhythm level, maybe in world 7 as a reference to rhythm *heaven* and the fact that the world 7 levels imo are the ones most associated with music, though I understand that would probably be a nightmare to make work lol)

If and when you make World 6, I have some ideas, replace every coin in 6-1 with enemies, specifically enemies in that level, and replace every enemy with coins. Another idea, for one of the levels, there's a toad who lost his car keys. The flag is blocked by blocks until the player finds a PNG of car keys hidden in the level, the level is unchanged except for a hidden pipe at the beginning that you can't see that takes you to the keys, and one of the normal pipes takes you to 1-1 but the "music" is a car horn going off.

As someone whose seen a lot of mario maker trolls and the like, the layout in the G area just made me think of "G is for garbage", because it felt like block spam. I love it.
I forgot how much I love these, it’s absolutely perfect.
Asking people to use savestates is horrible design.

Another Idea: Make the final star Level that's a Quiz Level on the entire game. Questions such as: How Many times has 1-1 appeared? In what ending in 2-tower do you fight Lemmy? How many times does 2-1 loop in 2-1? W is for?
And that's why I remember the video before this one was talking about how people wanted levels to be the hardest, so thank you so much for going back to basics with this bonus-bonus to the bonus-bonus-bonus and making it approachable (vocabulary you used then) with something so basic as the alphabet. It's been a great fun time with you missing every steam by an hour, so let's continue having fun with that! And

Here’s an idea for world 6, if you end up making it:
Since it’s a mountain world, you could do an Undertale reference/homage by doing a Mario Wii version of the infamous multi-color tile puzzle, but with different tiles and effects (for example, red tiles are walls, ground tiles spawn enemies, and “1” tiles take you to 1-1). This could be a great concept for an annoying level hack since even in Undertale, the puzzle is complicated, but entirely solveable.
Also, don’t worry about being pressured to continue this. Just do whatever it is you like to do for fun or content, and viewers like us will enjoy them either way
have a fake pick-a-door that always sends the player to 1-1, regardless of which door they go through

What if you make a level that's just entirely behind a wall like the letters in the worst level
Great idea: for one of the levels you can recreate the minus world from smb1 and you have to go through the pipe like 20 times to beat it, or you could teleport into it as a softlock in some other level

Idea for world 7 if you do decide to do world 6 and then get burned out afterwards:
Set a maximum time limit for the ENTIRE world’s mod schedule to be only 90 minutes, and then release it regardless of its state.
And if the world isn’t playable after the 90 minutes then that’s completely fine: it’s not like anyone is going to miss world 7 tbh, nor will it rly lock out world 8.
Plus I’m pretty sure breaking an entire world due to arbitrary time constraints is a pretty terrible (meta) level design
I like to imagine that this level took him a full 9-5 work shift every day of every week with no breaks for 7 months.
I know I'm late but two ideas:
-A very long and unfun level, but at the end the red switch blocks will block the exit pipe if they are on. This works because by this point you will probably have red switch blocks on.
-A level in World 8 (if you get that far) that's one of the required levels, which requires the red switch blocks in order to be completed. This will force your players to play through and enjoy the entirety of World 3!
13:04 i think this shows just the beauty of the concept there is no reason for the wall not to match what it shows but the fact it doesn't and is slightly thinner is just a beautiful insult to the player
Idea for world 6: One level that's just in darkness with no good light sources whatsoever
My suggestion for a level is that there’s a switch at the beginning and you have to wait an absurdly long amount of time for it to delete the blocks for the exit. Like you can see the exit right there, it’s covered by blocks, and you can’t reach it for the next 500 seconds.

Idea for a level: At some point you have to break through a lot of bricks with the penguin suit but on those bouncy blocks so I takes a long time to do it, since you have to run back to the start and then slide all the way over.

World 7 idea: the secret exit in the tower requires hitting a hidden block at the exact coordinates of the first crab in 4-2, which should be incredibly easy because 4-2 was labeled incredibly well.

6-tower idea: There's no safe spots off to the side to hide from the giant skewer. Instead, there's just a ton of power ups, and you have to constantly damage boost the whole time

Hey, I’m a game dev, it’s totally fine to feel burnt out, and if you don’t wanna continue the series that’s fine. Everyone needs a break, but if you ever feel compelled to make more levels here’s my recommendation for a level. Make a level with like twenty pipes that all lead to 1-1, except have one of the pipes lead to a different 1-1 that has a secret that leads to the next section, that of course being 1-1 again.

Level idea: 6-1 is the level with all those climbable rocks, so you could make a version where the ground is gone and you have to use those rocks to traverse the level. Not difficult but extremely annoying and time-consuming.
Then you could put in 1-1 but with climbable rocks
Idea for a hypothetical level. 1-1 but if you reach the end there will be a pipe leading to 1-1 again, and if you reach the end there will be a pipe that leads to ANOTHER 1-1. You have to this 5 more times, then you will reach the flagpole.
also there is no checkpoints
i cant remember the exact level but i remember a level in world 6 that uses those climbing ledges a lot with stone spike enemies. making every surface the climbing ledges would be pretty miserable, bonus points if you have to play 1-1 with only climbable ledges
