@Capricete _ That is quite a big job, and it may not even be the issue. Thanks, for the help. I have to think about this one. This way, it is still usable as a media player and a 4K bluray player, at least.
If i got a unit like that i would definitely take the motherboard out of that chassis before testing. With that much bend its very likely some part of the circuit would be in contact with the body and could take out the good parts, like a good spare psu that i use for testing.
How did you diagnose that the small ci (a regulator I think) near the HDMI encoder was the issue? Did it measure any short against the ground? I have this Xbox one X here I tried to replace the HDMI chip without success. It does boot as the controller syncs etc but I could not get it working. Also, do you know if the HDMI from the X1 slim is compatible with the XX? Thanks!!
I found that there were multiple shorts to ground. This one had been damaged in a lightening storm. You might want to check the hard drive on your console. No those ports are not compatible.
Sorry totally off topic....I just bought a PSP 1001 Do you know if the after market analog sticks are smoother than the original ones? It works on 99% of my games but a couple games it drifts? Anyways there are tons of videos on these but nobody talks about the quality of the aftermarket sticks if there is a brand that's better than others. Thanks for all your vids they are so detailed and easy to follow.
A fan and a power supply can he found. Prettymuch any issue that isn't soldered on the mb should be salvageable. The heatsink is a surprising shock absorber, but it the board itself is cracked, it is probably dead
@@Ariannus Both are married to the motherboard unfortunately. You can clone the stock hard drive though to make the xbox think you're using the stock hard drive. People are doing it to replace the stock one with a faster SSD to improve load times. It's not easy but it's not too difficult either.
You did à good work 👏 I want to ask you if it's possible I need to change the thermal-pad of my Laptop, I'm confused between Artctic silver 5 and arctic mx-4, which is the best? Thank you 🙂
At 9:13 I thought I saw a spark on the heatsink (near the top left) but going frame by frame I think it just happened to be your hand reflecting a bit, it's only visible for one frame.
Here's how to fix your Xbox One: 1) Pick up your Xbox, and all accessories. 2) Find your nearest trash can, and throw it all in. 3) Cover in gasoline, and light it up. 4) Set up an intake at an outpatient psychiatric center, and let your therapist know you bought an Xbox One. (you might be institutionalized.) 5) Upon leaving your appointment, go to the store and buy a PC. There, you fixed it. 😃👍
Unsure about the xbox one but I did swap the disk drive from a different 360 to my motherboard. I had to swap my motherboard from the disk drive itself from the original to the new one.
I assume the PSU was doing what it was doing on the first board because that bend was shorting something against the motherboard tray and that triggered OCP/SCP on the PSU and kept resetting it
Isn't the Arctic Silver 5 compound conductive to some extent? If I didn't remember it wrong, they noticed customers about this issue in their manual. So can it cause problems if it contacts the small components near the die?
Why do you have direct contact between the thermal paste and your skin? There are some heavy metals that can get into your bloodstream through the sweat on the fingertips no?
TronicsFix, Any chance I could buy the dead XB1 X motherboard off you? I need to replace some capacitors on the bottom side of the CPU on my motherboard and have no idea what the values are as they were lost when I was getting the clip for the heat sync off.
Hey TronicsFix, hopefully you see this and could help me. My xbox one x just broke and i have no idea why, but i have a theory that i wonder if you agree with. Its almost 100% the HDD going out, it was gradual and wont boot up even after fac resets. I was wondering if you think i mightve accidentally gradually magnetized it using my tablet case. (It has a small magnet on the base for locking it closed) I keep my xbox in front of me and sometimes sit my tablet w/magnetic latch against the xbox on the top of the right side of the case, and i think its right on top of the HDD. Could that tiny weak magnet fry the HDD over the course of a year? It started lagging menus, freezing when i brought up messages, and stopping installs. Then i would get the occasional error startup, but it would fix with a reset. When that stopped working, a fac reset worked. (I thought it was a software issue) After a week, it error screened again and a fac reset didnt work. Had to buy a new one....rip 3 months etsy store profits.. Sorry for the wall of text, but your imput would ease my mind regarding my new one. Regardless of that tho, im keeping the nearest magnet 3 rooms away from my new xbox
I think that the layer count is more like 12. PC motherboards are mostly 8 layers and doesn't have all of thoose memory chips. The real challenge is routing tout all the pins for that!
Hello to everyone I have an issue with my Ps4 Pro. When I play games with the console placed in horizzontal, the fan run quiet but when i quit the game, the fan continue to spin for 2 3 minutes. When I moved it in vertical, this issue doesn't happen. What it could be? 2 months ago, a technic changed the thermal paste and fews day ago I replaced the thermal pads.

@@Tronicsfix you mean the IC are no intercompatible right?
Sorry totally off topic....I just bought a PSP 1001 Do you know if the after market analog sticks are smoother than the original ones?
It works on 99% of my games but a couple games it drifts? I've cleaned the connections its in excellent shape was very clean inside never opened before. Anyways there are tons of videos on these but nobody talks about the quality of the aftermarket sticks if there is a brand that's better than others.
Thanks for all your vids they are so detailed and easy to follow.
Great work!
Glad you enjoyed!
I really like these kind of videos.
Thanks for letting me know! I'm always looking to make videos my viewers like to see!
TronicsFix no problem. You can also use the TH-cam survey for question like this.
I said I was gonna cop a tshirt and now I will 100% guarantee you I am gonna get one this week.
A fan and a power supply can he found. Prettymuch any issue that isn't soldered on the mb should be salvageable. The heatsink is a surprising shock absorber, but it the board itself is cracked, it is probably dead
>locking/marrying the hard drive to the motherboard
Good lord, Microsoft is bad.
It was the Blu-ray drive that he was saying is married to the motherboard. It's confusing the way he was gesticulating near the hard drive.
just like apple does with some of their components
@@Ariannus Both are married to the motherboard unfortunately. You can clone the stock hard drive though to make the xbox think you're using the stock hard drive. People are doing it to replace the stock one with a faster SSD to improve load times. It's not easy but it's not too difficult either.
Do you recommend to use thermal pads of 2.0 mm thick instead of the green paste that comes with the xbox one x?
You did à good work 👏
I want to ask you if it's possible
I need to change the thermal-pad of my Laptop, I'm confused between Artctic silver 5 and arctic mx-4, which is the best?
Thank you 🙂
None get Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut.
At 9:13 I thought I saw a spark on the heatsink (near the top left) but going frame by frame I think it just happened to be your hand reflecting a bit, it's only visible for one frame.
3:49 No fan spin?! Louis Rossman would be disappointed as well.
I liked it! Please do more of these videos
You make it look easy
Yes, but remember I've been doing this for years. Don't compare your beginning with someone else's middle...or end.
What is the stuff you put on the chip when removing and replacing?
What can you do with an HDD that is not the original one???
Is is possible to use another one? What about in 10 years when the HDD dies?
What happened to that thing? Did they throw it out of a car going down the freeway?
Looks like it!
Here's how to fix your Xbox One:
1) Pick up your Xbox, and all accessories.
2) Find your nearest trash can, and throw it all in.
3) Cover in gasoline, and light it up.
4) Set up an intake at an outpatient psychiatric center, and let your therapist know you bought an Xbox One. (you might be institutionalized.)
5) Upon leaving your appointment, go to the store and buy a PC.
There, you fixed it. 😃👍
Unsure about the xbox one but I did swap the disk drive from a different 360 to my motherboard. I had to swap my motherboard from the disk drive itself from the original to the new one.
Love watching guys like u repair broken game systems but never will buy one that was once broken ,just not worth the risk
AS5 causes absolutely no problem at all.
I can't find your link. Please put the link to your Amazon Shop, I need this viscous thermal paste that is used in the Xbox One X heatsink.
Have you got a usb to sata connector as you can rebuild the hard drive and it will work in any Xbox one
Why do you have direct contact between the thermal paste and your skin? There are some heavy metals that can get into your bloodstream through the sweat on the fingertips no?
what were the symptoms of that consoel before breaking?
Can't you plug in the power supply and then check voltage on the two prongs that plug into the motherboard instead of going through the whole process?
Since that motherboard doesn’t work is there anyway you can remove the CPU because I kind a want it just because it looks cool
TronicsFix,
Any chance I could buy the dead XB1 X motherboard off you? I need to replace some capacitors on the bottom side of the CPU on my motherboard and have no idea what the values are as they were lost when I was getting the clip for the heat sync off.
This series is amazing
Glad you're enjoying it!
(It has a small magnet on the base for locking it closed)
I keep my xbox in front of me and sometimes sit my tablet w/magnetic latch against the xbox on the top of the right side of the case, and i think its right on top of the HDD. Could that tiny weak magnet fry the HDD over the course of a year?
It started lagging menus, freezing when i brought up messages, and stopping installs. Then i would get the occasional error startup, but it would fix with a reset. When that stopped working, a fac reset worked. (I thought it was a software issue)
After a week, it error screened again and a fac reset didnt work. Had to buy a new one....rip 3 months etsy store profits..
Sorry for the wall of text, but your imput would ease my mind regarding my new one. Regardless of that tho, im keeping the nearest magnet 3 rooms away from my new xbox
Awesome video!
Glad you liked it!
Good video man.
Hey thanks!
Cool video . Thank you
You are true Master
Hey thanks!
Very good.
Just use another HDD an try some others tutorial using Windows 10, cause is not necessary an backup to do it.
Don't try what at home? Running an Xbox without a case? Seems like a good way to test it.
Why didint you start with pulling out the mobo from this beaten up case? It would reduce stress and might have made it work.
How? Like how does this happen?
Its interesting to watch how you make something works that is basically trash.
I think that the layer count is more like 12. PC motherboards are mostly 8 layers and doesn't have all of thoose memory chips. The real challenge is routing tout all the pins for that!
What do you charge to replace hdmi and to put console back together
@11:05 is that corrosion on the C15 cap?
I can't believe someone would treat their Xbox like that. Disgraceful.
The Xbox One X is an excellent piece of hardware. Why would anyone treat such a great game system like that ?
i probobly could have reballed it and made it work. heating it will make the traces touch again and unbend the board when it gets hot enough.
You can do more , but we are going to need the story of how that happened to that machine.
Scroll through the comments....its there
Do you also repair TVs?
Good ethos at work!
What’s the point of making drivesNot interchangeable
Do you sell refurbished Nintendo switches? If so could you send me the link to find them
This is cool. I have a couple consoles I rescued . How can I contact you.
I would not to risk to power up the circuit with such a bent frame all over/under it. It could be shorted somewhere under the mother board.
cool fix to make one console work from two broken ones
Tell Austin Evans at his YT channel! Maybe he could fix it!
Ha, ha...didn't know Austin did repairs.
@@Tronicsfix But, he not always doing repairs. He always doing review some stuff, how to waste on Amazon/eBay, building the ultimate, and much more
