What size of a cabochon would you suggest would be good to use on either strip. I'm just starting to make jewelry so I'm not pro at this yet..Thank You

do you think it would be a good idea to say, beadloom a strip and then use jewelry glue to put it on the outside of the bangle or would the bangle not be sturdy enough for the beads?
+jj mar I think that should work fine and would look lovely. The beads and the glue will actually help to make the bracelet even sturdier.
can you texturise the metal before bending? or should you do it after? and slap if you wanted to make the edges higher than the middle like an arc how would you do that?
+Katie Welikanna Yes, you can definitely texturize or metal stamp the metal before bending it. Just be cautious if you do too much to it because it will start to work harden the metal. If you plan on heavy texturizing then I would recommend bending it first, then placing the bent bracelet on a mandrel to texturize. For the second part of your question I think that requires more advanced metal smithing skills and more then what can be written out here. There are a lot of great books on how to really manipulate metal and dive into metal smithing.
Do you have any blank strips available for kids size? My wrist is a kids size.and the one you have does not fit me...and if i were to cut, what tool do I use, thanks..

Hi what is the thickest gauge in AWG that you would be able to bend with this tool. I am thinking about making raw items from sheet metal. Can it do 20 gauge? I am trying to minimize the tools needed so this would be great if it works.
+Jax Pax Hi, the manufacturer recommends blanks that are 22 gauge and thinner.
thanks.. do you have a product to use with 12-14 gauge? I guess I have to purchase a mandrel and hammer for this. I am trying to minimize the items I purchase so what do you suggest? I would actually like to purchase only 1 or 2 things that can be used for all my metal shaping. I value your opinion and look forward to your reply.
+Jax Pax I wish we did have a similar product to use with a heavier gauge metal. I will be honest that my real expertise is more in weaving, embroidery, chain maille etc. vs true metal smithing starting from sheet metal, however I will do my best to help. You will definitely need a metal mandrel since you will want to be hammering on it. Then for the hammer, I am guessing you do not want a textured look but a smooth one? For this you will want a hammer that will not mar your surface, I would recommend a nylon hammer.
There are various styles of metal mandrel and nylon hammer, I would suggest doing some online research to see if you can find tutorials showing similar types of bracelets as you are making and then you can see the exact tools they use. I am sorry I can't give you an exact list and say it will for sure work, I would not want to steer you in the wrong direction. I hope this at least gives you a little more information to go off of.

No, we have not tried any type of sublimation printing.
Julie - Can you hand stamp these blanks? Rivet? Paint with Vintaj Patinas? Cool tool!
+Jamie Jo Hi Jamie, yes, yes, and yes! You can hand stamp them as well as add patina. I just recorded a video that should be live within a week showing how to make a personalized message bracelet with the tool, a bracelet blank, alphabet punch stamps, and patina. You can also rivet them and I will add a video regarding that to my to-do list. Just a note about riveting, I would suggest that you don't rivet anything really long that is anchored at two points because this could affect the bendability of the bracelet. Also, you need to make sure not to rivet in the area where you slide the blank down into the tool (that little starting well). It is a cool tool, have fun!

How do you find SS blanks to make the cuffs and how do you set stones on the cuff??
I don't think we offer Sterling Silver blanks for this tool, I'm sorry. It's something that I can let our inventory department know there is interest in and we can see if we can find them. Setting stones onto a sterling cuff involves more advanced metal working tools and skills. You can do a search for "jewelry stone setting" and there will probably be some helpful information that will come up.
Beadaholique:) Hi thank you for that message back. Yes I would very much like that I want to make a SS cuff for someone and I have some turquoise already set in there own bezel settings but I just need them attached to the cuff do I go to a silver smith for that can they attach it do you think without heating the stones up just worried it might mess up the stones. I really would love to make a cuff myself using your tool so yes that would be great to be able to buy the SS blanks as well from you guys maybe between 3/4 of an inch to 1 inch would be great. :D And yes I have seen some videos on here but they weren't of much help in what I was looking for. :) Again thank you for the information.

Hi! I have not tried to work with silver on this tool before, so I unfortunately can not say if it will or will not work. It's a very sturdy tool but it would take some experimenting with your actual piece to see if it would work. I'm sorry that I can not provide a definitive answer.
