He wrote the song in about 10 minutes -- although he had been mulling over the concept of life as wine for some time. Gordon Jenkins, conducting here provides a gorgeous arrangement. The song won Grammys in 1966 for both Sinatra and Jenkins. My favorite Sinatra recording. It is Iconic in lyric, music and of course performance by Mr. Sinatra. Absolutely beautiful.
