  • No one was more electrifying in late 1990s ACC football than Georgia Tech QB Joe Hamilton. What he lacked in prototypical size, he made up for in heart and playmaking ability. By the end of his career at Tech, Hamilton set new ACC career records for total offense (10,640 yards), touchdown passes (65) and total touchdowns (83). As a senior in 1999, he named a consensus first-team All-American, won the Davey O'Brien Award and finished runner-up in the Heisman Trophy voting. In 2014, Hamilton was officially elected into the College Football Hall of Fame.
Roddy Jones caught up with Joe to relive some of his best moments, hear what it was like to play professionally in three different leagues and continue his football career as a coach.
