the counterweight shingle lifter is a slick trick, and something i might copy as i work alone, and carrying tools and materials up ladders to roofs is a pain. it would be good for working on upper story windows as well. i just have to figure out a braking system for the cable to control speed and position. thanx for the idea!
@@colerakocy2250 i mounted an old riding lawnmower rim on the top of the frame i made and tied a second rope from platform to platform that wraps around the rim. to slow the movement i put tension on that rope. it isn't perfect yet, but it works better than freefalling.

If you're going to make a video putting these things in it, the least you could do is mention what they are supposed to do, like the outdoor vacuum cleaner, I think they were picking-up some kind of nuts, but IDK, and I seriously doubt that it would function in the real world that smoothly.
The nut collector has thin wire in a ball, the gaps between the wire are smaller that the diameter of the nut, and when it rolls over the nut, the wire flexes around the nut, and encloses it within the ball. The ground forces the nut in (provides a back plate pressure) but there is nothing to force the nut out. However the PVC pipe that it was rolled onto was a good idea for automatic exit of the nuts, the PVC pipe created a curved back plate pressure, forcing the wires apart and making the gaps between the wire larger so the nuts drop out. Not a vacuum cleaner, nothing fancy, you can buy them on Amazon and other stores (not grouped together like the video though, but that's not difficult). The unloader was quite and interesting design I had not seen elsewhere. And, as lcv8023 said, there was a title in the top left of the screen to indicated that it was a 'DIY nut collector'.
The vehicle is being driven backwards in loader mode. You can see the second steering wheel (the original probably. Whilst it seems to have a single cylinder dumper diesel, the chassis is not a dumper, probably a mini truck, similar to a fuso. Proper hacked together. You can tell its being driven backwards, whilst there are a lot of modifications to it, he is sitting in the cab facing backwards.
Your videos are very helpful, I love them
9:38 has nothing to do with home made - its a very expensive store bought item
the rear part is commonly called ' a long Jan or John' , allready used in middle ages and pulled by horses

School has never been about teaching these lessons. They are always a result of 'I've had an idea'. The closest 'school' would get is mech eng.

he did. ..each segment was labeled top corner of the screen.
..and do you think maybe the rig picking up nuts was a camera trick or something?

That with the quad not is homemade
Also, not very good. So long messing about when it could have had pincers instead of chain.
Nice brains
Must be a nightmare remember the steering is backwards on it?
That ol truck looks like a hay buck we would build out of the oldest truck on the ranch
the first one he made a loader out of a dump truck then made the dump truck out of a loader.. LOL
So on first video he is turning steering wheel to left and "car" is steering right and vice versa... Hmmm
