It's about building confidence. He's trying to get her mind off of the crowd, and to make her comfortable in the moment. Nerves will affect your singing.
She did a lower pitch, so that helped. She also learned how to project her voice to greater effect. A good posture is also important. Her voice did change. It was fuller and less stressed.
Wow, so many nice, smiling, encouraging faces! Seems like such great energy and a wonderful group of people. Would love to learn and be part of something like this.
I so enjoy the lightness this girl steps into...and her courage...the space that the audience is for her too- and I wonder what else changed in her life from this entire experience.
yeah she's relaxed the second day, but there's more to it - she's controlling her breath and she puts emotions into it - she now thinks about the song and what it means, and not about the audience. That's half the success for any singer. :)
Great teacher, very warmhearted and and has a profound skill! He also heals his students in many ways and the student´s voice reflects this healing. The depth of compassion and love he gives to his student is remarkable!
Initially she was using pure head voice, peaking at the highs. Then she was using a bit of chest voice and smoothly alternating to head voice with greater ease.
Her confidence just grew and he was teaching her better breathing techniques and how to sing the song with the meaning of it behind the words. Her voice doesn't change, it just improves.
she did good the overall lesson wasn't so much proper breathing technique or tone or using your diaphram correctly but overcoming fear. You have to start with that and the others will follow naturally.
There is a massive difference. She first sang from her throat and upper chest, then she was told to sing from her belly, to generate the pressure with the abdominal muscles. That frees the pressure and strain in the chest and her voice. With more training she will start to increase volume and depth. The difference was in the technique.
I was listening with an earphone. I didn't feel anything when she was singing a couple of times under the instructors' instructions at at first. However, at 7:25 until the end, when she sings the next day, I got a few shivers and my hair was standing. I felt the emotion.
Im sorry but I can tell you EXACTLY what just happened there. He brought up a very nervous girl and put her on the spot, gently spoke to her, and built her self esteem and confidence and she loosened up. She got louder and more confident, and used more chest voice than falsetta. Done... no magic trick...
whomever didn't notice the difference needs to listen closely. Her voice went from a high pitch breathy sound to a low comfortable roar. A huge difference in the music industry!
At minute 1:37 she perceived what her choice to sing creates as her future. What are the infinite possibilities for many more people to have ease, joy, and glory connecting with their voices quickly, *as if by magic? Wahoo!
I think it is amazing! :) i do hear a profound difference.in her singing. Even if there was no difference in her voice, which there is, her whole demeanour 's changed. She's more relaxed & confident, and that in itself is wonderful.
I don't know who she is, but from my perspective it was great, and life is too short to worry about anything, so everyone just try your best, and live your life.
I wish she had kept it in the same key, A minor third lower is A LOT for the voice and she projected much less as a result...Having said that, I thought the original key (Bbmin) was just on the edge of too high and the next-day-key (Gmin) was on the edge of too low. Original key of Amin is probably her sweet spot?
She started off too high for her comfortable range, didn't really change much but the second day she started lower. I saw a tiny improvement in confidence purely based on the fact that someone was giving her pointers. I think the actual technique from the coach was worse than even I could have done.
I heard a difference and I think it came from the little girl making a connection with the song as the instructor told her too. Warming up to the audience and the instructor after singing the song several times also helped. She is a beautiful little girl who needs to sing a song she can connect to, and also she needs to work on her breathing technique.
can anyone tell me what he mumbles repeatedly (min 1:50)??? seems like some hypnosis...?? perhaps NLP? notice the anchoring with the shaking wrist... this is not to say its a scam but to understand what he is doing...
The last time she is singing the song three half steps lower than in the beginning. That in itself makes quite a big difference for the sound of a voice.
Hmm...am I the only one who thinks it's better the first day? There are only two noticeable differences: less nervous and lower key on the second day. As someone who prefers higher notes, I like the first one better...
Well from I guess from those who don't sing you would not hear a differance. However if you listen to the tamber of her voice it comes from a nasel un impressive sound to a better more powerful sound. If your looking for Pee Wee Herman to sound like Josh Groben in 5 min then you need to find a miricle worker, but to change a young voice so quickly. It was a really great job.
Wow.this is great. I do love singing. i love music . And im not a tone deef but everytime i sing something wrong goin in my voice .im afraid to shout my voice ou loud ..lol😁 I wanted to sing a song and feel the emotions but nothing emotions from my voice .
I wish I could sing... but I'm to confused with all the terms and everything... people say she needs work, but tbh for her I think she doesn't need that much improvement... I don't know... like some people on the voice and stuff sound great to me but then they are turned down like some of the most awful singers on there
I'd like to point out that when she sang on the second day, she started quite a few keys lower than she did on the first day. This is a trick used by many people in high school when auditioning for musicals. If there's a note that person can't quite hit or is just out of their range, all they have to do is import it into a simple audio editor (such as Audacity, which I hate) and "cheat" by dropping the pitch by a half step or two. I'm not saying there wasn't any improvement at all, or even that she did this on purpose, but it's not quite as amazing and mind blowing as it seems.
I'm seeing all these comments about how her voice doesn't change. You all aren't listening close enough, don't use your eyes and your ears, but your ears alone. The difference isn't going to be large but little. Tune your hears to hear the slightest things.
That is what happened but the thing most people do not know is that many times people think they have a terrible voice but really they just don't know how to sing and are singing in the wrong key or not putting enough energy into it.
I'm a dude who struggles with singing and is currently trying very hard to change that, but I have to be honest.. Her voice has potential if she works on it, but it's just...flat of where she wants it to be. It might have been a tad better if she had music to help out, but she still needs to work I did notice some difference though
She was great don't judge people she's learning GREAT JOB I love your voice you'll get very far in life.I'm a great singer to but i'm shy but i'm overcoming it.Never be afraid to do what you live best in life.
I’m sorry, but I don’t hear any significant difference in her voice. It’s still quiet. She’s talking rather than actually singing. There’s no projection or power.
Some pretty good mentoring going on... she should have him coach her on her seeming bit of trepidation, just to help her calm her nerves a bit. She'll have a little more vocal power once she can calm her nervousness. That was some impressive coaching and vocal improvements from a wonderfully willing volunteer! You could see the difference in her confidence during her 2nd day's performance. Kudos to both coach and student!
She is so brave for volunteering in front of all this people!
I didn't notice MUCH change in her voice...she just became more comfortable and she started in a lower key the second time around, which helped.
“sing from your toes”
Cameraman: *points camera at toes*
Wow, so many nice, smiling, encouraging faces! Seems like such great energy and a wonderful group of people. Would love to learn and be part of something like this.

You think he could TALK any faster?
I don't care what any of you say! She is sooo precious and i admire her courage! Girl you made me smile! :)
The reason she sounded "better" is because she lowered her pitch and practiced her breathing.
I doubted that there was gonna be a difference but then there was and I felt salty 😂😂🎼
Shes not bad, she can hold the key and hits the notes. More than many people can do
This is how i got obsessed with survive, the song.
She looks like the girl from Matilda (the movie)!
8:48 haha omg i thought the guy standing was clapping with his feet and hands xD
I would be shaking like a little Chihuahua up there..
Great teacher, very warmhearted and and has a profound skill! He also heals his students in many ways and the student´s voice reflects this healing. The depth of compassion and love he gives to his student is remarkable!
Initially she was using pure head voice, peaking at the highs. Then she was using a bit of chest voice and smoothly alternating to head voice with greater ease.
he just trained the girl how to breath and how to use her full voice i under 5 minutes.. thats amazing!
Woah. His shirts sparkles...
04:32 - that's Hypnosis right there. Very mild one & probably instinctive - but still effective in calming the girl down
Her confidence just grew and he was teaching her better breathing techniques and how to sing the song with the meaning of it behind the words. Her voice doesn't change, it just improves.
she did good the overall lesson wasn't so much proper breathing technique or tone or using your diaphram correctly but overcoming fear. You have to start with that and the others will follow naturally.
slower, more calm, controled breathing for everyone who does not hear a difference. I hear a clear difference.
Somebody get me this guys number I need to learn how to sing
What the hell is he saying at 2:55 ?
Not a huge difference, but enough to notice. I am not sure how he does it, but it's interesting.
camera man was very bad
There is a massive difference. She first sang from her throat and upper chest, then she was told to sing from her belly, to generate the pressure with the abdominal muscles. That frees the pressure and strain in the chest and her voice. With more training she will start to increase volume and depth. The difference was in the technique.
He talks so fast I can barely understand him. It would be more valuable if he slowed down some.
I couldn't sing in front of a crowd I have big stage fear
I was listening with an earphone. I didn't feel anything when she was singing a couple of times under the instructors' instructions at at first. However, at 7:25 until the end, when she sings the next day, I got a few shivers and my hair was standing. I felt the emotion.
She got more confidence! I'm in choir so I am all about learning how to breathe right.
Blew my mind - just goes to show what can be done with training and personal confidence - the young girl is great.
That's the key, more presence :) I've found singing to be an excellent way of meditating!
This girl isnt using air or volume. Therefore her voice sounds like she wants to take a breath.
What everyone else is saying. Also 5 minutes? What about the 'next day' thingy?...
At minute 1:37 she perceived what her choice to sing creates as her future. What are the infinite possibilities for many more people to have ease, joy, and glory connecting with their voices quickly, *as if by magic? Wahoo!

I like when the teacher was trying to bring in the emotion behind the lyrics...that alone can change the performance of the song.
aaaw she's cute :)
I'm glad she changed the pitch a little bit, it sounds much better
she's really good. she just needs a bit more power and expression is all
I don't know who she is, but from my perspective it was great, and life is too short to worry about anything, so everyone just try your best, and live your life.
Omg! Why dislike? If you don't want take his lesson, close browser and look for something else. No need to be mean to someone offering a free lesson.
I wish she had kept it in the same key, A minor third lower is A LOT for the voice and she projected much less as a result...Having said that, I thought the original key (Bbmin) was just on the edge of too high and the next-day-key (Gmin) was on the edge of too low. Wow beautiful!! She did a great job and so did he.

I saw a tiny improvement in confidence purely based on the fact that someone was giving her pointers. I think the actual technique from the coach was worse than even I could have done.
I actually did hear a change.
Next day she sang in lower key.. not singing using throat voice..
How did I get here? Time for bed
I heard a difference and I think it came from the little girl making a connection with the song as the instructor told her too. Overall she has a nice voice
Wow, talk about making a voice more solid, confident and present..
Wow when she first started singing she even sang better than me lol.
Wow, no more pitchy voice! Amazing :)
The only difference I heard was she was more confident
Hmm...am I the only one who thinks it's better the first day? There are only two noticeable differences: less nervous and lower key on the second day. As someone who prefers higher notes, I like the first one better...

She’s so adorable
Even some professional singers do not like to sing a cappella. Music track covers sins.
All I can feel is power but there's no feelings in it, it doesn't make me move, just power but you need both to sound even more powerful and emotional
why was he on her feet so long.. creepy
She literally just sang a lower range lol
Those are great techniques and I could see the improvement from the next day to the first time she went up😃
Wow.this is great.
I do love singing. i love music .
And im not a tone deef but everytime i sing something wrong goin in my voice .im afraid to shout my voice ou loud ..lol😁
I wanted to sing a song and feel the emotions but nothing emotions from my voice .
OMG it seriously changed so much!
Such change! Way to go Aubrey & teacher!
Hey it's me. My name is Aubrey too 😂
I wish I could sing... but I'm to confused with all the terms and everything... people say she needs work, but tbh for her I think she doesn't need that much improvement... I don't know... like some people on the voice and stuff sound great to me but then they are turned down like some of the most awful singers on there
Hi @itaigoldman, what he says is the Access clearing statement, which shifts the energy on what has just come up/is being addressed.
Wow!

She sings all through this much better than I ever could..
She was wonderful👏👏

I did notice some difference though
OMG SHE WAS AMAZING....that teather is a master at singing
There was a change in her confidence and key, but not in quality. No hate though.
wow that was so amazing!!!
Lots of skeptics making comments, not a lot of knowledgeable people though. Something to think about.
what does he actually say right before he asks her to sing? He seems to repeat it quite a few times
What a sweetheart.
i noticed a complete transformation
he's like a life coach
Great job!
She was great don't judge people she's learning GREAT JOB I love your voice you'll get very far in life.I'm a great singer to but i'm shy but i'm overcoming it.Never be afraid to do what you live best in life.
Aww, she's so cute!~ Stop being so harsh people, she's just a kid! Seriously... =_=
I’m sorry, but I don’t hear any significant difference in her voice. It’s still quiet. She’s talking rather than actually singing.

wow wat a voice
