- Just thought I'd take a look at how things stack up between a double Castoria/Oberon support team and a double Koyanskaya/Oberon team - featuring the omni-NP type Space Ishtar!

Am I seeing a fellow master who has the option on for displaying random ascension on their servants?

huh and here I thought Buster would have easily cleaned house. I forgot Koyan doesnt have atk up buff so the lack of atk up cancels out the 1.5x dmg mod it seems
if you use 2 artoria np and not just 1 it's more or less the same again..
What 1.5x damage mod
The 1.5x damage mod on buster effectively doesn't apply to NPs, since buster NPs have a lower multiplier that counteracts the buster bonus. Arts and buster NPs of the same level deal the same damage before buffs. The difference in final damage is that arts gets 40% more ATK up, or more plus NP damage if using Castoria's NP first for overcharge, while buster gets the extra 50% buster up from Oberon.
Lol there is no such thing as 1.5x damage mod, because the NP multiplier are different hence it's already made up for the card type damage mod, infact Quick NP would deal the most damage while Art and Buster are exactly equal.
@@lhv2k No, there is such a thing, and you call it base damage mod. quick np hits the same with buster and arts, the reason why it has a higher percentage in paper(multipliers) is to balance things out due to their innate low base damage mod (X0.9%).They all hit the same regardless, gap in damage is only visible when you factored in other sources of buffs
The advantage with using castorias is that if both 2nd appends are unlocked, then it is possible to fire off both castoria nps (1st & 2/3rd wave) if only getting 20% charge on second wave is ok. It almost doubles the damage output which is real funny
Another NP before also give Space Ishtar NP more overcharge: 20% NP damage for 3 turns become 30%.
On an irl farming basis you won't be using castoria's np. You'll only use her np if you got spistar at np1, and this only applies to 90+ nodes and above.
you never use castoria np outside cq
You absolutely do use it if it gets you over the HP hump, rather than rolling out your fourth copy of whatever your DPS servant is
Arts is cheap2play friendlier than buster and stronger for multicore

Idk if anyone has the answer, but due to the nature of some of these enemies, wouldn’t both the “human” attribute, and “man” attribute from Koyanskaya’s second skill apply in this scenario?
That's why he didn't use it, he wanted to compare it as fair as possible.

if only i could get just 1 copy of BG lol, never mind MLB. i've resigned to my fate that i will not be getting BG until the 7th anni CE ticket. in the meantime, royal icing (and hero elly's adventure for melusine buster looping) will do just fine. hope to finally get my space ishtar to NP3 next year 🙏
99% of the time you should be 6-slotting using foumes as the CE on the looper(2k atk 5% bond)
Only in events you will need something else.
It is not that game changing for now.
@@GS_CCC that is what i do for normal free quests, yes. however, it would have been nice to have BG for events where i didn’t have event CEs to fill up all the party slots.
@@jon.y0502 pretty sure most events with 90++ have free dmg CE so you wont lose much when you need the damage.

With my NP5 lv100, 1k fou Ishtar I got to 8kk with Buster, and 8.5kk with arts,
however I was aiming to boost max damage:
I did use two Crane NPs with switch MC in bots cases.
For Buster I used 3 Ox-kings CEs
For Arts I used one NP3 and one NP5 Calstoria NP
Also for both cases I one used Da-Vinci CC to boost NP damage.
Aside from getting more lvs on Spishtar, more NP lvls on Crane and Castoria, and a better switch MC,
I'm not sure what else can be done to boost damage )
Spishtar really is the Jack of all trades and my sole NP5 servant, she is truly a servant I love and I am glad to have invested in her not because she is meta….but because she is a Rin :p
Plus she is adaptable to almost all kinds of team comps so I’d highly recommend her to anyone who doesn’t have her :D
After this I may have to skip kama then save for her and next year's summer banners after all
@@treybrady9134 that is entirely your choice lol. Kama is also a very solid arts looper after all. It's just that Spishtar can do all three kinds of farming so if you don't have some of the meta supports, you can fit her into the one you do have. Since you summoned next years summer banners, it's definitely better to wait for Summer Ibuki cuz she is probably the best arts looper in Fgo to date.
Anyways, thank you for reading my two cents lol. P.S If you have a good amount of SQ, u can try and get one copy of Kama if you really want her. If not, definitely save like you said. Good luck with your summons :D
@@treybrady9134servants take like less than half a year to reach b10 if you use your daily ap, no need to skip one for another gameplay wise.
Only if you want to save SQ it makes sense.
@@sladeemiya9400 I wouldn't mind kama but I would prefer space ishtar since I need dupes as well as ibuki + dupes so I may just save for summer 7 starting now and see if I can get them

@@thatonecanadianguy6523 I have her appends @ 10/10/- because frankly I feel that anti-archer, for her, is pretty unnecessary and I rather use the mats and servant coins on other things that are like servants and eventually grail casting.
F2P NP3 and pretty happy with that
NP6, 120, 2000/2000 gold fou'd, 10/10/- appends, working on the bond level to unlock the last append and just one command card to Max fou paw. My Ishtar is gonna be as perfect as she can be!
Prefer to use arts looping when i can, only using buster if fighting enemies that don't refund enough
have you tried putting a 50% CE and plug oberon with Arts spishtar?
@@adrastos8401I'm sure you can brute force arts farm with that setup but I would rather do it with Melusine buster farm in that case and free up the CE slot for more bond/QP bonus.
Real problem with bg buster is the first wave refund, not totally reliable
Her second skill is one time only so using it on the final turn gives her a 40% boost with Oberon
They had to use it to change her to buster, but I think there's still a way to use it twice, just need to have the right skill order...

@@sorashizen5130there is a way, but it includes not using bg as the ce, which in the end gives more or less the same amount of damage as with bg
@@laxuanhunginfoWith this setup, there doesn't seem to be any way to use it twice. It's just like you're saying, because of BG he's stuck with this skill sequence. He'd need to use both koyan batteries on the 2nd turn to reload the skill, but in order to do that, he'd need to use Oberon's 50% on the first turn, which would then rob him of his refunded np charge, breaking the loop. If it were a 30% starting gauge CE, then it would be a different matter, but BG limits the skill order greatly.
I have the same setup but my Spishtar is "only" Lvl 110 (at the moment) and my Castoria is "only" NP4 but I guess I'll get buy. Since I did pick up both the Fox Capitalist and the Mothman my hardest choice will be Arts or Buster??
BTW wanted to ask, are you going to go for Summer Kama? Having Spishtar I plan to throw all my summer SQ Okitan Sabers way. I already have Assassin Kama so I'm good myself.

@@davenfarrelino800 I was actually rolling for the CE after I got NP1 but she just kept coming lol. Took less than 300 SQ to get her to NP4 when I got the 5th copy of the CE :)

@@davenfarrelino800extra np levels for a servant with an NP is always the better choice. No point in getting more levels on someone like castoria when you should never be using it in farming.

@@saltrxn i don't think she has enough refund for that, since her quick NP is just 3 hits.
With 0.69% NP gain she only refunds 6.21% charge(no buffs) which doubles to 12.42% with 100% quick up, assuming 3 Saber or equivalent enemies, with no overkill hits.

not really, np1 summer kama is alrdy redundant even with an np1 spishtar, how much more with an np2 spishtar
performance-wise, ye nope. Her base dmg is alr weaker than Spishtar so at NP1 she will even struggle more to clear waves that are slightly more chunky.
That said if you can ever whale for her, her farming speed is much faster than Spishtar, saving you a lot of time for lottos.

arts space ishtar is still the best
Arts space is miles better with oberon, you could ve done a little bit more dmg in waves 1 and 2 if you follow:
Wave1: use both castorias skills, plug to oberon, use skill 1 and space skill(this gives you the extra 30% np dmg from oberon's skill)
Wave2: use space's s3
Wave3: use oberon skills and finish.
With this order my space has been able to farm 2 enemy waves pretty easily.
Is it just me or do I see no considerable difference?

Buster is better if u can make use of koya s2 trait, otherwise arts more reliable

Without Oberon she will need kaleid, so her DMG will be reduced dramatically

@@kazukinowa Why not, 70 Cu Caster can hit 200k neutral 3rd wave with MLB Black Grail with just Artic, not even swap. And you can still swap someone else instead of Oberon if you need (like Merlin or Chen Gong) for even better damage.

I think not using castorias np is such a waste especially when castoria is np5.
U didnt used koyanskayas human attribute damage mod but i get it that man and human is a niche power mod so its fair to not use.
I myself doing free quests and doing farming and such and its very rare when i run into man or human attribute cus of the theme of the lostbelts.
There are not a whole lot of singularity or lostbelt that prefers man or human attribute.
