@@55olas To each their own, I personally find the CP1 to sound a bit bland. The CP300 has such a wide, open, and grand sound to my ear that hasn't been beat yet. That's just my opinion though, I respect yours.
As a big fan of the CP1 I can only agree to what you say. Great demo as always, btw! The only drawback is the CP80. Which in my opinion sounds for example much better in Waldorf's Zarenbourg. However, the CP1' Grand is unbelievably good. Especially when played with the wooden keys.
I intend to put a few tunes on my page using my new Kawai MP10, when time allows. I take your point about grand pianos in small spaces! But if money was no object would you choose a good acoustic upright piano over a really top notch digital? I think I would plump for digital - I can't do without deep bass in the lower register, even if it IS through loudspeakers!
why doesn't Yamaha have telephone support? I can't find anyway to contact them with questions. I sent an email thru their website a week ago, still no response. That's not good customer support/service.
It reminds me very much of my S90 ES. Sure, it packs more sounds and I guess sampling rate might be better, yet, I didn't really notice any significant difference. I am still waiting for accurate digitalization of CP 70B, the one that I so foolishly sold few years ago. I guess I will be best off by getting another CP 70B...
Well, it's all very subjective really, but I think it's all about value for money. I got a good discount on my MP10 and I love the action. However, no digital I have ever tried is anywhere near the sounds that come from the top acoustic grands: Steinway, Bechstein, even Yamaha and Kawai. Digitals 'pretend' to be an acoustic piano, that's all. It's just that some are better at pretending than others! Do you agree?
Going to add the 1 GB Flashboard to my MOXF 8 just so I can load these CP1 sounds. The MOXF 8, of course, has the S6 Grand, CP80 and DX Legend sounds, but I must have the CFIIIs grand piano. Great demo as usual.
Whatever is wrong with the tuning in the upper register when this video starts (0:10) - particularly the high Bs and Cs descending passage starting at 0:16? It sounds awfully out of tune. Yes, "very nice voices", if you like that sort of thing, but I just want a really good piano sound. F6 grand is OK, I suppose, but I've tried this piano. I do NOT like the action - too heavy by far for me. I also think it is overpriced and I'm so very pleased with my Kawai MP10 - ½ the price of the CP1!
Ten years old and still the top of the Yamaha line in stage pianos.
I'd argue that the CP300 is still better, but this one is still one of the best.
@@aSlipperyDuck I have to disagree. I had a Yamaha cp300 for about 5 yrs. This CP1 beats it in terms of sound quality.

this guy is the best, every product video of him is very good. I kind of started to understand japanese :)
Great to see an employee so proud of the product his company makes.
My next piano is going to be a Yamaha.
One of the best demo's I ever watched !
I'm amazed he speaks english that well - hope he'll do this on his musictrackjp videos in future - they're about the best demo videos of them all
Ive heard a gang load of keys being a sound guy. this has to be the best set of keys i've ever heard. simply, deliciousness.
Your English intonation is actually really good
Ujiie's demos are always better in Japanese with English subtitles. Love this guy's demos.

For 5:32 minutes, I thought he was talking Japanese. Guess I'm used to seeing Ujiie-san on MusicTrackJP!
I own a CP73 and love it. I'd love a CP1. But I might buy the cheapest yamaha made listening to him demo it. lol!
I don't know Nords at all, mainly put off by the colossal prices! Are they worth it and do they give you a really authentic grand sound?
Naniii? Ujiie-san wa eigo ga dekimasu ka? :D
What is he playing it through?
Sounds awesome!
this is yamaha sheeepy one
I came here for this comment.
