The biggest issue is that the people choosing the specs of the Kia units they're bringing in seem clueless. There's too much torque in that diesel for FWD. It makes it nearly dangerous in the wet. They brought it in with lane keep assist, but not adaptive cruise. The pricing is high for what you get, so they'd be better pricing it higher, but including better specs. It should have all the safety features and AWD. Look at the Subaru Evoltis, it's 3.4 million, but it's fully loaded. I notice this with Hyundai products as well, they also have a bizarre choice of options fitted that don't make a lot of sense. Lane keep assist, but not adaptive cruise, for the Philippines? I get the feeling that they think everyone buying these cars will sit behind the driver. You see the same thing with the "poverty pack" lack of options on European models, like BMW. You're paying a fortune for the badge, but you don't get any tech features. The Chinese cars are loaded with features, so we know it doesn't cost that much for them to add the safety suite. On the plus side, great seats, great design, great build quality. Kia are making some awesome vehicles, but I really don't get the thought process behind the options fitted. I've owned Kias and they've been great cars, but at this price, with the lack of options, I'd buy something else, even if it costs more. Once you're paying over 2.5 million, you expect more features.

I think it's the problem of the brand's local distributor (columbian and ayala) as to why they scrimp on those features despite the high price. Probably because of the stereotypical attitude of filipinos who complain about many features translate into more problems in the future or at least something like that.

That was one of the better looking 3rd rows outside of a MPV. Im starting to see why someone would look at this over a Monty, Xpander Cross or XL7. I would like to see how you fare in the 3rd row of the Sante Fe Sir Roy😅

Kia PH doesn't understand the PH market, US variants Sportage and Telluride are sure hit with Pinoy market yet they don't bring that

i have seen one of this vehicle today. What really a NO BUY for me on this vehicle is, "there is no proper clip on the front bumper for the Plate Number". The screw the dealer put will put a hole on the thin plastic. This will NOT HOLD the plate number and you may loose it.

It's like my 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe crdi Matic the only difference is it's all powered. all rows has a/c vent and power outlet like mine same cargo space and same foldable seats 2nd and 3rd row

GAC GS8 is better and comes with a lot of tech and safety features, a better design, is more spacious, and costs less. This Sorento doesn't even have a sunroof for the 2.6M price tag.
