I have considered many things including combat capability, personality, affinity perks, perks needed to make them viable plus a little personal preference.

Automatron DLC and my man Codsworth is a sentry bot with 2 gatling lasers.
Where companions can be more hazardous than deathclaws :p

ADA is a really good companion, don't diss her

To me ADA can be quite annoying during "the mechanist" mission bridge elevator part (IF only you mod her legs to assaultron legs) cause she practically won't stay still for the whole escalator bridge journey and intends to jump down midway. Other than that i don't find her as an annoying companion cause she can be mod to be quite strong as a companion (If you have the resources). Overall i don't think she is the worst companion to have other than during that one only mission.
Why yes i respect your personal opinion but with codsworth and hancock i do not agree …. Well the thing is with codsworth he gives you purified water wich has saved me a fiew times. And with hancock ….. he is able to give you chems. Wich can give you an good amount of caps.
honestly ada doesnt seem bad infact shes damn op endless upgrades no need to max an affinity and best of all does wat nick and cait can do all in one
1:17 yeah, if you do it right you can even turn her into a sentry bot equiped with gatling lasers and miniguns and trust me, as soon as you do that, she'll be a force to be reckoned with
Ada doesn’t even need to be turned into a sentry bot to be very deadly since you could just equip her with automatic lasers on both arms (or Gatling lasers and miniguns) while not giving a her a sentry bot body.
Nah Old Longfellow is good. Lever Action Rifle is a pretty decent gun and his character perk is solid. He's not useless in combat and is probably somewhere around the level of McCready (though I would say Cready is still better, Longfellow is just somewhere in that range)
While she's a great character, I'd say Cait is objectively one of the worst. Just like Hancock she uses a Double Barrel Shotgun as well. And her character perk is 25% faster AP when health is at 25% or less. So almost useless. Like with Hancock where most of the time players are going to pop a Rad Away before getting 250 rads, how often are you going to let your health get to 25% before using a Stimpak? Not very damn often.
So decent weapon for a fight, decent character perk reward, Old Longfellow certainly isn't in the 5 worst.
i do not agree to your list at all. The having to put skills to upgrade my murder robot, even though those skills you mentioned are ones which you should probably grab anyways, unless you wanna waist most your caps on gun mods/armor mods, and other easily craftables not to mention you get parts from killing the other robots so you dont even need most of those skills it jsut makes it better, till way later but by later your stacked anyway so it doesnt matter

Um Preston is not on list lol or strong... They are the worst and most annoying
Preston and Strong are pretty effective in combat.

@@liamsmithrowe not in Preston’s hands it’s not, and it does more damage than a sawed off shotgun or 10mm pistol on average.
