Driving in Germany 4K: Autobahn A8 / E52 from the Albaufstieg to Ulm POV

This is my first TH-cam upload of a recent drive on the German A8 Autobahn. This short drive takes us from the well-known Albaufstieg, a very old section of the A8 with a steeper incline across the Schwäbische Alb, to right before the city of Ulm. Ulm is a city with over 100.000 inhabitants in the Southwest of Germany and a well-known university city. It boasts Europe's tallest Church tower and is the birthplace of the famous Albert Einstein.
The A8 is an important West - East link in the south of Germany serving big cities like Stuttgart and Munich, and it's notorious for several bottlenecks. The Albaufstieg is one of them, another well-known bottleneck is the section West of Stuttgart near Pforzheim. In the past decades several widening projects to 3 lanes have been finished, but plans for sections like the Albaufstieg are tougher to realize. The construction that you do see in the video is related to the new high speed rail corridor between Stuttgart and Ulm, part of the project Stuttgart 21.
