Wamted to let you know, your video on converting to Milwaukee tools made me get the snap on CTR867 long neck ratchet. It just blew my Milwaukee out of the water and feels much hetter built. Thanks for heung the channel i go to for tool reviews along with torque test channel and project farm!
I have the AES Uscope also. A great product for finding wiring issues on digital busses. This was a game changer on my GM diesel truck, helped isolate a wiring issue on my GMLAN low speed buss. Saved thousands from what would have been charged at the dealer!
17:28 The fill/ check plug is located on the right side of the CVT right behind the inhibitor switch for these models with the exhaust on the left side of the CVT
That snap on wrench set cost well over $700 😆. I couldn’t do it I bought Horrible freight version. I don’t wrench professionally anymore but I still like to keep my tool box up to date. One of the best tools make in the past years.
Dude look into wright tools wright grip combination wrenches, they can be had for fairly cheap secondhand unlike SO and man I’m telling ya wright tools is one of the few truly who still proudly make great tools on American soil and their alloy second to none imo, just phenomenal stuff
Hello Mr Subaru. Is there any way you could please list the part numbers for the EXACT socket and ratchet combination that you socket use for a 2020 Outback for spark plug removal . Love your channel and appreciate your time thanks.
My shop has a really nice smoker, the pressure is adjustable to whatever you need, easy to refill the fluid and work with it can be DC or AC powered, it makes leak finding gravy work, it takes longer to set it up than finding the leak most of the time
Thank you for the video and review brother. The only one that surprised me was the GW ratchet. I gave up on then a few years ago when it seemed the quality went south. I had two ratchets fail and just said to myself, serves me right. Two items i bought this year that i am impressed with. Milwaukee impact sockets and their wrenches. I had no business buying the wrenches i guess, got more than i can use now but they feel great in hand and have good tolerances. Hope y'all have a great new Year's.
Probably the most interesting set of recommended tools that I’ve watched and I watch a lot. I’m shooting for those Milwaukee pliers. I like Nepro’s tools also.
I have everything Milwaukee makes, but I tried the dewalt 921b and it’s amazing, has size of m12 stubby with the power of a mid torque. I never use my m12 stubby now.
I got that Snap On zero offset dbl box end flex head reversible ratcheting wrench set (that’s a mouthful) for Christmas. Gorgeous wrenches, but I had to send in 4 of the 5 for warranty due to floppy heads (wasn’t able to tighten) and a loose mechanism in the head of one. The replacements are on backorder until Feb. The rep surmised they are sorting out some of these QC issues with the first batch and the second batch in Feb should be up to Snap On’s standards, at which point you will see them back on the site and the trucks.
Those are the same as the mac ones right? Managed to get a set of the mac pliers from my mac distributor because someone ordered them and never ever picked them up😂
Hello @MrSubaru1387 Do you have a decent alternative to this set 13 pc 3/8" Drive 12-Point Metric Ratcheting Crowfoot Wrench Set (8-19 mm) (Blue-Point®) Thanks!
Amazing tools and amazing video, but dam that's a lotta money for tools! I don't wrench professionally, but I do enough on our own cars, computer, home, mowers, chainsaws... that I appreciate having the right tool for a given job when I need it!
What scan tool would you recommend for a weekend mechanic working on his own cars? I have a VW and a Honda. I like the xtool d7/d7s. I also like the artidiag 900bt based on your review.
Great videos! Thought I’d share to make your life a bit easier and let you know on the later cvt transmissions with the exhaust running on the driver side the fill/check plug is moved to passenger side according to the Subaru manual.
Are the USAG similar to the craftsman overdrive? I own the SAE set of craftsman wrenches and they looked very similar. Thanks for the great content also!!
The m12 high speed long neck has to be my #1 of the year. I was thinking about the insider, but I was hesitant without being able to put my hands on one
Drill bits (drills) are machinist tools. NEVER buy tool truck brand drills. They are a waste. McMaster brand are going to be better every time. Get HSS and buy once cry once. They will last several lifetimes for mechanics. Chicago Latrobe, Vermont American, and Viking are the best. They are worth the cost and still are cheaper than the matco trash

Too funny 😂
Would even funnier if your co-worker is female.
That’s bullshit. You know you’re the only one who works for him.
No shame in torturing your employer bro.

Thanks friend !!
Great video.
Thank you for all of the tool research that you do!
You're welcome!
Thanks for sharing your results and the tool links . Have a Great 2024 !
That was beautiful and so was the dad advice that was next level
That light looks identical to the ICON one I impulse bought. Said ICON light has thoroughly impressed me
Same, I'm also pretty impressed with them, just wish they had 2 flex points for more angle options.

Cleanest set of hands I’ve seen in 25yrs of wrenching 🤔

When I was a Mercedes diesel tech, we got the redline smoke machine. I loved it. Finding boost leaks and exhaust leaks was easy with it.
i really appreciate your videos. They have helped me lot.
You highlighted some amazing tools on this one!
I have the Craftsman Overdrive metric wrench set. Extremely impressed.
And got the Grip Edge 1/4 metric hex set today. What a great little set! Still costly but much less than the MAC!
I love the Snappy double ratcheting wrenches, best backdrag ever!
THey better be for $800

Well done, thanks..!

The Snapon pliers are just better, and if you’re spending Snapon money on a tool make it a tool you use all the time like those pliers.

What model?
Those Knkuts look very similar to the Norseman Vortex. The Vortex have been great, everyone loves them that uses them.
Cornwell Z series ratchet are made in USA due to the logo has a deep eching. Non USA ones have laser eching only.

Wow !
Damn, I got socks for Christmas…
Snap On should give everyone a partial refund who bought these and had that issue, and had to wait until February for replacements. That's crap.
You forgot Lyle's wiring harness connector pliers
Big oooof 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️So many good ones this year!

I love love LOVE the insider electric ratchet. However we really need an extension for it. When last I checked there still wasn't one available.

Sir... what size jack stand to use on 2004 forester x ? Pls help
there are different points to use a stand depending on job or height needed ,15" ?
I normally work with 6 Ton stands, overkill, I know.
@@MrSubaru1387 thank you sir... But I just placed an order for 3ton stands. Hope that's okay for front suspension ball joint replacement.
Great video! have you used any of the iCarsoft scan tools? love to hear a comparison
Not yet!
Any inexpensive scan tools that can do simple dyi things like brakes and transmission relearn for 2024 models?
That looks identical to the icon folding light, the uv is cool
@mrsubaru1387 which torque wrenches do you recommend I have a 03 outback station wagon 2.5L EJ251 I want to order a smaller one and a longer one.
What kind of camera do you use? Very clear !
iPhone 15 Pro MAX.
Have you tried the gear wrench XL flex head ratchet wrenches? Super long and not too expensive.
I haven't.
Great videos! Thought I’d share to make your life a bit easier and let you know on the later cvt transmissions with the exhaust running on the driver side the fill/check plug is moved to passenger side according to the Subaru manual.
RIght, later the manual has stated this. The first years of the change, they still indicated in the FSM to use the driver's side plug.
If you like the Milwaukeee impact you really need to try out the Hercules 3/4 and 1/2 inch impact.Mind blowing power
Can't seem to find those sockets. No link in description?
Please make one video just for the scanner diagnostic
Happy New Year Sir🎉🥂 keep making awesome content 👌👍
Happy New Years!
I like koken stuff, but what's the point of having a shallow socket combined w the extra length of the swivel base?
Mr Subaru.. I have a product of the year for you 2024.. get you some HD video Glasses or at least a go pro lol. Opening w one hand 😂
Gopros are garbage. Had at least 6 of them. Video quality is always meh.

Link to the vessel ratcheting driver please?.
linked in description and on screen links
Tjose USAG wrenches are great, but only a 2 year warranty. I think you need to buy the Mac version to get a lifetime warranty.
Did you get the Cornwell from Tyrone?
Knkut makes the Matco drill bits correct?
No. VIM makes the Matco bits, Taiwan sourced, not USA
No. Astro in China. The hypersteps.
HELP. can’t find 1/4” koken in this video w/that spin wheel. Do you have an item number. Thanks
The thumb wheel is sold separately. kokenusa.com/products/z-series-1-4-sq-dr-quick-spinner

The new Mac ratchets have a suspiciouly similar locking flex head design to that gearwrench ratchet. Specifically MR990LFPA
What’s the best impact wrench for cheap in 2024?
Are the USAG similar to the craftsman overdrive? I own the SAE set of craftsman wrenches and they looked very similar. Thanks for the great content also!!
The USAG and MAC versions have an extra tooth in the open end and the beam/handle is wider, smoother, and more comfortable.
