“I wouldn’t have to if you weren’t so mean to me” the parents being super nice and caring-
Of course, but sometimes we don’t always see things the way they really are. And the weird thing is it can be so easy to miss the big picture
This hurts me, I ran away a few months ago because my mom was yelling at me so I ran out of the house while my mom was chasing me but the stone gate was broken, so I crawled through it so I can leave my neighborhood, my mom was calling me for like 45 minutes and my neighbor called the cops and was trying to keep my mom calm, luckily I met up with a friend that lived a couple blocks away from me he was talking to me, and next thing I know I see a sheriff helicopter, so my friend walks me back home and we both saw like 5 police cars, and I saw my mom crying really hard and she hugs me and says "don't ever do that again I love you very much". And I regret what I did. I will never do it again, because it didn't only hurt me, but it hurt so many others.
You did the right thing though, sometimes you have to hurt someone so they understand their mistake

I’d never even think about running away, family is too precious and I would hate to lose it.
Amazing message! Running away is only an option if your parents actually do not care and you are being abused. I know being in a South Asian family you would get smacked if you ran away then came back home because that behavior is not tolerated but they do that out of caring. Never do something you'll regret.
Fr idk why American parents are so nice and their kids call them “strict” 😭? And they just give them £100 allowance and if they don’t they are mean? My Balkan mother would beat me to death

2 things:
1)this video doesn’t depict nearly everything that a runaway child would have to endure, but still does a good job touching on the ones that it showed like finding a place to sleep, being robbed, and feeling lonely/depressed
2)if you want to runaway because you feel you aren’t safe at home, I strongly recommend you wait at least a week to think it over before doing so. It’s a life changing decision that should be given some time. If it’s something like an abusive family or not feeling safe at home in general call the police or CPS because it’s not worth risking your life running away when there r other options as well. In this video it shows how much parents would love and miss you if you ran away but it isn’t always the case and there are so many repercussions that can happen in the aftermath of running away. Please take precautions upon precautions and if you really want to run away after the week of thinking it through make sure you find a good place to sleep where you aren’t trespassing and have as much food water and money as possible. Please please please be safe!
edit: also this video is only showing that running away is something you should never do, but that is far from the truth. it is something to definitely think over and over again about, but if you really really can't find a better option then it's a possible life-saving action that can also be a bit beneficial in the future. but ig in this case of just having a little argument with parents over money and hanging out with friends one night, you should never jump to conclusions, especially of running away, and especially if your life is not in immediate danger with your guardians or other people living with you.
Yes, but it's valid if you don't have the best relationship with your parents. Like that girl's parents were strict, and it's not good to be too strict. I can see that it's affecting her. Why doesn't she have a conversation with her parents or talk to a trusted adult?
@@justrandomthings112 yes, i definitely agree. you should definitely try to exhaust other options before running away!👍👍
@@alexnovahickman316 Yes, running away is the last option. Communication is important, talk to them. Talk about what you want and try to compromise. But however, that won't always work because it's up to that person, you can't change other people or you might be scared of how they might react or what problems it might cause. You can also keep records if it abuse and if you think it's safe to do so, so you can report it. But however, relationships can be complicated, there might be more than one side to things, there might be different opinions or perspectives, there might be causes for problems, relationships can change, etc. And also only physical abuse is illegal and only if it's serious and a lot of people don't speak up because they might be scared or can be scared. It excludes lighter physical abuse, other forms of abuse, it's not illegal for parents to be strict or not get their children what they want, and it excludes other forms of family issues/problems, etc.
(Forgive my broken english its my third language) Yes sometimes kids run away for stupid reasons but i feel like people should focus making serious cases of run aways more cause i feel like thats mostly the case, i ran away once on impulse it was because i felt suffocated in my home and sometimes like walking on eggshels my sibling suffers from a mental illness and says she doesnt wanna go to school so my mother and sibling often fought because of that also for years i felt unsafe around my sibling cause they would hurt me physically (nothing too bad just once stepped on my leg actually painfully and would slap me after an argument lightly but still did not feel safe cuz i knew she were stronger than me) i forgave my sibling for that + she was a kid and she appearently (she said) that she got influenced by our violent father
Everyone who wants to run away, don't do it. Your parents love you and you are blessed. If you have abusive or bad parents somehow, i'm sorry. Don't forget god loves you

Teens mostly run away from home because they have abusive/bad parents, but this is an example too!great video
Sadly, there are too many kids who are abused so they run away out of desperation; however, many kids experience that thing about thinking the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, until they get there and realize they had it pretty good at home.
Many kids will end up going back home, but many won’t. Too many parents use the fear of kids running away as an excuse to have no discipline for their kids.

Sometimes In life we lose heart when things don't work out the way we want but with God never leaves us
Listen kids, if there's one thing that this teaches you, it's that often times, you don't realize how good you have it until it's gone. Yes, some people unfortunately grow up in horrible households and situations, and they need the help of the community resources, police, etc. But if you have even a decent home with people who love you and you're cared for to a reasonable extent, don't throw that away. You're going to regret it. Be grateful

That's why many teens disappear because parents can't discipline their children.
ALMOST EVERY single parent, HAS the rule to have no devices at the table
