I'm in my room on the second story of the big country house my father built, it's a late summer night after diner and I'm done with all my chores, I get to enjoy this moment by myself. Outside my open window I can hear the frogs sing their nightly courting calls mixed in with the crickets. I'm playing TR Anniversary on my PSP with not a worry in the world. Times are good.
The fact that it sounds so good at such a slow speed speaks of how flawless a composer Nathan McCree is, and also of the mixing/recording quality of these pieces. It has such a strong unicity, vibes and personality that is difficult to find nowadays in games and even on cinema.
This is crazy as I just started getting into listening to "slow and reverbed" music. It almost makes it sound like completely different music when it's like this. Really like the TR2 theme, creepy and cool at the same time.
Lately I've been listening to a lots of slow and reverb music too, which inspired me to make this haha. It really does change the whole mood of the songs haha. i might upload more later :)
Recently got the remastered versions of TR 1-3. I've been playing my way through them and giggling to myself at the parts that used to stump me as a child. The games are timeless in my opinion, I just love the work that went into the puzzles, the crazy story lines, and the atmosphere that was brought to those games. This is a lovely homage to them, thank you for sharing.
This is incredible! It's almost otherworldly and I adore it to bits. You did such an amazing job here. Tomb Raider is one of my favorite franchises of all time.
