I love this game so much. It's my favorite one right after Tomb Raider 2. It means a lot to me and always brings me back to awesome days in my childhood. These slowed versions sound kinda bittersweet to me, like they're remembering me of a wonderful time in my life that will not get back, but no matter what I'm so grateful for it. Thank you for this video!
The music of Legend is the best, the electronic vibe mixed with the ancient sounding music goes so well it’s unreal, thx for the vid! I just wish you had the extended main theme instead of the standard one tho however.
I'm 34 and never played this game when I was younger but I love it. It's like Mirrors Edge to me - it has a pleasant tone, it's short and sweet, and fun. It's strangely unambitious but it does the few things it tries well. Succesful reboot. In my opinion the Lara from this game is the definitive take. They sanded down her mean edges and inconsistent behaviour and she is banging and athletic but not masculine - she is a fantasy character and works best as a cartoon-like character with PS2/PS3 graphics in my opinion. Like Robocop is a product of the 80s, Lara Croft was a product of her time and the new stuff is great but it's fundamentally different. Love TR Legend and the music is a great component.
I had TR2 and TRL at the same time for Christmas because I was noticed that I started being interested in Lara Croft by playing Legend Demo but now I prefer TR2 despite the fact that without Legend we'd never get my beloved Alister and Amanda but in TR2 Lara raided for ENJOYMENT while the Nepal level had Lara saying "this is ALWAYS what's been about"... referring for looking for Amelia. I know it's based on Angelina movies but the difference between Legend and this is that Angelara WAS a tombraider and the Legend-parent plot was just one of her trips while LAU artifacta revolved only around Richard and Himalayan crash *sigh*
I always took it as meaning "why we dig up the past, to understand it" Lara has always had a fascination with ancient artifacts, she raids tombs both for the excitement and to get to study the artifacts she finds.
Legend is my LEAST favourite TR game because of its "scripted" too-easy levels, endless talking a là NFS Payback and England&Nepal with Zip (oh god) the plot and Lara's running animations being an uncanny valley and how vehicle sequences were just an endless loop but at VERY least we had awesome Kazachstan, Amanda Evert (oh god I literally PICTURE Jonell voiceacting as her!) and my-crush Alister (he in TRU tho!!
Best Tomb Raider game with the most iconic, haunting soundtrack.
Legend is a legend... The best tomb raider.

Honestly, Legend is one of my favourites after AoD too haha, the soundtrack is perfect. This game was my childhood too haha
@@ligufaca Nice! Yeah, the soundtrack is just amazing. A shame the game was too short!
@Guilherme Martins why not?? :(
@Guilherme Martins the game is still available for PC through steam or gog. I'd say it's worth it, it runs well on most low end computers.
@Guilherme Martins I love the classics too. They're the best!
This is what heaven sounds like
