17 years ago,, I remember my wife and I got gas there, and, ate at the waffle house across the street, we were out shopping for her wedding dress,, she passed away this past november, but , I kept her dress.
@@WallieB26 great video as always, next time you're up this way look up Fostoria, OH.....It's abandoned Kmart has all signage remaining including one way up a couple hundred feet in the air to see from the highway....It's a smaller store, been around since at least the 80's and made it through the early Kmart closings and closed a couple years ago, also has a garden center i believe, and it's entire stip mall that abuts it has an abandoned grocery store as well as many emtpy stores, I believe the only occupants are Spectrum Cable and Rent a Center.
2:51 Invigorate is still the name used by BP for their detergent additives today! Notice it is still on the pumps/marketing next time you go to an operating BP. Invigorate was introduced by BP in 2008, so this store closed some time after 2008.
Oh wow! You were only 20 minutes south of where I live! I'm in Monroe Michigan you should come here and do the abandoned factory outlet outdoor mall or the abandoned target or the Monroe mall.
Abandonment is synonymous with Ohio...I live in Cbus and there's a ton of gentrification and restoration going on and we still have many abandoned places.
There's a BP that was built in Michigan at the Luna pier exit that never even opened! It looks like it was going to be a large truck stop and then they just never finished it.
Hey wallie, without giving too much detail, lets just say I live near this area and I'd be glad to meet up with you and possibly film a video with you if time prevails. I absolutely love your videos and I think it would be cool to be in one! Thanks wallie!
I can tell that was older gas station at one point because lot of new gas stations have new pumps and they have fancy screens on them and you don't find lot of those kinds pumps anymore and there is still gas stations out there that they still have them just not as many and plus I have BP gas station that's close to where I live that they use those kinds of pumps and they still are in today's world as and I am still seeing more gas stations using pumps with fancy screens don't get me wrong seeing those kinds of pumps is cool but I find really old pumps is even cooler I don't know why but I do tho and also thank you for showing this video that was awesome :)
welcome to the club kid. You wanna see a real old BP station, look for ones that still has the old sign. looks like a green interstate logo with BP in the middle. Then we're talkin...
@@ChiralSpirals Yeah I have been hearing from my Dad that real gas station gas pumps don't have pay station workers has to be out there and you have to pay workers to get gas and they gave some gas for you and pumps were smaller back then that's why I said I find real old gas pumps awesome again I don't know why I find them awesome there is nothing special about them but I do anyways least in my case :)
That is a very old BP and dates to the 1990s. Based on the building shape, this may have started out as a Sohio before BP bought them out. If not Sohio, it definitely had BP’s older shield logo before the current Invigorate imaging.
So that is 9 years before I was born because I was born in 1999 so that is closer to year what I was born I know it is not real close but it is not to far off either but that is awesome to hear that and thank you for sharing that info :)
Pronounced Maw-me (stress on second syllable). You are in Toledo proper though (the Turnpike is the city line with Maumee) That stretch of Reynolds Road has been hurting for years. They finally redeveloped Southwyck Mall a bit north of your location by building an Amazon facility.
Wallie, awesome and cool abandoned bp gas station! I'd give anything to video a place like that. I used to win hundreds on our scratch offs but, Oklahoma fixed that where I can't anymore. Really enjoyed your video.
Nothing like another classic abandoned gas station video, weird how its closed like that next to everything else that seems alive while this remains completely dead.
Your not from a round hear are you! For clarification, your at the corner Reynolds/Heatherdowns Rd. Your In Toledo not Maumee. It's pronounced Maw-me. Lmao.
Lol the way you pronounce Maumee is great
👍👍 For the Bee Friend and video!

Awesome 👌 video
Wow a hills hat!

From what Google Maps shows, it stopped being BP around 2014-2015, but the convenience store remained a tad bit longer.

I am from a small town in Ohio and you'd be surprised how many places look just like this one... sad...

Happy New Year Wallie
Bell store bought our local Ohio BP about an hour from Toledo. It's really nice. Love the Hills toboggan! Subbed
Still haven't made it to the Maumee antique mall yet
What a mess! A former gas station at maroons former home Toledo.
That hills hat brings the aroma of fresh popcorn from when they opened as Ames and I was there often as a kid. Man. I’m old.
hello wallie
Your videos like this are so nostalgic.
Glad you did a gas station ⛽👍
I can remember when the Hawthorne Bicycle Company was home based out of Toledo Ohio that was entirely different world then bye-bye American Pie
wonder if there is any old fuel down in those underground containers.

Abandonment is synonymous with Ohio...I live in Cbus and there's a ton of gentrification and restoration going on and we still have many abandoned places.
My hometown! I know where that is, lol. I live near The Toledo Express Airport in Swanton, Ohio. Cool!
There's a BP that was built in Michigan at the Luna pier exit that never even opened! It looks like it was going to be a large truck stop and then they just never finished it.
Ok. Do you realize??? The old Hill's building is less than a 15 minute walk from this location. It is n9w an Antique mall.
Goodvideo

@@paul-roblox5174 You are very welcome!
Good video! You don't see to many abandoned BP gas stations! This one is in really rough shape too!
Damn your lucky one time me and my ex bought 5 1 dollar scratch offs. And didn’t win anything until the 5th one and I won 5 bucks just to break even.
Wonderful wallie
Maybe I need to get over to PA and get me some scratch off Tickets, because in Ohio I am not very lucky lol. Awesome Gas station explore.

Toledo home if Tony packo's they mention it mash where jamie farr is from
That is a pretty small store.
I stopped liking BP when Speedway started giving me free gift cards. Speedway in Waterville even gives free food while you fill up in gas.
“Mowmee”. Lololol
Right in my home town. Pretty much all the bps in toledo are abandoned exept for a few.theres alot of other abandoned gas stations in toledo too
Nothing like another classic abandoned gas station video, weird how its closed like that next to everything else that seems alive while this remains completely dead.
Cool if it gonna stay forever ♾, that means I could’ve make abandoned videos.
Good video keep making more new videos 👍
