Thanks for posting the video, I found it helpful with the install in my 2019 ranger, though have been (intermittently) having issues with 'fast flashing' (of the dashboard indicator lights) when indicating left or right. I have reviewed my wiring and confirmed teh diode is installed in the correct orientation, and that my pickup is after it. Mine is a 2019 Australian XLT Ranger with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) & Adaptive Cruise control.
Further reading leads me to believe this model does require the special filter component included in the $300 AUD TPWKIT-012 kit (see link, small red package goes in-line with red wire at the controller). I thought I'd point this out for others so you can malke an informed decision before trying to install without the kit...
If you have any further advice / info on the filter circuitry I would love to hear it before I buy the kit.

Thank you for the feedback. If you have AED cruise control you normally need to pick up the brake light trigger from the trailer socket. This will stop ‘ hyper flashing’ from the indicators. But on some of the later models you do require the wiring harness with module as you’ve listed. I have found that 1 in 10 installs require the harness which makes it difficult to decide. Really weird?

@@vesautoelectrics Hey Mate great video! Im going to do mine but a little confused as you said at end of vid that if you Do have AEB to pick it up back at the trailer socket and use diode-OK. But on this comment you also said if you Do have AEB to pick up at the brake pedal switch? That must be a misprint is it? Cheers

Hi, yes sorry my miskate, it’s a misprint. Yes if you have AED then pick up is at the trailer plug. But there has been instances where intermittent hyder flashing still occurs.

@@vesautoelectrics hey mate also just wanted to add/ask about the wire sizes you said you used in the video, in the instruction book it says blue (3.00mm), red (1.25mm). Did you use 5mm and 3mm as you stated or did you match the size of the wires on the plug?
      Thanks 👍

Hi, i always use 5mm blue (good for upto 30amp) for the electric brake supply (pin 5 ) as some controllers can pull upto 25amps and also using larger cable reduces voltage drop. And out of habit i use 3mm red for brake trigger ( cable size can be smaller as it’s only a trigger).
