Install one of these whole system in the 200 series with the wiring harness from redarc I've got 2 of the elite3 units . Redarc is by far the only thing I'll use coat hanger works best for the fire wall
@@DASHOffRoad what type of breaks? Most trailers just have mechanical breaks with cables. How would some eletrical device affect the trailers breaking?
Nice setup mate. So about how heavy is that trailer you are towing? I just got me a 2021 Navara (Frontier in Mexico). 2.5L Diesel. Some changes to the grill. Not a lot of change. I am looking at getting a tow hitch next. Specs say this truck could tow 3.5 Ton. Has me thinking when most class III hitches are rated for 6000 lbs only. Great looking truck! What size tires are you runing? 285/70R17?
Yea watching the video you uploaded i could see the trailer swirving some. Thats never a good feeling. Does your truck have leaf springs on rear? Mine has coil springs which I thought was a bit bizarre for the towing capacity stated by the manufacturer
Just noticed something that you might want to double check....in the video when you are under the back of the tub connecting the wiring loom, it looks like one of the bolts on your towbar is not done up properly. Hard to tell on my crappy computer, but the bolt nearest to the wiring plugs you connected (into the side of the chassis) appears to be near fully undone. Not sure if this may be because you have undone/removed something for the purpose of filming, or whether it may have been missed when the towbar was installed. Cheers mate, and even some of us Toyota owners like watching your videos. Keep up the great work.
You have a very keen eye there. Actually the tow bar is a prototype that I was mucking around with at the same time. It comes off tomorrow for the next model to be bolted up 👍. Secretly, I do like Land Cruisers too 🤫

excellent video mate, I also have a NP300. It helped a lot. Cheers, Grant.

1 minute into the video and i liked and subbed. Great work!
I love tow pros Dave Im onto my 4th one, (4 different trucks) Good clip mate. Stay safe. Cheers Steve
all well and good except redarc no longer does wiring harnesses to suit an np300, its now universal
Any tips to remove the dash panel where you mounted the unit?
I almost didn't buy because I would have preferred an Ethernet cable too.
How does it break the actual trailer? Is there another unit which goes on the trailer? And does it have an electronic actuator?
It’s assumed that your trailer already has brakes

Hey mate. How does the Nav tow that van.
I’ll let you know, haven’t had the opportunity yet
Not any were as good as the y62 grunt machine 😁😁😁😁😁
Hey mate love the video !!
Just wondering do you need to buy any extra bits for the np300 or does the kit come completely ready to go ?
You need to buy the loom too ☺️
@@DASHOffRoad where did you buy this loom from?
redarc no longer do them by the looks
I get the impression you're a fan of Redarc mate.
Yeah I like there brake controllers and DCBC chargers. Good SA Company 👌
He's comprehensively comprehensive about the comprehensiveness of this comprehensive unit.
