Sadly, the Davis County Sheriff's Office will be ending their paramedic program on January 1, 2023, after 45 years of service. I worked with some of the medics in this video a few years before this volunteering on the South Davis Fire District ambulance. Good to see the old classic, the Lifepak 5 defibrillator. This episode premiered while I was a 911 dispatcher for the State of Utah. Clyde Jackson was an assistant principal at Woods Cross High School when I graduated. A nice trip down memory lane.
There’s a lot of peer pressure in high school and teenagers doing dumb things just to fit in with their peers. I’m so glad that Greg is telling his story to perhaps prevent another teenager from dying do to Scotch Guard & Butane inhalation. Our Heavenly Father saved Greg’s life for a special reason.
I'm happy Greg survived. Although i feel bad the students had to witness the medics shocking Greg , think the students learned an important lesson on how doing drugs can do to you.

I almost ODed on this stuff years back...the chemical causes your heart to stop sending the right kind of hemoglobin (the blood cells that transport oxygen) and so all over your body you get oxygen deprivation. A month in the hospital - a week of that on a ventilator - and I swore off that stuff for good. Wish I'd seen this video first...
