Hi. I just bought this and i love it!! I haven't played piano for very long so it's a bit hard for me. I have a little trouble playing the parts with the octaves. I can hit the right notes with the thumb but my littlefinger goes everywhere.. Do you have some good advice? My hands are quite big so i can't just stretch them out as much as possible because then i hit more than an octav.
Thanks! I'm afraid I don't have a really good advice. Having big hands is better thant having small hands to play piano, so I guess it will come with practice :)

Because though the sound we hear is extended but when I rest my foot pressed the sound is extended too long compared to the video.

Hey Symbiose. Im about to buy my first piano after having a few lessons from my girlfriend at reading notes and hand positioning, it seems so much fun. I was wondering, what do you think of teaching yourself piano? Is it unwise? I aim to play pieces such as these.
Having lessons from a teacher does help a lot, but you can certainly get better by yourself. I think the most important thing is not whether or not you have a teacher, but how much you practice by yourself.
Symbiose Piano true! Teachers are very helpful. But I teached it myself and actually its funny becuz i play better than 2 others in my class which are taking lessons since 3 years xD but i would say its harder. More hard than with a teacher at least. But if u start easy and u have much motivation its huge fun! At least this is my experience ;)
HochosCraftingTable Its all in the practice mate. I'm not sure if your familiar with grades and such but i'm doing my sixth grade course this year. The key to succeeding is just practice, consistency and motivation. If you have these 3 things it will bring you along just fine. I started playing with a piano teacher (which is my cousin). I personally think it would be easier with a teacher just to teach you the ropes and the basic stuff that will eventually span off into more and more complex things. Teaching yourself may be a little bit harder and will take more time, but its still possible, just takes a lot more patience.

Je suis désolé de faire de la mauvais pub mais j'ai acheté la partition et ce n'est pas exactement ce que tu joue, des fois, tu monte des octaves qui ne sont pas sur la partition. Et pour la pédale, je n'arrive pas à entendre si tu l'utilise ou pas (il n'y a pas de pédale sur la partition). Je suis actuellement en train de le travailler avec mon prof de piano. Ce que tu fais est génial (je ne te reproche que quelques petits détails, continue comme ça ! Et si tu peut me répondre, j'en serai ravi ^^
En fait si, la partition est exactement ce que je joue ^^ Les changements d'octaves sont indiqués sur la partition par une ligne pointillée avec la mention "8va" qui signifie qu'il faut jouer un octave plus haut ou plus bas suivant la position de cette ligne pointillée :)
Il n'y a que écrit 8va, sans rien d'autre, est-ce normal ? (En tout cas merci bcp pour ta réponse)
Ah, peut-être que la ligne pointillée est mal passée à l'impression ? Est-ce que la ligne apparaît dans le PDF sur l'ordinateur, ou c'est pas le cas non plus ?
+Symbiose Piano J'ai aussi acheté la partition et je confirme : en PDF, la ligne pointillée apparaît mais pas à l'impression (je l'ai donc tracée à la main).
Sur ces questions de notes à l'octave, il y a quelque chose qui m'embête quant à la dernière note jouée en octave inférieure, en regardant clef de Fa et clef de Sol : dans les mesures 8 et 12, la première note en clef de Sol est censée être à l'octave inférieure et donc... être déjà jouée par la main gauche en clef de Fa au même moment ! J'ai regardé attentivement ta vidéo et, pour ces premières notes de ces mesures, c'est bien ta main droite qui joue la note alors que la main gauche n'en joue qu'une et pas deux en même temps (en clair : mesure 8, le Ré est joué en clef de Sol et pas en clef de Fa ; mesure 12 : le Do est joué en clef de Sol et pas en clef de Fa).
Bien que je sois un autodidacte en piano, il y a donc deux notes en trop sur la partition (et si c'est parce que je n'ai pas compris quelque chose en solfège, je suis preneur de l'explication ! :-) )
+Guy Portail Effectivement, parfois, les notes de la mélodie principale jouée avec la main droite empiètent sur les accords joués avec la main gauche. Dans ces cas là, une même note peut apparaître sur la clef de Fa, et sur la clef de Sol. Cela permet de pouvoir jouer une portée indépendamment de l'autre, par exemple. Du coup on peut jouer la note soit avec la main gauche, soit avec la main droite. Mais dans tous les cas, il m'arrive régulièrement de jouer des notes de la clef de Fa avec la main droite si je trouve cela plus simple :)
