    Discovered your channel a few days ago. One of my favorite cycling TH-camrs is Francis Cade and I wished for a Filipino Vlogger to somewhat have the same kind of editing and "feel" but have their own unique approach of course. Subbed!

    Love cycling and share in you and your gravel buds' joy. Stopped to check site, read a national gravel race was won on 32's, still trying to come to grips with that. Built my first gravel bike just at the start of covid, road frame and 32's were max size, even then I had to grind the back of the front derailleur mount to fit the 32's. Second attempt at a gravel bike, was a cross conversion, still my 38-40 Vittoria Torrinos wouldn't fit. Trying to buy a real gravel bike, still nothing in my size, the bike market here still hasn't fully recovered from covid. I subscribed, keep smiling, and sharing, I am hooked.

      @carlovillarica  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you john! I appreciate the subscription. The bikes will be back in no time. Over here, there are more and more bikes for sale. Also you might want to look at the second market. Lots of people bought bikes that they aren't using anymore.

    Man, those are relatively smooth tires for those gravel roads ahahah! Yeah, for those roads, a 700 x 40 cc is a must lol!
    Thank you for the content, If there's a GCN channel in the Philippines, I would want it to be like this~ Ride Safe :)

    Hi guys pls halp, im opting on getting gk ss 35c or gk ss 38c i ride 1-2 each day on a 70/30 pavement, 30% being rough pavement and light gravel. Welp idont even know if my spanker lester r5 gravel bike wheels supports tubeless panaracer's.

      if you are a new rider, best to go with a wide tire. Then get a feel for it. You can always size down if you feel like the tire is too big

    @gabrielmarias972 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Great ride! Looks like you could donit with 32 tires? Your mates ride wider tires? Will like to see you with a 32 but more all round knobs to have some more traction and grip.
    Thx

    • @carlovillarica
      @carlovillarica  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! I just happen to be using the 32s because we did a very long road ride. For offroad stuff, I would prefer wider.

    im using Kenda Kwicktrak 32c and it is fast with grip on my gravel rides.
    it is faster than my 40c, does the job well.. and the best part is, it is CHEAP!
    still contemplating to try 35 or 38.

    • @carlovillarica
      @carlovillarica  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It really depends on how comfortable you are offroad and how gnarly your offroad sections are. The less skill and more gnarly the offroad, I would go wider. Maybe 700x40. But if you are confident in your handling abilities, 28 is ok. I would personally go a little wider. Maybe 32
