An easy way spot fakes or prop money is to look at the face. The face should be sharp, life like and almost kind 'pop out' if you will. Its a reason they put faces on money, because us humans are very good at noticing the differences in faces. Once you see the flatness and dullness of a fake, most of them are pretty easy to spot.

I like how he gets all nostalgic about how he grew up with the older 100 bill. In reality, the one he refers to was only made for a few years and the 100 from back in the day had the small portrait of Franklin on it. So, NO! This guy did not grow up with the older 100’s he’s showing. This guy should be selling extended warranties for cars.
As a cashier, I think these are painfully obvious. If someone tried to hand these to me I’d probably laugh before even seeing the “REPLICA” on it. The security features are obviously missing and when you work with money as much as I do, the discoloration is very obvious.
100% agree- I remember catching a fake $100 and as soon as it touched my hand I knew it was fake. Even had a goofy Benjamin watermark drawn between two sheets of thin paper and a security strip that looked like scribbles. But yea feeling and slight discoloration confirmed it in moments

I highly doubt that. No way on earth would a military facility allow that much cash to be laying around let alone unguarded on someone’s desk. In banks if someone even walks in with that amount of money they would legitimately kick everyone out of the bank and lock it down because they consider that a huge safety and finical risk. That amount of cash would have to be constantly transported by armored vehicles or at least multiple guards if it was in cash.

It is a shame that it is not the same size.
You could have put a real bill on top and bottom of each wrap.
You can easily trim the margins to get it to the correct size. doesn't take too long if you have one of those paper trimmers. Then you mix in your real money on top and bottom, and even some in the middle if you want. Makes for a realistic looking stack. Plus there are easy ways to age the fake money to make it even more realistic looking, but of course it will always feel fake.

Unpopular opinion: the government needs to make prop money as real as this illegal to manufacture. As a cashier I can attest to money like this ending up in circulation being a very real problem, in recent years its become very common for bills like these to be passed out to people, with many people not even realizing they've been handed one or are committing a crime by spending it, then the person who notices it is the one who eats it. I understand prop money is needed for movies and such, but they need to make it so the prop bills are blaringly obvious as fakes, there are just far to many people who don't pay attention to small details.

Real US currency is rag paper. It has a lot of cotton in it, which is why it generally is not ruined if you leave it in your pocket and put it thru the wash. Fun fact: the rags used to be largely denim scraps from the blue jean industry, but blue jeans are now made with a lot of elastic thread, which is not suitable for recycling into rag paper.
