So if building is already in place and you're experiencing dampness how can this be resolved?

There are surface treatments available on the market. Injection of chemicals or cutting through the wall and inserting a dpc in there by an expert is the best solution. Tiles and stones cover the problem but doesn't stop the dampness.

Thanks for sharing...damp proofing is very, very important...I think it should also be applied to the border wall.
