I couldn't make myself watch it for a month (had the tab open the entire time) cuz I knew that feeding my brain so much gold and wisdom would be overwhelming and send me into sensory overload. I am done watching it now. It did exactly as I expected it would. Gold, pure gold. These guys are all legends and these analogies, these ways of perceiving the world around them is astonishing. Thank you for posting this conversation.
Hey Louis, what do you do to find balance in your life? Louis: Well if you play footage of a helicopter in slow motion, the propellars are still a blur.
root I just feel like their intentions aren’t great then. Instead, you know that Phinneas is a great producer and an artist could just be happy and live in the moment and be with him and make great music
Yannickmyk I’m serious I want a template from someone who is kind enough to share a very good template for recording vocals. Honestly though a soundgoodizer on all channels probably won’t even hurt at all lmaoooo

Double track, harmonies stacked for recording. High quality condenser mic in a treated room or vocal booth (Neumann U87/U47, Manley Reference C, Sony C800) into a decent preamp into an LA2A/CL1B compressor, 1176 compressor if you want a more aggressive vocal sound. Very carefully tune vocals in Melodyne for polished/pop stuff (or Autotune if you want the effect as a stylistic thing). When mixing, high pass the low end under 100-150Hz in a good EQ like Fabfilter Pro Q. Use a plate reverb and hall reverb on two separate sends, then maybe a delay send at 1/8 or 1/4, send the vocal to those and mix to taste. That's a tried and tested workflow and effect chain for vocals that many producers and engineers use but you can experiment and deviate from it a bit and add a bit more personal flavour.
Jesus Christ... asking for a shit load of changes for an album that’s supposed to come out in a few hours. And since he did it they will expect it again in the future!!
@@MrMaxSkorpion yeah, im sure there's at least a female engineer that is as good as them and she's not here, women are usually not talked about and not having any is sus
Finneas: “I love the sound of something when it’s not competing with something else” in an interview where he constantly cuts off and interrupts his peers 😂

Yall gotta do more!
Hey, here's a pizza you didn't order 😂🔥
16 minutes in and loving it! Thank you, guys!
36:54 It’s sad that people would approach Phinneas and be like “he can make me into Billie” when an artist should just want to be their unique self

root I’m not surprised. You’re right it’s the world we live in.
This deserves 18 million views and I haven’t even watched it yet.

Yeah not fair from them, but it showcased his strength, his adaptibility.
Lmao what da F was going on with fineas lol shame he looked uncomfortable. The last time he was chilled this time...
seems to me he's trying to hard to appear humble...he's the baddest dude on the planet right now. he should enjoy it.
herb cant help himself
No women engineers?
Are you kidding? These are three of the absolute best producers/mixers around right now.
