Wow Ben, thanks for your video and the very useful explanation 😍. I’m coming from Ableton with Push and I bought the Novation Circuit Tracks one month ago to have an instrument that I can easily bring with me. I really love the unpredictable possibilities that we can have from a “controlled randomisation” and these videos are very helpful to use instruments in a non-common way with great results! Go strong and have good music!
Thanks for the kind comment! glad you dug it, I would love to try out the push sometime, you are making me jealous 😂. But i’m glad that you found some use out of it! i also do really love the controlled randomness possibilities with this machine!
I really like how different your musical approach is to this device from many others. Truly ambient, with a little hint of some Jon Hassel. Keep up the fine work, and thanks for sharing.
Wow this really inspires me to get a Novation Circuit! Btw your video quality is amazing! Very professional, underrated! And I totally will become a patron once I get a sustainable income of money.
Thank you!!! And hey, always stay within your budget, esp with donating to me in any way. I’m a person with a job, so don’t ever feel like any of that stuff is expected at this point, it’s more just thinking about how to build out the channel as it grows, if I need to dedicate more time and money to production. Absolutely the most meaningful thing to me, is people watching, and enjoying, anything financially is a bonus but never expected!
Thanks for taking the time to upload your work. It's inspirational. I'm sat here with the audio version of writers block. Thinking I might need to get a microfreak or another synth that I can get a more traditional bass sound.
Sorry for taking a whole month to respond… glad you enjoy my stuff! As for a traditional bass sound, I can empathize with that. Maybe try the dreadbox typhon, it’s a crazy mono synth that would probably be very inspiring!
Whoa - what the frack. That sounds amazing and first time out of hte box - Inever thought of using the circuit in that way. I just got my tracks late in the game but this completely adds a whole new dimension I never knew was available with this little device. It sounds so ambient and glitchy. Do have videos explaining how your thoughts lead to using devices like this? That was amazing - I have been watching synth/modular device videos for many years - and this just blew me away. First time using the device? DId you end up sticking with it ... wow - so jealous - I have to really work harder. Thanks for sharing - I have a lot to learn.
Hey, thanks so much! I did just use factory patches, they put a lot of flexibility into all of them, so it is really fun to work with and tweak. Lots of room for happy accidents
Thanks so much! I actually don’t yet, I’m not the greatest with designing presets for this machine yet, but I really want to get better at it. Maybe I will set something up like that in the future. For now, I am just using stock sounds, and tweaking them a bit (closing the filter, longer decay in the envelope, etc). I did just buy the red means recording pack, and that has some wonderful techno sounds on it!
🙌❤️
😱😱😱 thanks for taking a look at the video!!! I hope someone at novation thought it was cool! Thanks for making a killer little machine!
I thought I was getting a Circuit Tracks to put my ambient project to bed, but I think this video just inspired me to keep it awake a little longer
finally tried ambient/experimental for the first time and im really proud of what i made . Thank you for inspiring me

Peter Gabriel nods in approval.

Thanks so much! Also, glad that ambient is a verb now, haha!

I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.
I’m getting an OG circuit soon and I’m hoping I can take some pointers from here and go with it. Love this stuff

Sounded great!
very dope
This is so great! Can’t believe what can be done with the box. Do you have any packs for sale with projects like this?
