Doom in ow2 beta was literally the only thing I was excited about in ow2. This just killed it for me. Hopefully they see reason and revert the changes but god damn.

Even Mercy has techs 🤣 and now they've decided to include them as default abilities because the devs said something like "her super-jump tech is not a secret anymore so we want everybody to be able to use it" :D For sure, Doom techs were only secrets and dirty hacks (right? xD) that needed to be removed and the best way to do that was to change him to a tank hero. Poor Dambe fighter... His fist has never been so weak! lol
All I played in the beta was doomtank. I put over 50 hours into him in the beta. The fact that they removed these tecs makes me very unhappy. All this change does is nerf him again. Why in the world do they keep nerfing him??????? It seems like who ever is running the balance changed now genuinely hates doom fist. I really hope you are able to use your voice as the head doom in this community to make some change. Good luck brother. Hopefully doom gets these tecs back again.
seeing this absolutely crushed me as a doom player. I was so excited to play doom tank with the new skill ceiling and movement. I was angry that they removed the cc because the whole point of moving doom to tank was to keep his cc. They even nerfed his tanking abilities as well..... now this??? This is too far. This NEEDS to be reverted, this kills the hero in its entirety. Doom tank now isn't even close to doom dps. Whoever is behind the balancing is straight up trolling... they have to be.

Doomfist in OW1 is the most unique FPS experience I’ve ever had. His skill set is so unique that it felt like mastering an art. I mean, who else can perform combos in an FPS game? The choice between using abilities offensively or for positioning with rollouts it’s always so exciting and his powerful melee style made the game feel so personal. Instead of shooting bullets, you felt like you were the bullet. Tank doom takes everything that I love about the hero away. I was so surprised about how many people said they liked this new doom for his movement, and so I had some hope, but now it looks like a pipe dream. I’ll never be able to perform the art of DPS doom again and there’s no equal anywhere. Tank doom was a big red flag for me to begin with, and it just keeps getting worse
exactly what i feel. his 3 abilities in OW1 just worked perfectly together whereas i feel that his ones in OW2 don’t offer the same value when used together. it’s an entirely new hero because what made doomfist doomfist was being able to get value out of learning the hero back to front and doing techs and now that that can’t be done the skill ceiling is now too low and the hero should literally be renamed at this point

That is because is the most retarded hero in OW1 and one of the reasons why is not fun to play Overwatch anymore. Along side with other stun/knockback abilities of other heroes, Doomfist was the most problematic with his damage, Doomfist only need to see you to practically destroy you with one rockect punch even if you are a tank you can't do a shit againts him. Doomfist is fun to play, that is a fact but is not fun to play againts. In the moment he punch you and mostly probably kill you, He flee into the air like a fucking bird to escape to a safe zone. And even he has a shield for what ever reason...
it really sucks for people who spent hundreds of hours perfecting their skill on Doom just for Blizzard to completely brick the character in the sequel. Especially when your brand as a streamer revolves around that character,

His Slam doesn´t even work completely like a Winston Leap because Winston´s leap at least does boop enemies to the side a bit while Doomfist´s slam only deals damage. I´d hope they would give his slam some CC whatever it would be.
@@cute-fist8629 As far as I know it does 50HP damage. To be fair it always does the same amount of damage compared to Winston´s leap but why not add something else to it? If he´s supposed to be like Wrecking Ball who disrupts the enemy DF could use some more CC.

this is honestly so demotivating. Doomfist was by FAR the character i had the most fun with in OW 1. i never popped off like i did when playing him, and im sure many of us share the same sentiment. its such a fucking shame, man. who are we supposed to play now??? 😭😭😭

Played him in the beta, loved Tank Doom. Studied up on guides and techs, pulling it all off was a fulfilling experience. Genuinely a massive let down as they purposefully killed the hero I was most looking forward to in Overwatch 2. Excitement for the game just took a massive hit.

Wow. That's very, very sad. The ONLY defense I had for tank Doomfist was his unique movement. You could still do so much with him even if old tech was gone. But now, you're right. He's just a Winston jump. This is a sad, sad change to see. Doomfist should either do a lot of damage (DPS) or have a ton of movement (tank), now he has neither. Thank you for ripping into them this video, I remember back when the beta came out people said streamers were hyping Overwatch 2 for no reason and would always support Blizzard. I remember some people saying tank doom was garbage and you were excited to show different tech's with him. Now it's all removed, bash Blizzard. Ridiculous.

well that seals it. i loved playing DF in OW1 and was apprehensive but OK with becoming a tank in OW2. OW2 beta was fine for me on DF but not amazing. Now i guess i'll just be a support main :/

The lore was he could level a sky scraper...now he is Ticklefist. Doom was the most fun I've had in any game in years. While Tankfist can be fun, lacks the staying power of other tanks. Fix it Blizzard. Give us back upper cut and put force block as a double trigger action
The moment they removed slow from his slam I knew this was coming. They wont take their time to fix super punch bug (no stun) which already exists in OW1 but they have all the time to destroy one of the most high skill based characters which arent too many in OW.. lets go guys it takes 1 anna nade to switch ur hero now
Anti heal is just way too strong for a simple ability cd. That kind of stuff needs to be ultimate only stuff or atleast on a very long cd otherwise it will always destroy any tank without a shield. Same goes for zen orb.
This is what i was afraid of for the first time i saw doom rework. Simplyfing heroe's mechanics doesnt mean its getting better. When the skill celling drops, we face something, that happened to cass, brig, bap. Its straight up just boring.
Words cannot describe how much i despise blizzard for ruining this hero. genuinely the only hero in this game that clicked with me naturally and now he's shell of his former self. I get it he was never perfect or balanced in blizzard's vision but this was truly one of the most creative hero's I've played or seen in any multiplayer game tbh and it's shame that us doom mains will never feel that same happiness or dopamine rush that we got by playing dps doom.
I was hoping now that Goodman was gone Doom would finally be allowed to be viable… it’s crazy that Tank Doom has less techs AND CC than DPS Doom. What’s the point of moving him to tank when he has less CC than the DPS version? Turned the most fun/creative hero into a less useful Winston/Ball.
Ball has cool tech and has a high af skill ceiling. Even monkey has some techs, and has a pretty high skill ceiling esp during primal. The new doom looks like a sand bag that can jump, basically useless
@@nicoow2493 Yeah Ball and Monkey are heroes that I have a lot of playtime in so I was excited to exclusively run tank in OW2. I’m now less excited since there really doesn’t seem to be a reason to play Doom over those heroes as they are tankier, have comparable mobility and do more damage than he does.

@@nicoow2493 I actually have more playtime on Ball than I do Doom. Doom’s game sense translates really well with Ball and the understanding of map geometry that you get by playing Doom is a plus too
I think a really good change for doom would be an augment on his melee. Everyone was pissed when he had a normal melee after he came out and now that zen has his kick we know they are open to it, so maybe have it do like a little extra damage and give it like a slow or something
He was the ONE character I was excited for in Overwatch 2! I even got his golden weapon in time for it... Dude, this is such a spit in the face that I don't even want to play this game anymore, what with the problems Overwatch 2 is already suffering from. Screw this. Feels like they are taking doom out of the game without "taking doom out of the game" firsty by making him tank as an excuse to nerf his damage into the ground, but tank doom was still fun with his mobility even if it's less than dps doom. Then now take away what was left of his mobility, he's just dead. More people complain about doom than love him. which is a shame hes one of only a few truly fun heroes in this game. They don't want overwatch to be a tech game, they want to migrate it towards being like valorant where abilities don't matter as much.
I already felt like the initial version of tank doom was a step in the wrong direction, although I acknowledge that I'm probably also in the minority for thinking so. The changes might have given him more movement, but it also dramatically lowered the skill ceiling for the movement. Seismic doing same amount of damage was also something I felt eh about. It required game sense and/or technical skill to set up a good slam. It was also about being good in finding the balance on when to do a max slam vs just a quick one. Now it doesn't matter, you might as well just seismic from the front. You could try and do it from behind to surprise, but there's no reason to do it from the skies anymore. End of an era. Oh well...
the problem i see with most BIG games is that when they are just getting popular, they release super fun and unique heroes, such as doom, but as the years go by, and as the mains discover new advaced techs, they always try to push the champ down to the same level as other champs, not realizing that it's not the champ that's op, it's the dedicated community that knows how to play him.
When I played Doom during the first beta, the stair slam and turn slam techs were the funnest parts of him. Having that mobility to juke out your opponents and feeling very unique compared to other tanks. Now my fear of him just feeling like Winston is coming true. 😮💨 Also, just by watching this video. Doomfist now looks very clunky then before.

In the first beta with his slowdown he was an A tier character who gave consistent value. For the 2cnd beta with no cc he was a D tier character and already the worst tank with just this change alone. There was no reason to remove these techs now considering he was already a high skill low reward character, but not he’s just a definite f tier

The overwatch team is not just shooting themselves in the foot, they have just removed both their legs and are chopping up the severed legs into a million pieces

As a standard tank player that hated ow1 doom fist, I’m excited to learn this doom fist as I now don’t have to learn the Rock Paper Scissors tilt stair bunny hop slam into corner dragon punch ult combo and I can be good at just learning doom tank
While I don’t like Doomfist myself, this is very similar of how they killed Symmetra by basically making them not unique with their play styles anymore.
I don’t have any hope for ow2- the game is already getting trashed in reviews in progress by every reviewer so far. These devs keep snipers ultra mobile but Doom mobility gets gutted
I hate the new doomfist, he’s so boring and unfun. What is even the point of using his slam ability aside from getting shield health? He’s just a worse Hammond/Winston with the worst defensive tank ability in the game. I hate his guard ability so much, it has all the drawbacks that Sigma’s eat ability has with none of the benefits.

I played tank Doom in the OW2 beta, Doom is just so fuckin trash. Not tanky, no damage, no skills, not fun, he's like a weaker version of Winston in OW2. Hope they bring his uppercut back at least, or just make him OW1 Doom with less damage lol
I was mostly ok with where they had doom in the last beta; I thought that his block needed some changes, but he felt good. I had hope for the full release, thinking that even if his block was mediocre at best, I'd still have fun with doom's newfound mobility. He was far from being a free win pick; his winrate reflected that. Nevertheless, blizzard seems to think doom must be relegated to the bottom of the pack, or else doom mains might have fun. God forbid.

The way your comment is phrased it's implied you're lamenting how doom has been treated since launch. Doom has been shafted for years, and that's why you're making the "no fun for doom mains" point. You know why I'm talking about doom specifically. His entire kit is cc, he has 2.5 one shots, he's janky as fuck, etc. No other character gets the amount of hate doom does. The reason why it's ironic to lament dooms state is because it's entirely the character's own fault. A hero like doom should never be strong, a doom meta would kill the game in a week.
the only explanation i can think of is that it was actually an accident because they didn't know enough about the techs. imagine ur play testing doom, you look up to try to slam into the air, but instead you just zoom along the ground because you were on a slope. you might just think "slam sometimes doesn't work, that needs to be fixed" I really hope that they see how important the tech was and change it back. if they are worried about it feeling inconsistent to unfamiliar players, they should do something like they did to lucio wallride/mercy jump and just make a change to make the tech feel intentional on the players end. (like if you had to crouch to activate stair slam, or if it was a thing you could unlock in the hero's settings)

One thing I will say about OW2 Doom is that you have the new support who will literally teleport through walls to you when you’re feeding your brains out

"Agent" lol miss me with that Riot Games terminology, I understand people preferring Team Fortress 2 to OW but I see merits to both -- Valo I just see as an inferior CSGO. 2. you severely underestimate the community beyond the most surface-level casuals who dropped the game by 2017. you probably never played a fighting game beyond button-mashing but it takes a ton of effort (not years typically but more than a short time) to learn to use one character ("champ" as you'd probably call them) and not get washed against a competent player. Doomfist was made exactly to appeal to a fighting game player that wants to really dig deep into a character and leverage that knowledge to totally whoop ass in a 1-on-1 encounter with enough applied skill. He even had the friggin Shoryuken as an ability, now that's gone and he got a bootleg Winston jump instead. It wasn't just his mobility but his whole kit designed for DPS, they had to take away that fighting game-catered DPS identity to fit the tank role and they're not able to make it work for him.

I was thinking about a "doomfist fan" who calls himself doomfist and made his own gauntlet, but since he doesn't know about marcial arts and doesn't have the resources Doomfist has, his RP is way weaker and lighter, and his gauntlet us less refined, making him less powerful but more resistant, or something like that
oh she did, and even one of highest, ice wall techs (target isolations, use for defense and mitigate damage), ult cancels, slow, ult and primary combo etc all dead, if that's not high then you are clueless 💀 and honestly doom had it better than her.. doom as a tank is kinda there shoved in tank role but he was never a tank, he was mostly designed to bully supports so just revert him to OW1

Let me ask you a question, in a actual game how important are these techs when youre supposed to be frontline character. Like after they made slam just do 50 damage always i feel like they killed the character there. Because his hole thing was getting the highest point to get a huge 125. Getting big slams was the whole reason why rollouts were a thing. Now its just useless.
With ow2 losing a tank, doom is easily the best tank to move the frontline to contest as fast as possible, then quickly retreat while his team catches up with lower mobility. Also, no, the whole point of these techs were never *entirely* about getting to a high place to 125-slam, they were also a way to conserve and manage your cooldowns to maximize your up-time while contributing to the team fight. Watch Zbra or anyone else that doesnt just play a rollout heavy style like GQO and you'll see.
Techs were mechanics which were fun to use and actually were useful. They added a whole new level of depth to the character instead of being a second winston. Atleast the techs emulated some of dps doom and allowed you to feel some satisfaction but this gameplay just looks depressing
I'm so sad about this. As a Tank Player whose favourite DPS used to be Doomfist, I *loved* the new Doom in the betas. I can do punch cancel tech well _enough,_ but I've always struggled to get much height except on easier rollouts, but the new slam tech just clicked with me and I loved it. I managed to learn to prety consistently pull off Stairslams into a BHop to extend it into a a turn slam, and it was so satisfying. Now... Well I guess I can still BHop normal slams to make them go like an inch further? it's not the same. T.T

All I played in the beta was doomtank. I put over 50 hours into him in the beta. The fact that they removed these tecs makes me very unhappy. All this change does is nerf him again. Why in the world do they keep nerfing him??????? It seems like who ever is running the balance changed now genuinely hates doom fist. I really hope you are able to use your voice as the head doom in this community to make some change. Good luck brother. Hopefully doom gets these tecs back again.

seeing this absolutely crushed me as a doom player. I was so excited to play doom tank with the new skill ceiling and movement. I was angry that they removed the cc because the whole point of moving doom to tank was to keep his cc. They even nerfed his tanking abilities as well..... now this??? This is too far. This NEEDS to be reverted, this kills the hero in its entirety. Doom tank now isn't even close to doom dps. Whoever is behind the balancing is straight up trolling... they have to be.

Doomfist in OW1 is the most unique FPS experience I’ve ever had. His skill set is so unique that it felt like mastering an art. I mean, who else can perform combos in an FPS game? The choice between using abilities offensively or for positioning with rollouts it’s always so exciting and his powerful melee style made the game feel so personal. Instead of shooting bullets, you felt like you were the bullet. Tank doom takes everything that I love about the hero away. I was so surprised about how many people said they liked this new doom for his movement, and so I had some hope, but now it looks like a pipe dream. I’ll never be able to perform the art of DPS doom again and there’s no equal anywhere. Tank doom was a big red flag for me to begin with, and it just keeps getting worse
exactly what i feel. his 3 abilities in OW1 just worked perfectly together whereas i feel that his ones in OW2 don’t offer the same value when used together. it’s an entirely new hero because what made doomfist doomfist was being able to get value out of learning the hero back to front and doing techs and now that that can’t be done the skill ceiling is now too low and the hero should literally be renamed at this point

That is because is the most retarded hero in OW1 and one of the reasons why is not fun to play Overwatch anymore. Along side with other stun/knockback abilities of other heroes, Doomfist was the most problematic with his damage, Doomfist only need to see you to practically destroy you with one rockect punch even if you are a tank you can't do a shit againts him. Doomfist is fun to play, that is a fact but is not fun to play againts. In the moment he punch you and mostly probably kill you, He flee into the air like a fucking bird to escape to a safe zone. And even he has a shield for what ever reason...
Please keep a loud voice to save doomfist, especially since you're a content creator. Love your content, I hope these changes don't go through.

His Slam doesn´t even work completely like a Winston Leap because Winston´s leap at least does boop enemies to the side a bit while Doomfist´s slam only deals damage. I´d hope they would give his slam some CC whatever it would be.

Played him in the beta, loved Tank Doom. Studied up on guides and techs, pulling it all off was a fulfilling experience. Genuinely a massive let down as they purposefully killed the hero I was most looking forward to in Overwatch 2. Excitement for the game just took a massive hit.

Wow. That's very, very sad. The ONLY defense I had for tank Doomfist was his unique movement. You could still do so much with him even if old tech was gone. But now, you're right. He's just a Winston jump. This is a sad, sad change to see. Doomfist should either do a lot of damage (DPS) or have a ton of movement (tank), now he has neither. Thank you for ripping into them this video, I remember back when the beta came out people said streamers were hyping Overwatch 2 for no reason and would always support Blizzard. I remember some people saying tank doom was garbage and you were excited to show different tech's with him. Now it's all removed, bash Blizzard. Ridiculous.

Anti heal is just way too strong for a simple ability cd. That kind of stuff needs to be ultimate only stuff or atleast on a very long cd otherwise it will always destroy any tank without a shield. Same goes for zen orb.

Words cannot describe how much i despise blizzard for ruining this hero. genuinely the only hero in this game that clicked with me naturally and now he's shell of his former self. I get it he was never perfect or balanced in blizzard's vision but this was truly one of the most creative hero's I've played or seen in any multiplayer game tbh and it's shame that us doom mains will never feel that same happiness or dopamine rush that we got by playing dps doom.

I was hoping now that Goodman was gone Doom would finally be allowed to be viable… it’s crazy that Tank Doom has less techs AND CC than DPS Doom. What’s the point of moving him to tank when he has less CC than the DPS version? Turned the most fun/creative hero into a less useful Winston/Ball.
Ball has cool tech and has a high af skill ceiling. Even monkey has some techs, and has a pretty high skill ceiling esp during primal. The new doom looks like a sand bag that can jump, basically useless

I’m now less excited since there really doesn’t seem to be a reason to play Doom over those heroes as they are tankier, have comparable mobility and do more damage than he does.

@@nicoow2493 I actually have more playtime on Ball than I do Doom. Doom’s game sense translates really well with Ball and the understanding of map geometry that you get by playing Doom is a plus too
I think a really good change for doom would be an augment on his melee. Everyone was pissed when he had a normal melee after he came out and now that zen has his kick we know they are open to it, so maybe have it do like a little extra damage and give it like a slow or something

Feels like they are taking doom out of the game without "taking doom out of the game" firsty by making him tank as an excuse to nerf his damage into the ground, but tank doom was still fun with his mobility even if it's less than dps doom. Then now take away what was left of his mobility, he's just dead. More people complain about doom than love him. which is a shame hes one of only a few truly fun heroes in this game. They don't want overwatch to be a tech game, they want to migrate it towards being like valorant where abilities don't matter as much.
The fact that quaked is saying these things means they messed up badly.
I already felt like the initial version of tank doom was a step in the wrong direction, although I acknowledge that I'm probably also in the minority for thinking so. The changes might have given him more movement, but it also dramatically lowered the skill ceiling for the movement. Seismic doing same amount of damage was also something I felt eh about. It required game sense and/or technical skill to set up a good slam. It was also about being good in finding the balance on when to do a max slam vs just a quick one. Now it doesn't matter, you might as well just seismic from the front. You could try and do it from behind to surprise, but there's no reason to do it from the skies anymore.
End of an era. Oh well...
the problem i see with most BIG games is that when they are just getting popular, they release super fun and unique heroes, such as doom, but as the years go by, and as the mains discover new advaced techs, they always try to push the champ down to the same level as other champs, not realizing that it's not the champ that's op, it's the dedicated community that knows how to play him.
When I played Doom during the first beta, the stair slam and turn slam techs were the funnest parts of him. Having that mobility to juke out your opponents and feeling very unique compared to other tanks. Now my fear of him just feeling like Winston is coming true. 😮💨

In the first beta with his slowdown he was an A tier character who gave consistent value. For the 2cnd beta with no cc he was a D tier character and already the worst tank with just this change alone. There was no reason to remove these techs now considering he was already a high skill low reward character, but not he’s just a definite f tier
There was nothing wrong with old doomfist it was just a bunch of people bitching and moaning about “ omg he can kill me with a move that takes a long time to charge and has a very loud audio que with hit box being the size of a semi truck”

I was mostly ok with where they had doom in the last beta; I thought that his block needed some changes, but he felt good. I had hope for the full release, thinking that even if his block was mediocre at best, I'd still have fun with doom's newfound mobility. He was far from being a free win pick; his winrate reflected that. Nevertheless, blizzard seems to think doom must be relegated to the bottom of the pack, or else doom mains might have fun. God forbid.

The way your comment is phrased it's implied you're lamenting how doom has been treated since launch. If you weren't, it doesn't make sense why he would get a single bad change and you think blizzard has it out for doom players. Doom has been shafted for years, and that's why you're making the "no fun for doom mains" point.
You know why I'm talking about doom specifically. His entire kit is cc, he has 2.5 one shots, he's janky as fuck, etc. No other character gets the amount of hate doom does. The reason why it's ironic to lament dooms state is because it's entirely the character's own fault. A hero like doom should never be strong, a doom meta would kill the game in a week.
the only explanation i can think of is that it was actually an accident because they didn't know enough about the techs. imagine ur play testing doom, you look up to try to slam into the air, but instead you just zoom along the ground because you were on a slope. you might just think "slam sometimes doesn't work, that needs to be fixed"
I really hope that they see how important the tech was and change it back. if they are worried about it feeling inconsistent to unfamiliar players, they should do something like they did to lucio wallride/mercy jump and just make a change to make the tech feel intentional on the players end. (like if you had to crouch to activate stair slam, or if it was a thing you could unlock in the hero's settings)

To anyone who's confused on why they did it:
1. His Mobility was too extreme.
2. Most people don't want to study an Agent for years to be effective.
1. "Agent" lol miss me with that Riot Games terminology, I understand people preferring Team Fortress 2 to OW but I see merits to both -- Valo I just see as an inferior CSGO.
2. you severely underestimate the community beyond the most surface-level casuals who dropped the game by 2017. you probably never played a fighting game beyond button-mashing but it takes a ton of effort (not years typically but more than a short time) to learn to use one character ("champ" as you'd probably call them) and not get washed against a competent player. Doomfist was made exactly to appeal to a fighting game player that wants to really dig deep into a character and leverage that knowledge to totally whoop ass in a 1-on-1 encounter with enough applied skill. He even had the friggin Shoryuken as an ability, now that's gone and he got a bootleg Winston jump instead. It wasn't just his mobility but his whole kit designed for DPS, they had to take away that fighting game-catered DPS identity to fit the tank role and they're not able to make it work for him.
$20 skins and they remove over half of dooms mobility, two things already ruined

@@michaelpurdon7032 no shit it’s art, art is awesome. But their are 35 characters in this game, and having to pick a single skin when you like multiple hero’s sucks. Nothing in a video game should be worth $20 if it includes a single thing. Sure they come with emotes and highlight intros, but that’s still not enough.
Coolest hero in the game is now gonna be one of the least fun to play.
i think it'd be neat if there were 2 different settings for doomfist to be played as tank or dps. like a tank and dps module he'd install on himself? idk anything but this
I was thinking about a "doomfist fan" who calls himself doomfist and made his own gauntlet, but since he doesn't know about marcial arts and doesn't have the resources Doomfist has, his RP is way weaker and lighter, and his gauntlet us less refined, making him less powerful but more resistant, or something like that

oh she did, and even one of highest, ice wall techs (target isolations, use for defense and mitigate damage), ult cancels, slow, ult and primary combo etc all dead, if that's not high then you are clueless 💀 and honestly doom had it better than her..
doom as a tank is kinda there shoved in tank role but he was never a tank, he was mostly designed to bully supports so just revert him to OW1

I genuinely enjoy tank doom but what they did to the character is tragic. He was such a unique character and I loved watching doom players enjoy him.

Doomfist being a tank does not seem right to me.
Let me ask you a question, in a actual game how important are these techs when youre supposed to be frontline character. Like after they made slam just do 50 damage always i feel like they killed the character there. Because his hole thing was getting the highest point to get a huge 125. Getting big slams was the whole reason why rollouts were a thing. Now its just useless.
With ow2 losing a tank, doom is easily the best tank to move the frontline to contest as fast as possible, then quickly retreat while his team catches up with lower mobility. Also, no, the whole point of these techs were never *entirely* about getting to a high place to 125-slam, they were also a way to conserve and manage your cooldowns to maximize your up-time while contributing to the team fight. Watch Zbra or anyone else that doesnt just play a rollout heavy style like GQO and you'll see.
Techs were mechanics which were fun to use and actually were useful. They added a whole new level of depth to the character instead of being a second winston. Atleast the techs emulated some of dps doom and allowed you to feel some satisfaction but this gameplay just looks depressing
Tank Doom isn't a frontline tank, he's an opportunist and environmentalist type of character.

As a Tank Player whose favourite DPS used to be Doomfist, I *loved* the new Doom in the betas.
I can do punch cancel tech well _enough,_ but I've always struggled to get much height except on easier rollouts, but the new slam tech just clicked with me and I loved it.
I managed to learn to prety consistently pull off Stairslams into a BHop to extend it into a a turn slam, and it was so satisfying.
Now... Well I guess I can still BHop normal slams to make them go like an inch further?
