    Ive always been an advocate of taking a lengthy break.. few weeks for healing does wonders. Eat normally. If you do it right you wont loose any significant amount of mass. But new growth will explode. Cycles aren't reserved just for carbs & drugs. Healing has nothing but benefit. This show always delivers!

    I train at home and for building calves I used to do standing calf raises holding a dumbbell. I then saw a different excercise online and this is SO much better. You lay a EZ curl bar loaded up on your knees and stack a couple of plates on the floor to do the calf raises off the side of (as in using the plates as a step to really stretch the calves) This is working wonders and is very similar to seated machine calf raises but I'm actually getting better results with this version. Highly recommended!

    Hey Sid DC had us extreme stretch which helped another of ways especially with muscle soreness. Look up Doggcrapp Extreme Stretches. Hold them for a minute long AFTER you train each bodypart.

    Think of your HEELS RAISING instead of the usual way you think during calves. A much stronger connection/contraction. Hold the top contraction for 3 seconds and stretch the bottom for 15 seconds (DC TRAINING). IMAGINE YOUR TOES REACHING YOUR KNEES. WARNING this will be painful and difficult! Start with a lighter weight than usual.

    If it isn't working out is is most likely you. Sleep, diet, training. There is less fake gear out there than people think. You training should be difficult. If you leave there feeling like you can still take on the world than you probably aren't cuttin it. If you go to sleep at midnight and wake up at 5am you aren't gonna grow (unless you're 20 lol)

      Train hard and rest the body part until the soreness is completely gone. Some parts may take ten days to heal correctly. Eating, sleeping are as important as training.

    It must be a complete joke that guys are taking advice from Palumbo to shrink their waist. 🤣👍🏼 Dave Palumbo had the most blown up waist in the history of Bodybuilding, even Palumboism is named after him. Palumbo had a bigger waist than Ben Pakulski and that speak for it self! 😉

    Dave is a genius when it comes to nutrition and protocols . But i completely disagree with his training recommendations . Especially with weak body parts . I’ve fucking destroyed my calves 1-2 x a week . And they barely grew . It wasn’t until i started doing calves 4-5 x a week that they grew to a respectable level .

      @@Tren681 I’m a trainer and coach and I’ve seen this with everyone I’ve trained that had weak calves . Calves need frequency , variation AND intensity to grow if they are stubborn .

      @@josephohrablo4866 Calves are predominantly made up of slow-twitch fibers therefore will respond better to higher reps not necessarily more frequency.
