The pond looks great. It's good to have friends to help when needed. Mike you have a good looking family. Family is what makes life exciting. God Bless.
Cap’n that pond is looking most spectacular... can’t wait to get there and pull out some lunkers! Gary, glad to meet you. Thanx for partnering to bring this little piece of heaven to earth. Cap’n I enjoyed all the camera work that you did... my favorite shot was popping that tire into the loader bucket. I have n old rear tire off my neighbors lawn mower. I’m going out this afternoon to try it with my baby Kubota loader. Thanks for giving me a new trick to add to my stunt resume!
Seems like your next door neighbor is really awesome and that amazing that this awesome pond will be shared by many great job ya'll thumbs up my friends lucky kids with amazing parents thanks for that
I love your neighbor, when that big clump of straw covered him up he just stood there and smiled. I'd have about 4 sinus infections if that were me. Stay safe brother.
yeah, I was watching him and expected some reaction, but the big grin on his face was not what I had anticipated. That put a big grin on my face too. 👍
The pond looks great, you and your neighbor work very well together. The pond is something that will be used for generations with family and friends. Thanks for sharing. The straw machine looks like you have to be aware of what you’re doing or it will take you out! Kevin
IF you want a pond that doesn't look like creamed coffee. Try covering where the water sits with river stone. We did that with ours and after it filled up and settled. It cleared up nicely.
27:38 Wait for it! 27:43 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭😭 My eyes are blood shot and my abs hurt from laughing so damn hard!!!! The pond turned out amazing. Can't wait to see it full and useable for everyone!
Always enjoy watching your videos. Was going through some of your older ones and watched this one....imagine my surprise when I seen the bale chopper. I worked for Goosen Industries from 1998 to 2001. I can't count how many of those things I've built, PTO driven and gas engine powered.
Looks good Mikey! For future reference the bale chopper is designed to take an entire bale at a time. If the knives inside are sharp, you dont even need to cut the twine on the bale, but if they get dull then the twine will jamb up the knives. More rpm's means great chopping power and better throwing distance. but I am sure you figured that part out.
It always seems to take forever to get going some days. Getting fuel, topping off oil and fluids, starting problems, low air tires, to many pop cups to count, connecting hydraulic lines issues, the list goes on. Good job.
Gary gets covered in straw and then I notice Captain Kleeman was thinking ahead and had moved his pop bottle out of harms way. Makes you wonder 🤔 if Captain Kleeman knew what was about to happen to Neighbor Gary. 🤣😂🤣😂
Great video as always Capt, I want a pond dug even more now. Also, thats an awesome looking hat you have on near the end of the video.😁 Thank you so much for the shout out.
I am a little behind on watching, so I jumped to the top of the video list and I have to say, that pond looks great. No wonder the kids want to jump in. Too bad it isn't summer right now. Imagine the water slide you could do down that dam right now.
do a overflow with a riser that comes up flush with the water level as close to the middle as you can. the surface draining action really does a good job off keeping off the leaves and junk floating on the surface
Pond turned out slick captain 👌 a shame little piece of wire cause so much headache. Neighbor seems like a good fellow, just like the rest you Indianians. Stay blessed
Awww man I was waiting for a splash from ya. I'm still hopeful you will dive in that pond to break it in. Hey that straw blower sure makes short work out of spreading hay and straw !!!! Great vid Cpt and keep em coming my friend.
Back at Lake Kleeman, rip rap will settle into its new home, you were quick to chuck those stones around Mike 😂 Banks will look smashing in spring, pleased Gary assisted you with the straw blowing, wonder how many aircraft tried to home in on the blower while it was spinning??? 🤔🤦♂️ I'm sure Chelsea and the girls were not pleased at being cut off in their prime either 🤦♂️🤣
When I started operating 45 years ago hearing protection consisted of cotton balls stuck in your ears. That techhas come a long way and If you could hear the ringing in my ears today, you would avail yourself to it.
Looking closely at that piece of wire, it looks more like a hardened steel tine from some sort of farm machine, might have already been in the blower or in the very first bit of the straw bale, Anyway you got it working okay in the end The pond is looking really good and once the seed gets going it will be awesome......
@@rodneystewart8958 It was my thought before I had seen that you found the wire blocking the hose. I just know there are a few people who wouldn't ever think that the twine could cause havoc in a machine like that. Ponds looking good! Really interested in what it will look like next season or the one after that, all grown up w plant life.
me and my question on the gibbled upload ;) oddly, I saw the video that YT broke before they broke it. I think the hay/straw blower could have the hose length shortened but it's still set for a 4 person crew. 1 driver, 1 loader, 1 hose handler and 1 runner to keep getting more straw.
and it ain't falling leaves here yet. :p check here on YT for False Creek Fuel, local fuel dock that has a weather cam showing part of their operation and the activities as well as the weather. Just remember, it's Pacific Time here. during daylight you can easily see the greenery on the north side of the water.
whats the purpose of the shredded straw? is it just to dry the top and add some structure so it doesn't wash away so easily now that it's bare clay? or is it for sowing grass seed onto?
Man, that pond looks great 👍🏻 It's going to look really nice in spring when the trees come alive again. On my way to check out the Time Lapse Towboater channel!
If the same shaft drives the blower that drives the chopper, why did the chopper blades keep turning when the blower stopped turning or did they both stop and the rotator just kept turning as the belt slipped on the chopper/rotator shaft? Is there a clutch in the system or is there a key sheared? That looks like a pain to add straw to but it ppears that there is a belt tensioner to stop the feed chute rotation.
Great job Mike. The finished job looks great. Glad you got the “straw blower”fixed.🥰🥰🥰🥰

Thanks for sharing your video. That’s still one nice looking pond. Nice to see the kids having fun. Stay safe, wishing you and your family the best.

Capt, the pond is coming along very nice, can't wait until the finished project when the neighbor and you sit down for a little fishing... 👍
I agree! Cant wait.

Hey appreciate you watching!
Glad you added the bonus footage I just love the property you have
Great video. The pond banks looked much steeper today. It will be nice to see everything green again.

Thanks Gary for all the support in getting this job finished, I know you will enjoy the benefits of this project just as much as the Kleeman family.

Looks like your neighbor was having fun with that straw blower.
I think so too!
Another great video 👍

Always check the oil and water before starting.

What about the bailing twine? Could that be wrapped around the blower?
Don’t think so.
Yes the string will get tangled inside we just cut the string as we fill the hopper

Not my field but i enjoyed watching and I'm wondering what the hay is for. Does it work like glass fibers in fiberglass?
It helps retain moisture for the grass seed and keep the birds from eating the seed
I suggest, extend the pipe down the pond, and bury it to avoid the slope get eroded.
