But don't trust those Bowflex dumbbells. Had the same pair until one day I was doing flys with them. The plates detached right over my face. Luckily it was only the 2.5 pound plate that fell off but I still had to go the emergency room and get stitched up (left a nasty scar and damn near knocked me out when it happened).
For those who don't know, the plates lock on and unlock when put back on the rack and the weight's dialed back. Sometimes though, they have a tough time unlocking and will get stuck, or not lock on as securely as they should (what happened in my case). Sucks, because they're really damn convenient. Hopefully they make them better now.

Thanks dude. Definitely want a cleaner set up in the future, but this is perfect for now. yeah im kinda scared of that happening right now with the bowflex plates - i see the plastic rubbing off and chipping. Avoiding most things overhead just for that reason lol
