Just discovered these videos. They're fantastic and I find it inspiring the I can start astronomy and astrophotography without the correct research and without busting the bank. I'm currently looking at getting my first telescope as I write this.
I've just experienced looking through one of these 70/700's that I was loaned today after I mentioned that I'm about to buy a scope. Of course I first looked at the moon, them's the rules. This was my first ever look at the sky through any scope. Just above the moon tonight, on a night that was supposed to promise 100% cloud cover throughout, I saw Jupiter with it's rings and 4 moons. What an amazing experience. Yeah sure, it's small in the 20mm eyepiece but surprisingly clear. That, Mr. Astrobiscuit, is what I'm here to thank you for. This and your other budget video inspired me to become a nerd. To see that on my first experimental go was amazing and all down to your inspiration. Many other videos, channels, forums etc. convinced me to go "full nerd" and get a 6" dob, or 8" if I can. That's way too much money for me, so I've been watching the classifieds hard and am collecting an 8" newt on an eq mount tomorrow - Well within the £100 limit. Don't be too afraid of used kit. You can get a lot for £100 if you familiarise yourself with what they're all about first and what to look for.
I know this is two years later but I just discovered your channel and have to say that imo this is a great video. A surprise guest appearance by Damien Peach!?! And the results for all three planets are jaw-dropping. Nice work!

Absolutely awe inspiring. I managed, through some good friends and even better luck, to get my hands on a sky watcher 10'' dob for free. I plan on starting my astro journey with it. The first goal of mine is to capture our solar system and then upgrade my equipment and go deep space!
I know imaging seems to be the rage now, but I feel lucky enough to have a decent telescope. Slowly putting an eyepiece and filter collection together, too.
Just found your channel via a link on facebook in UK Astronomy. Brilliant stuff with a refreshing style which is not at all nerdy! Subscribed! You've inspired me to do some work on videos I took in 2004/5 of Saturn and Jupiter, using the Toucam Pro. When you tested that, what OS were you using on your laptop? I got the camera working on Win7, but no luck on Win10. Being CCD rather than CMOS, I think it still has potential, if I can get it working! Keep up the great work!
So, this is the first time I see this freak guy and I totally loved him! Subscribed! Aaaaaand, he even managed to mindblow Destin! Without laminar flow?? HOW???? xDDDDDDD

Please keep us entertained with your stunning videos and let's push these Budget Astronomy videos out to our viewers. Clear Skies from me!!!
This channel is a mystery to me. At first I was like... only 1k views, a few hundred subscribers, it's probably not that great. I binge watched everything because it was awesome. I hope you'll eventually get some recognition.
+Godfraind Nicolas thx mate fingers crossed eh😜
Totally true I feel the UK Astro tubers get a bum deal here on TH-cam
Thx martin for the encouragement. I'm going to try and put out more shorter one, one every week and we'll see if that makes a difference. .. And yes ill mention A4B... It was after all one of the first facebook groups i posted on.
Aw this video was actually better and more entertaining than any professionally made TV program on the subject. New subscriber!

Hola, magnífico video. Me encantaría saber como procesaste los videos para obtener tal calidad de fotos de los planetas. Espero entiendas mi español. Saludos desde Chile.
Just want to say thanks for these great videos. Loving the fact you can get these incredible shots for a few hundred quid. I'm getting on ebay and getting a scope...I'm doing it.!!
Made me laugh and enjoyed the content CBeebies should pick you up would be great for the kids to watch too, clear skies dude
Dont let the BBC touch this man.
dude you are awesome , remember this you are the first astrophotography youtuber i watch
Why isn't this already on BBC?
The BBC are only interested in peddling woke social justice narratives that haemorrhage viewers. They're not interested in quality programming.
at first I thought wtf is this, and after 20 minutes i love this. The editing, the humour, content, and also the british english xDDD

Great work Rory and Riktenstein! Epic! I am now comparing my first year images to this year and what a journey it has been.
Yeh astrophotography is addictive isn't it... But crazy, i mean takes up so much time and more often than not something goes wrong 😅
