Fun fact: George didn’t write a lot of his songs and also has been married to his wife for many many years now so I doubt he’s a “fireman” or if his baby really did get good at goodbyes
There’s a lot of legends in country.. Jones, Haggard, Cash, Jennings, Nelson.. but George Strait is the undisputed King of Country with 60 number one hits ❤️

Maybe it’s because of my age one of the Kings songs I relate to now is Old Violin. It is a cover but then George really doesn’t make a bad song. Give it a listen if you get a chance. Compare his voice from his first hit Unwound to this one. Still great but in my humble opinion so much richer with age.
George strait became the king when George Jones passed away George straight became the King and he always will be the King nobody will ever surpass him
Travis Tritt Trilogy is a story in 3 videos The First Song of the Trilogy; 'Anymore' The Second Song; 'Tell Me I Was Dreaming' The Third Song; 'If I Lost You
George is a real cowboy, owns a ranch, and use to rodeo. He sings what he’s lived. One of the best. Another cowboy Chris LeDoux (deceased) who use to rodeo, turned singer. In fact Garth Brooks said Chris LeDoux and Kiss were some of his biggest influences and why his live shows were like they were. Hers a some very good ones from Chris : This Cowboys Hat, Tougher Than the Rest, Life is a Highway, He Rides the Wild Horses, Whatcha Gonna Do With a Cowboy, Look At You Girl, Bang a Drum, Hooked On An Eight Second Ride, and Western Skies. I totally understand that dreaded phone call as my son rode bulls for 9 years. Waiting at home for the call was actually harder than watching him ride. But unfortunately the life of a rodeo rider is hard for family to attend the rodeos as they are all over the country. Well after 9 years, that real bad call came in. They were loading him in an ambulance, the bull had hit him in the head and knocked him out, then while he layed on the ground, the bull tripped and fell upside down on top of him. Crushing all of his ribs that went in and punctured both lungs causing both lungs to collapse. His pelvis was broken on both sides, T-1 in his neck broken, and his tail bone. He survived an hour before he arrived at the emergency room where he coded and they brought him back and air lifted him to a trauma center. By the grace of God, he has made a full recovery. Yes 6 months later he was back riding bulls. Which he did for about another year. He said he didn’t want anyone telling him he had to stop, he wanted to make the decision himself. I know he misses it. But he still works cattle on a ranch and rides horses, and is now bringing up two of his own sons passing on the tradition. I have to say, I’m glad those days are behind us. It’s just one of those feelings you’re so proud of them following their dreams, but yet scared to death.
I literally listened to this song thousands of times and wen he said he can make it to Cheyenne I thought he meant he was gonna catch her until you explained it lol
You also have to get into : Waylon Jennings, George Jones, Conway Twitty, Johnny Cash, Don Williams, Tanya Tucker, Chris Ledoux, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams Jr, Loretta Lynn, Hank Williams Sr, Glen Campbell, The Gatlin Brothers, Alabama, The Bellamy Brothers, Patsy Cline, Kris Kristopherson, Keith Whitley, Charlie Pride, John Denver, Buck Owens, Roy Clark, Ronnie Milsap,, Marty Robbins, Dwight Yoakam, Brooks & Dunn, Charlie Daniels Band, Jeanne C Riley, Donna Fargo, Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette, Kitty Wells, Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris, Johnny Lee, Mickey Gilley, Kenny Rogers, Allison Kraus and Union Station, Gary Allen, Jerry Reed, and Red Sovine. If you want to get some great laughs with nice clean jokes: Jerry Clower.
This song is sad. Love this song and George. But I was always mad he would never play in Washington state so I never got to see him live. But now I won’t go to Washington state either so I can’t be mad
Naw bro, Ole George is stone cold he is hitting the next Rodeo. They probably been together 10 years and he just gives her a couple words and keeps moving
I think George Straight has to be the Goat! I love his music and has been around longer than Kenny Chesney..BUT.....I LOVE ME SOME KENNY CHESNEY!! SEEN HIM b4 times in concert..Kenny in real life concerts ,and I've been to many concerts is by far my favorite entertainer ....Best concerts I've been too!!
Brotha you need to react to some Cody Johnson, he’s trying to keep old country still alive following the greats like George strait, For example “Nothing on you” “Made a home” “I don’t know a thing about love” “I always wanted to” These are just some from his recent albums but you should make a Reaction to Cody Johnson next, I think you’ll really love him
This has got to be the best break-up song ever! She's leaving him for another guy, who ain't a rodeo man. And what is his reaction? Baby, I'm sorry it's come to this, and I'm sure gonna miss you. But it's alright, gotta go, if I hurry I can still make Cheyenne. Yeah, there's always another rodeo.
George Is great but the true cowboy of country is Chris LeDoux. A great story rodeo song is "Silence on the Line". Also his most iconic song is probably "This Cowboys Hat"
This song is where my sister got her name. Came from parents being at a show while being pregnant with her and just clicked. Dudes king but Alan Jackson the goat, different but both undefeated

This is like someone telling you that he is retiring and coming home to you and you going nope, too late and he responds with ok, I'm going to go play in the Superbowl, World Series, World Cup.....
I've been listening to this song since I was a kid, and I think you gave me a different perspective of it. I always thought "Cheyenne" was "Home". That's the best part about music. 10 people could hear the same lyrics and take 10 different meanings away from it.
Cheyenne is where the next rodeo stop is. He wasn't going to go, he was going to go home to her instead but now since there's no reason, he's going to the next rodeo event. It's a breakup song about someone who is married to the rodeo and the road more than he ever was to her.
I would say overall George Strait is the king. But there are some definitely real close 2nds. Alan Jackson, Hank Williams, Conway Twitty, Garth Brooks. But definitely over all of them is George Strait. Keep doing awesome videos gibby. 🤘
I don't know if you have listened to anything off of his newest album from a couple years ago. One of my new favorites off of it is called Old Violin. Should check it out.
if you love that country fiddle, it's hard to beat George Strait. I'm probably ignorant, there might be some super famous player, who I don't know. But the fiddle in his songs speaks to me, and I'm not a full on country fan.
Hey Gibby, can you please react to Thirsty of Hate - Vazio my man ? Hardcore Beatdown Band from Brazil, great quality, good lyrics, heavy like a bulldozer hahahahah ! I will be so glad man, thank you so much ❤️

NOW THAT IS WHAT IM TALKING!! King GEORGE and the song that alway makes me filled with EMOTIONS!! 🙏🙏
George Strait is called, publicly, the King of country. I have never heard anybody dispute that.
I'm actually a relative of George Jones and I still say Strait is the King of country
There’s a lot of legends in country.. Jones, Haggard, Cash, Jennings, Nelson.. but George Strait is the undisputed King of Country with 60 number one hits ❤️
He needs to react to some Clint black!! Very underrated legend!
Woah, that’s a heavy opinion because number one hits doesn’t make someone a king lol
@@MLGB0Yz hey man, I don’t make the rules 😂

Cheyenne could be anything for a dedicated man. This song is deeper than you think.

George Strait is the King of Country for a reason. There's no one like Mr. Strait. He just sounds so amazing.
One of my favorite GS songs...nice...
this song always bring me to tears it's always hard when your wife tells you to not come back cause she's divorcing you, i can say i've live thru what this song explains
A cowboy that loves the rodeo more than his woman . One of those things where you have to be a cowboy to understand.
“I hate Everything” very underrated song by the king
George Strait is the king. There are other greats. For me to it's always Strait.
